I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting sick and tired of ordering Epson ink on Amazon and getting loose, OEM cartridges that don't have the date of manufacture on them or come in the proper Epson packaging with the official hologram. Despite a picture of the said packaging on the Amazon page I ordered from. I know the sellers argue that it's essentially the same product, they buy it in bulk and pass on the savings to you, but I'd at least like that to be explained in the listing so I can make an informed decision as to whether the price saving is worth the risk of out-of-date, refilled, smaller capacity OEM cartridges or pirate goods. To be fair, each of the sellers have taken back the ink without any questions asked, but who needs the hassle of going down to the post office etc etc etc?So before I put this order in I emailed Caboodle, the company offering the best price, to check that their items were legit - proper Epson, in the proper packaging. They emailed me back almost instantly to say "As one of Epsons largest UK resellers we don't split packs, sell via Jersey to avoid VAT, replace orders for originals with remanufactured ink cartridges or any of the other various nefarious activities undertaken on-line. We sell genuine Espon in original packaging with long use by dates." Just what I wanted to hear!I put my order in, the inks arrived a few days later as advertised. I can't say how pleased I am.So, in summary, if you want the real thing, buy from Caboodle.(Sorry this is a review of the seller rather than the product. I figured if you're buying genuine Epson ink you know how good it is!)

...an ink cartridge, made by Epson, and much better value from Amazon.Seems like printer ink continues to be the most costly liquid known to humankind!(so I've heard). However, these are cheaper from Amazon than many of the copies are elsewhere, so thanks Amazon. Now if we could get Epson to squeeze a decent amount of ink into them, and say it's empty when it's empty, and not have an electronic strop when I dare to mix brands......all this of course is in my experience and not necessarily true for the rest of the world, don't want any lawyers knocking on the door, strange that all reputable companies that produce amazing, high quality, great value products need to spend their hard earned cash on legal teams...stop, you've gone too far... well it is 10 to 2 a.m. and I'm bored enough to write a review of an ink cartridge... enough, I'm off to bed, bye.

I've been printing my photography for over 50 years now. I currently use an Epson Stylus Photo 810. When I bought my first printer I was tempted into using 'replacement' cartridges, but I had endless problems with the print heads clogging, and lost a lot of spoiled prints, wasting both paper and ink. I also had to have two printers replaced because it was more economical to do that than repair them.So having learnt the hard way, I vowed to only use the Original Claria inks, which this is.The results? Amazing. I've now printed 190 A4 pages with not a single problem, using 3 complete sets of ink and another 9 black cartridges ( including creating a complete black and white portfolio of 50 plus photos). So don't be fooled by imitations, take my advice and use the proper stuff, it certainly pays off and is frustration free :-)

There are two good things going for this product. Firstly it is Original Epson Ink, which I always use for my fine art prints in my Epson printer, as the reproduction is faithful to my screen colours and consistent in performance. The second good thing about this product is it's price. I often have to buy single inks as I use up certain colours more frequently than others. These are by far the cheapest Light Magenta and Light Cyan that I have found - by a good three of four pounds. The only reason I have not given this product 5 stars is that there was a slight delay in delivery - but that may have been due to ordering over the Christmas period - as well as to the snow! - also as yet I haven't finished using it,but so far it delivers what I would expect of a Epson original ink in it's original box.

We've tried third party inks to save money but it only resulted in our earlier printer getting an early demise. So although the originals are much more expensive, sadly, they work as they should. The copies are better anyway....lesson go for the official ones.I only wish Epson, and others, would lower their prices a bit. I realise with the computer style markings on the side they cost more (it tells the printer when the inks are low etc, etc) however I do feel lowering them a bit wouldn't hurt i'm sure the printer companies could shave a bit off. We normally buy the multi packs as they are better value but black is the one that gets used the most for obvious reasons hence this single black cartridge,it's also a captured market I suppose.

