I decided that I needed to renew my writing instruments but without breaking the bank. I bought Faber-Castell across the pens after buying this pen. It is easy to hold and use and feels good in the hand. I went on to buy the "sister" rollerball, propelling pencil and cartridge pen, based on the good experience of this. I have bought and used many brands of writing instruments and the F-B range represents excellent value for money. Would happily recommend the items and merchants.

I must confess that I'm a bit of a pen collector - I've got dozens of the things - and this is among my favourites. The tiny rubber studs provide excellent grip, while the press mechanism is firm but not stiff. It writes very well, but obviously you're choice of refills will affect that aspect in the future. If you don't like Faber's refill prices I suggest trying Schmidt; they are very similar quality for around half the price.

Pen was supposed to come with black ink as per description seems the cartridge was installed incorrectly as this has come with a blue cartridge built in.overall great pens and great quality pity about the wrong cartridge given I have the blue skinned version for blue cartridges and was planning a black case for the black cartridge hence the loss in stars.apologies for the grubby construction workers hands.

Great pen, even if I am having a problem with it, if anybody can help it would be great. I opened it to check the ink refill and i guess i moved something because now the point often goes back into the pen while i am writing, forcing me to press again on the top sometimes 3 times in a raw and it's getting really annoying.

The shape of the body and material used make for a ergonomically comfortable feel.Blank ink was required so I purchased the Faber Castell black refills. it worked well although Parker refills work with it too.

I love using these pens as they are well made, light weight and very comfortable to write with. I tend to put gels refills in them; they are in daily use but still look like new.

Lovely pen, only give it 4 stars as stated black ink, but was blue and cannot use at work. Had to swap the refill, hence only 3/stars for value.
