OK, genuine Epson cartridges do tend to look expensive when compared to third party compatibles; however I take a different view for two reasons:- when used with genuine Epson paper the results, especially with these wax based inks for full colour photos can only be described as being superb (I have used compatibles before and found the colours to be less than brilliant)- I have had to replace my printer several times due to clogged heads (a replacement printer is cheaper than a repair) and every single time it has been with compatible cartridges in place.Some people complain about the price of genuine cartridges and say that the printer manufacturers are "ripping us off"; but surely everyone

The product we purchased from Amazon was a replacement Epson Original Durabrite Fox T1281 Ink Cartridge - Black. We went for the original as we have read some less than complimentary reviews of the generic brands' offerings. The price on Amazon site was better than what we could find after shopping around.The color is good and dense as expected. I could not comment on how long it would last at this point of time.I gave four stars as whilst we are happy with the product itself, the delivery time was a cause for concern: it took 9 working days for the cartridge to arrive (to clarify: the product was sold by Amazon affiliate seller).

I have tried using Epson compatible inks as they are so much cheaper than originals. Well there's the clue - cheaper does not mean better. I wanted to print a design onto a t-shirt but the results with compatibles was poor and started to come away when washed. I went back to using originals and hey presto no problems. You can see the difference with printed photos too. So I've given up on compatibles - originals for me -they're the best option! Go on easy online purchasing and delivered to the door -easy peasy.

I haven't actually used the Epson Original Fox ink cartridge in black I purchased yet, but I always buy this particular one because I know I can rely on it. In fact my first printer stopped working because I used cheap ink, I won't make that mistake again. I would recommend this to all my friends. Delivery was great too, as it always is with Amazon, so I'm happy.

The product is fine, fit for purpose, however, the cost of postage was outrageous,for 6 items, all delivered in one envelope, I was charged 6 individual postage amounts, and in fact the postage amounted to more than the goods.So I cannot say I was satisfied, no in fact I feel I was rippedoff. I don't think I will be using Amazon in the near future.J A Haigh

The Plaster of Paris product was delivered before date and was used as expected with good results. The Cartridges were up to standard and delivered by expected date. One comment I have is the delivery charge which was very good with the first Item, but the Cartridges delivery charge was, in my opinion, very high for the weight.

I,m done with buying cheap so called value inks.you cant beat top quality original inks,even though they might be a little dearer in price. Quality doesn't come cheap,Pay that little bit extra for quality.always worth it in the long run.

After previously having tried alternative ink to makers brand, after having purchased a new printer, I have found that you only get what you pay for, the ink may be slightly dearer initially but it certainly lasts a lot longer.

I have in the past bought the full 4 cartridge set but found as doing very little printing that it was more economical to buy individual colours as they ran out. The price is good and this is a genuine Epson product.

It fits exactly and is genuine. Haven't had any difficulties with leakage or smudging although was a little difficult getting nozzles cleaned and aligned after first inserting. Could have been the paper though!

What can I say? This is exactly waht I need for my printer, which does not take kindly to "compatible" cartridges. As is always the case, printer inks are expensive, so I will look further afield next time.

i,m done with buying cheap so called better than the original inks.Half the time not the quality i want. false economy on cheap inks doesn't work out cheaper in the long run. genuine inks are for me now.

Read some review saying that they only got 50 pages out of a cartridge, but that seems strange since I managed to print off my entire dissertation(just under 100 pages) on one cartridge.

This product is well worth the money as if you purchase cheap ink it always blocks the nozzles. So buy the proper ink always like this one, and you have trouble free printing everytime.
