I own quite a few toy grade drones/quadcopters, this one stands out and is really good for the price. Especially when Ryze have built in DJI features into it and it has an Intel processor as well as optical sensing. This means the drone hovers in place without hardly moving and can be flown indoors which is amazing at this price point I have no idea how it can be that stable with no GPS! Amazing! Also takes great selfies! This does not come with a controller as this is controlled via your smartphone (Bluetooth controllers are available) this is one of the few drones that you can fly on your smart phone so no controller necessary. Has different flight modes as well, and to top all that off it can be programmed as well. The only downside is flies for about 10-13 minutes and the battery takes 90 mins to charge. So I would recommend purchasing another battery. Also it will fly outside but make sure it is a still day with no wind! All in all really nice package.

Easy to set up, flies through mobile phone screen, but you can use a remote control which holds the phone. The one thing I would recommend is updating the software on the drone as soon as possible, as I think that's where I went wrong. The drone charged fully, then flew around until the battery drained. When I tried to recharge it, it simply went dead. I looked on the Internet and I wasn't alone. Other users recommended the software update, which seems relatively easy to do. I just didn't. So, all in all its a great little drone as a first buy, is quite resilient, and comes with 4 extra rotors, and a tool to remove them. Brilliant at the price, although I suspect it won't like the great outdoors if the wind is above 5mph.I'd recommend it as a first drone. And it's easy to fly.

A fun drone for adults and older kids (and younger kids with supervision). Nice features and tricks which are courtesy of Mavic who partnered on this project.Fly indoors (with caution) and outside if the wind is light. Camera is 720p which is far better than other level entry devices. The phone app is easy to connect to the drone (which creates a wifi hot spot) and has features of Mavic's bigger brothers.Very light weigh so as of 2019 it doesn't require any registration but you must still adhere to general drone laws. In a nut shell, great value, great fun and easy to fly.

I bought this for my 8 year olds Christmas but couldn’t resist testing it out myself. The fact that’s it’s been created along with DJI (the drone experts) meant it had my confidence from the start, but what a fantastic little thing it is! Controlled via your phone using an app, it’s responsive and the streaming quality is impressive for such a little unit. I haven’t fully played with all the features but I understand you can code it to do different manoeuvres. I love the educational side of this, although my son will always be supervised using it. I can see me buying one for myself!

If your a beginner it’s a great starting drone, works a treat with my PlayStation controller to fly it and has loads of features on the app. This is my first drone but I do have 2 large r/c helicopters so I’m not quite new to flying.Camera is great for a little drone and quality is pretty good. The flight time you see people moaning in reviews for these but this is a tiny drone and 10mins is a great time for flight, doesn’t take too long to charge either. I’ve had small heli’s before similar size and you were lucky to get 5mins flight time out of them. All round a great purchase

Take a while to charge and play for 5 or few minutes with. Never rich 10 min fly because sometimes just fall down suddenly. Most of the times I need to recharge, and sometimes connection to mine and others members of my family all androids phones take long time to connect. My friend on iPhone work much better.Camera take nice pictures in the day light. For the price I paid I think is ok as at the moment that's the cheapest drone in local shops and much better than the ones you can buy online.

This is a lovely little drone and fun to fly. I've given it 5 stars for everything . . . because it deserves them. This is really an indoor drone, it's really easy to control while it's flying.Battery life is around 7 to 9 minutes , which is excellent for a drone this size, especially when it has so many sensors and a camera to run as well.I have flown mine outdoors ( with little wind ) and these things can move fast. Anyone looking to own a drone should think about getting one of these.

Ive had several of the larger more expensive drones but this little drone is probably more fun.Small but very capable, it takes great pictures and video and really easy to fly. It has altitude hold so with a press of a button on the free app, the drone takes off to about 4 feet and just sits there awaiting your next command. Many different fun flight modes on the app too or just fly to your hearts content. Battery lasts around 13 mins but its not expensive to buy extras.I highly recommend .

Most budget drones lack any sort of positioning. This has both altitude hold (IR) and visual positioning. The only usable camera is the front facing one, which could do with being angled down a bit more. The video is not great as it records direct to your device and drop outs cause for poor playback. However for photos the 5mp camera is ok. The coding feature still needs development, although droneblocks (for iOS) is better than scratch or the android version. Battery is ok, but slow to charge.

This is the best drone in this price range. Very good quality & amazingly stable. It’s automated positioning system really makes it a joy to fly, even our 4 year old can control it! So far it has survived all crashes very well. It flies well outdoors also, if the wind is low. Flying time is ok (comparatively very good), but more batteries & external charger will be needed to extend playing time. All-in this is a really good value drone & is highly recommended for first time flyers and/or kids.

This is hands down the best budget drone. I’ve had a few more expensive drones but this DJI/Intel powered drone from Ryze is a fantastic purchase for those looking to get into droning at a lower entry point and for those looking for decent pictures for social media. The drone does have its limitations. Mainly height & overall image sharpness.Because of it’s size you’ll need to use in the best flying conditions if you plan on taking the drone outside but I can’t recommend this product enough.

I wanted to get into flying and after considering drones, decided on the Ryze Tello. I wanted to practice flying without worrying about losing a really expensive piece of kit.I’m really pleased with the Tello. It’s very small so can be taken anywhere easily and is a doddle to fly. You do have to be careful of winds though because it’s so light, the slightest gust of wind can carry it. Not a problem in a wide open space but get too close to a tree and you may find yourself having to climb.

This might be in the toy drone category, but it ain’t no toy. The camera is fine and gives a really good idea of what drones are capable of. It can be flown inside with care, outside wind will seriously affect flight to the point of impossibility. Extra batteries (sold separately) is an absolute MUST. A Bluetooth controller, while not necessary, significantly improves flight controls. All in all a perfect drone for beginners. Both my 8yo daughter and myself are having a blast.

You won't be sorry ,buying the tello , it is such a great drone , tello hovers ,in one spot using sensors which allows you to move the controlls slowly and get used to them as you learn to fly the drone ,Which is needed for first time flyers , as other drones will need constant calibration .Tello has fast and slow mode so you can start off slow and learn at your own pace , then when more confident fly on fast mode .There is lots more too , so buy tello , you won't be sorry ,it is great .

Good little drone. perfect for putting in a rucksack when out walking or mountain biking just send it up and get some good pictures and videosFootage is of good quality (not amazing but good enough!) does get a bit choppy if you send the drone too far away but this can be cheaply Improved with a WiFi range extender.Would certainly recommend buying some extra accessories.. get two batteries, a case and a Bluetooth gaming controller and you have a great inexpensive set up for a day out
