This doll is adorable. I had avoided this brand since I never saw any appeal in the 'old-fashioned' dolls, but what a darling this doll is!At first it felt quite hollow, but it is vynil and the face is just as cute as the photos suggest. Nancy is not a large doll, bigger than our other dolls but it is quite lightweight and so sweet, with the sleeping eyes, my little girl took to her at once, maybe even more than any other doll I have introduced to her so far.I guess the eye and hair colour combination on this particular model is ace, it just goes so nicely with the colour of the vynil of the face. It also gives the doll a cheeky (but sweet) look, very 70s,and very fresh too.The is a tiny dent on the left leg but since minis are reserved for occasions, it is not really visible.This doll has short'ish arms. But I like our Nancy nonetheless. I tried to look up the original Nancies, and (as far as I can judge) these arms are probably as long as they get with these dolls. And I believe a newly produced doll is a better choice if only for the materials, as - let's admit it - synthetic fibres are not meant to be kept for too long. So I am really glad there is an option to buy an original look-alike of the same brand that is 'fresh in the box'. The box is very cute too and there is no hustle to remove the doll from it. BUT!! To take the kerchief off the head is a pain! 4 tags that attach it To The Head! I could understand 1 tag or stitches holding jewellery in place on the clothes, but puncture the head (or have the tag coming out of the hair root) - that's too much, in my opinion. I managed not to snap any of the hair, but you will need 20 minutea or more of complete calm to do so. That, and very small sharp scissors.The underpants are those cheap nets they send out Paola Reina Amigas in when you buy them in a bag not boxes. The clothes are going to start fraying at the seams as those are not finished properly (what a shame for a doll coming with a certificate of authenticity). Compared to German doll manufacturers, these clothes are awful.A gorgeous doll at an affordable price (with a lovely set of stud earrings) at the time of writing. Can only recommend.
