The Jupiter 2 Laminator works surprisingly well; the finish is a professional one, but perhaps given the price I should have expected as much, as this item is not cheap. The replacement pouches luckily can be bought for under £10.00.It is quick, but yes it is also noisy, however, no noisier than my printer. But then again the laminator does take longer than the average sized document takes to print. But for me the speed is excellent.Thought has gone into the design, which is streamlined and not unattractive. It's also compact and will take up little desk space should you wish to have it displayed permanently.Most importantly,

I've previously used the Fellowes Vega 2 A3 Laminator which is fairly adequate for a Home Office. This Jupiter 2 model is a step up and perhaps more suited to a small office in a business or an institution such as a school, library or church office. It is robust and reassuringly heavy. It also has more attractive modern styling than the Vega 2 and you will be quite happy to have it out permanently on a desk or shelf rather than stored away in a cupboard.What I liked most of all about this laminator is just how quick and easy it is. Switching on is very intuitive and everything is automatic - no thickness or heat settings to fiddle with. It warms up for use in about a minute and will have your first A4 sheet laminated in another 45 secs or so.

Quick to start up, handles large sheets (up to A3) and design features that promise smooth finishes (I have seen some horrible wrinked results) this is the best laminator I have used so far. I would advise that quality does mean the higher RRP is justified, and I would recommend it for users with higher volume output requirements. Remember there is regular additional outlay for pouches, and obviously the company is pushing its own supply. With its jam free guarantee on own brand pouches, it is not to be sniffed at, and there are a number of pouches which didn't give the same quality finish.If you need one thanks to regular use and are comparing the potential purchases, this is the one I would settle for.

I have a bit of a thing about laminators and have had the privilege of trying a few - my own and in work. Needless to say, this is by far the best that I have ever used. It is the simplest, easiest and has given the best results. If you are looking for a workhorse that will be able to handle a great deal of laminating, then this is the purchase to click on.

This laminator is (relatively) quick to start and easy to use. It's better suited to a frequent user: an office or school, than a home user like me. The kids love it though!

good fast machine , wanted one that could deal with mini office environment -- read reviews this was best have to agree seems to be than the occasional use machines

very good a lot better than the last one we had it pays to pay a little bit more and hopefully it will last longer as well
