How can you go about reviewing a set of printing inks? They either work or they don't, so its all really down to cost and quality. Most Epson products are pretty good, but in spite of regular maintenance, of the four printers I've owned in the XP 500 Series, each failed well within their guarantee period and all with the same flaw -- a reservoir pad that needed replacing -- usually at about £57, which is nearly as much as the cost than a complete new unit. Is that the life they are designed to have, I wonder? Bin it and get a new one , and with any of those comes a set of 'free' set up inks, albeit each with a special lowered capacity, so they run out in a week or so and you need to tin out yet again!

Is it down to the printer or the ink? 64,000 dollar question I know. I've recently bought an Epson XP-7100 and I'm very pleased with the results. I make my own cd compilations and do all the artwork with MS Publisher. The results when I've printed off the booklet, label & tray liner are very good indeed. So, I'm a happy bunny.

Product excellent - gives a really clear and crisp image for photographs and also very good for documents. Worth the high price.Packaging was very good - minimum for recycling but did the job well.

Bought this same time as printer knowing only a small supply of ink comes with printer. Good quality ink but have since discovered it's cheaper to buy them individually rather than as a multi pack.

Original Epson Inks in a more (but not totally) green packaging. Good price too.