Yes Epson inks are expensive, there is no getting away from that. But they always work well. My advice would be always buy the genuine items, and always buy from Amazon. If a seller is offering the same thing at a much cheaper price, well the chances are it won't be the same thing, but a clone, or maybe as many reviewers report, a genuine epson but much smaller (less ink) cartridge that is normally only supplied in the box with new printers. I normally buy the T0807 multi pack, but occasionally need to top up with individual cartridges as some get used more than others. I ordered this from Amazon, and it is the expected genuine item as pictured.

I stick to Epson ink for my Stylus Photo R265 inkjet printer because of the known quality. It is ridiculously expensive but produces spectacularly good photos. This one was priced a few pounds less than I normally pay so I jumped at it. I've used compatible inks in previous Epson photo printers and the quality seemed fine, although the prints may or may not fade faster. The problem with compatibles is that you have to replace all the cartridges at the same time (I presume) to avoid mixing different types of ink and this usually means ditching some original cartridges that are nearly full.

The saying goes......You get what you pay for!If you, like me, have an expensive Epson printer, with 6 ink tanks you want to look after it don’t you? You would not drop it on the floor, would you? So why oh why do people insist on buying CHEAP, POOR QUALITY compatible ink even though it’s a lot cheaper?Look at how many complaints and moans are on this page to confirm my point! Epson printers will last years, as long as you look after them, you would not put red fuel in your nice car, so put you hand in your wallet and buy only original cartridges!!!!

Amazon asked me to review the Epson ink I purchased, so here goes.It comes in a handy container, stopping it running out of the envelope it was sent in, and which handily fits in the space on my printer, which could have been designed for just such a container. However, when I next used the printer, a trail of black marks was made on the paper, which on closer study, took on the appearance of letters, actually forming words. I have no reasonable explanation for this occurrence, nor for being asked to review such a mundane product.

I've tried many different makes of print cartridges in the two Epson printers I have owned, sometimes they seemed to work OK and sometimes they didn't. Often I ended up cleaning the print heads so much to get them to print properly that most of the ink in the cartridge was used up, negating any cost saving at the time of purchase. In my opinion, if you want your Epson printer to work properly all of the time, use only genuine Epson ink cartridges. Why only 4 stars? They are still too expensive and don't last long enough.

The print quality can be varied depending on paper quality. The best quality glossy paper + quality print settings give absolutely stunning results which, for selected subjects, should give a lifetime of pleasure, but do balance quantity with quality if you are on a tight budget. It's a pity bulk buying is not encouraged, I'm sure more ink would flow in my direction. Each container is dated and possibly cheaper batches have older dates.

Well, it's expensive but it works. And it works very well. In the past with other printers I have used non-original ink cartridges. Sometimes these have been OK; sometimes not. Now I am using the "official" cartridges; that means more money, but they do seem to work better. And in the end, I don't want to struggle with streaky prints, ink dropouts, blotches and other print failures. So, I've given this product a 4-star rating

I've stuck with Epsons own inks for years now. I used to use compatible inks years ago until I realized that all the trouble I used to get with lines all over my print, was down to the inks drying up. and not the printer itself. I sometimes don't use my printer for weeks but the ink always works perfectly, no lines, no clogging up. My printer is nearly 6 years old now and still working perfectly with no clogged up jets.

I give this five stars, but I should give it one. Since when can something like this cost so much money. It's ink. I mean, just a few short years ago, humankind was just squishing berries and boiling seeds to make dyes. Then someone invented ink and just the monks and stuff got to use it. And here we are today. Paying through the nose for a light magenta ink cartridge for a printer. Sigh.

I gave up using refilled cartridges long ago as they have given me nothing but trouble. So now it's just a question of getting the genuine article at the best price. This was a very good price and I can confirm that they are original Epson cartridges. My Epson printer requires 6 cartidges and I have to say the genuine ones don't last that long but they don't give me any trouble.
