This was the second Freecom drive I tried recently, the first had tripped up while being written to. The same happened with this one. I wondered if it was my computer etc, all up to date with Windows 10. But writing >500 gbytes this machine refused to as well. In fairness to Freecom I still have the aluminium chassis 3tb version working perfectly.The Transcend 2tb 2.5in usb3 machine, with, I believe military grade drop in protection finally purchased has performed flawlessly, proving it is not my system. I would recommend that, not these mass-badged substitutes for quality. Sorry but that is my experience.

The top review on the Amazon website so that it came with two cables USB3 and USBC. Mine only came with one USB 3 cable. I am disappointed as I wanted to use it with my new MacBook which has USBC
