Yes, it speaks German- that is clearly written in the listing and you should know if you buy it.It's a great toy for toddlers, sturdy, colourful and exciting between the lights and the sounds. The figures are just the right size for little hands with no scope for breakage or accessories to be lost (and can withstand the occasional chew).Can also be mixed and matched with other Little people sets (the zebra and the lion seem to be taking the train today!).
