I wanted a laminator for very occasional use, and this one so far has been just what I needed.Pros:Very small footprint, packs away into its box when not in use.Laminates up to A3 - so far I've used it successfully for credit card sized up to A4.Works fine with 150 micron (2 x 75 micron) A4 pouches, and 250 micron credit-card sized pouches.Doesn't get too hot on the outside - it is hot to the touch on top but not enough to burn.Quiet (almost silent).I'm happy with the result - seals effectively around the edges, gives a nice smooth finish as long as you choose the right thickness of paper.Cons:Slow to warm up (around 5 minutes).Green light tells you when it's reached temperature but no light when it's warming up.Recommends using only 150 micron pouches, which are fairly thin. I have used slightly thicker pouches for small items but won't risk it for A4.When laminating 80 gsm A4 paper, I had problems with creases. 100 gsm paper worked well, and still sealed effectively. You might need to experiment with different paper thicknesses as much thicker paper may stop the pouch sealing effectively. It's slow - fine for a few odd pages but definitely for occasional rather than daily use.Doesn't come with any pouches so you need to buy supplies to get started. The laminator comes with an instruction booklet, of which 2 pages are in English and don't really tell you anything except to use 150 micron pouches.A cardboard sheet is supplied which you're supposed to put through after each session to clean the laminator.I'm very happy with this - it's just what I need for occasional use, to protect a poster/page or make a label or laminated card. I will update if I get to use it for A3 pages.Update: I have now used this for A3, very successfully. I used the branded pouches of recommended thickness

This laminator is probably not intended for heavy use but rather for the odd laminating job you might have around the house. It is very compact (much more so than other laminators I have used) which makes it easy to store; it is light too which could mean that it is more fragile in the longterm. The power cable is short (about a metre) so you will need to be near a socket in order to use it. It comes with a thick instruction book (not that you will need it - using it is rather straightforward) with a variety of languages (each language has only a couple of pages so it is thick because of the multiplicity of languages, not because of the detail of the instructions). Unlike most laminators I have owned,it comes with a handy cleaning sheet that you are supposed to use after each use of the laminator in order to extend its life. One thing that I would warn about is the time it takes to heat up - it must have been about 5 minutes before the little green light said that I could start laminating and this is quite a while to wait. It also recommends that you use 150mcn laminating pouches and does not allow you to set the heat for different sizes. It laminates perfectly well and I can notice no difference in the end result between this and other much more expensive laminators that I have used. It is probably the perfect little machine for the home with light use. However, if you want to do bulk laminating, I think it's flimsy nature, slow heating time, and the rather loud whirring of the motor might end up being problematic.

The GBC Inspire A3 Laminator is pretty much an entry level machine, probably aimed at the home market rather than small office.Very light weight and fairly small too. The Rexel that we have in the office is probably 3 times bigger and heavier and cost 5 times as much. The Inspire A3 is simple to put together and operate ...there is a switch on the back, and when the led on the front lights up green ... you are ready to go. Heat up time was about 5 minutes, and there is a low level hum from the unit, but not intrusive. Results from my usage to date has been OK, using a combination of light and standard laminating pouches ... I will try it on some heavier weight ones soon and report back.

It's a basic laminator that appears best suited towards the thinner 75-125 micron pouches. Whilst the outputs are fine and look pretty good in fact, the only mark down is the relatively slow warm-up time when you first switch-on (it's a little annoying so just plan ahead). For outputs like school projects and the like, this laminator is more than good enough. Slightly odd grey cardboard sheet is supplied, which alleges it's for cleaning the laminator head - haven't seen one of these before !

A good lightweight laminator. I was surprised by how compact it was given that it takes A3 pouches. Perfect for home or light office use, certainly not for situations where many projects need laminating in one session. It is quite slow, but inline with other laminator so that have also been designed for light usage. It comes with a card sheet that is designed for cleaning the rollers, something that I have never had with a laminator before, but a good idea to keep the unit in tiptop shape.

I'm not sure about how value-for-money this would be at the as-of-writing crossed-off RRP cost of £60, but for half that price it's very decent. It's light but of sturdy build and does the job easily. Perhaps you wouldn't consider it if you're anything more than an individual or small business as it's not very fast. There's no free pouches with it, but at this price that's expected (they're cheap anyway).

Despite taking sheets up to A3, this laminator is surprisingly neat and compact. It takes a little while to warm up, but once it's set up, it's very easy to use, just switch it on and once it's warmed up, you're ready. It doesn't come with any laminating pouches and I struggled to find the 75 micron ones suggested but it still worked with 80 micron pouches. My daughter is now laminating everything!

This laminator is only just wider than the width of an A4 sheet and very narrow so it takes up a minimal amount of space on the desk.In terms of speed, it's steady away. If you have dozens of sheets to laminate at once it will be laborious but if you have the occasional need to laminate the odd few sheets, you can't go wrong for the price.

Takes up little desk space. Great value for money. Takes about 5 minutes to heat up. Simple to use. Need to run the cardboard sheet through it when finished. Great for doing the occasional page. It would be very slow and overworked if you did a lot of laminating on a daily basis. But then this product is not designed for that

A bit slow to heat up and the green "ready" light is much smaller than the power light and not very clear to see from my desk. Picky points and don't affect the use of the laminator. Very compact and performs well for our small office.

A smashing little laminator - takes up no space at all, and sensibly includes a cleaning sheet in the package. This was bought as a replacement - and I prefer this one.

One disadvantage if you laminate one paper at a time every time you have to wait about 5 mins for laminator to warm up, but all the rest is great.

Bought this item for occasional use at home and it works very well, takes a little while to reach temperature but for what I want its fine.

Good value for money but one ore two of many laminating attempts resulted in finished result having wrinkly but over all very good.

Dispa hed promptly and a great laminator. It heats up quickly and slides through easily and quickly too. Perfect if your in a rush.
