This pepper mill is something of pure beauty, my boss got me to order one of these, we wanted a quality pepper mill, we were not disappointed. This pepper mill gets used everyday for accumulated about 1-2 hours of continuous use every day and it shows no sign of stopping; the mechanism is a marvel, flawless and prestige providing perfectly ground up pepper or even chunkier pepper, dependent on how tight you have the nib at the top.We were so happy with the build quality, price and how well it grinds up pepper compared to the pepper mills we used to use, because of this, we ended up ordering another so we could get rid of our other inferior pepper mills.

I have had several Cole & Mason grinders before and always been pleased. This is no different. The wood is dark and well stained, matches the pepper grinder, it's easily opened and refilled. The grind is very good, turning one way gives a very fine grind, the other way a coarser grind (which I prefer). The Cole & Mason labeling also looks nice.Pros+ Looks good - nice wood, well stained, attractive labeling+ Colour matched pepper grinder+ Coarse grind turning one way, fine grind the other wayCons- Slightly expensive; but worth it!

Even though I paid the extra postage to Sicily, this pepper grinder is absolutely top of the line and is very well made. Reminiscent of the sturdiness of ones produced in the mid 1980s. It isn't the cheapest out there but it's worth the extra, Avoid the solid plastic grinders which have plastic components in the grinding mechanism. Friction will destroy them faster than you realize, as they did with my previous grinder, which wasn't cheap and fell apart quickly. So 10/10 for this one which I hope will see me out.

This pepper mill is fantastic! I thought it may be too tall at first but it isn't actually when you see it in real life. The wood finish is really smooth and a lovely warm colour, not too dark. The grinding mechanism is very smooth and it also comes with a lifetime guarantee which is reassuring. The ground pepper does come out in larger pieces than I have experienced from other smaller pepper mills but I think if you are having black pepper 'HAVE' black pepper!! I would recommend this pepper mill!!

Well made, nice size, gorgeous colour, looks fantastic, and the grinder is superb quality as is to be expected of all Cole & Mason mills. Recipient (my other half) is delighted to have a mill that actually grinds pepper! Reasonable price too. Only slight downside is that it only holds about 35g of peppercorns, so capacity not that great, but Cole & Mason have a big selection of larger mills so that is being overly-pedantic as this is a superb product.

Excellent product. I purchased a pepper mill and salt mill at the same time in the same basket. They were not an identical pair an Amazon were absolutely pathetic and only advised me to contact Cole & Mason who were fantastic and sorted out the problem immediately. I have learnt the lesson, buy from Cole & Mason they are the same price and let Amazon do what their good at, selling books!!!!!!

Bought this to replace an ancient pepper mill that didn't grind properly any more. This is actually the same make as my old one, but the grinding mechanism must have been redesigned because it is far superior to the other one. One turn produces an impressive flow of pepper. It feels good in your hand and makes a very satisfying sound. An excellent purchase.

This product is high quality and therefore good money for value. It is a good shape for the hand. The fact that it is made out of wood avoid the slippery effect. The mill in metal is really good, not gripping, nice fine result. It can contain quite a lot of pepper as well, which is nice not to have to refill that often. I highly recommand this product.

Quality product with a metal mechanism, no plastic to break which had been the problem with my previous peppermills. One personal niggle is that the grind is quite fine so if you like chunky peppercorn lumps this may not be for you. Overall an very good product, very well turned wood body & it looks like it'll last for years.

We love freshly ground pepper in our house and because of that, we seem to get through pepper mills. When I saw this one with its lifetime guarantee, I decided it was time to spend slightly more and buy something of sound quality. It's a lovely mill, does what it needs to do and with its dark colour, looks fab.

This is certainly the best pepper mill I have ever used. Looks good, feels good and works very well. I use it every day, no signs of wear. Smooth action, delivers a lot of pepper with each twist, very robust. I'm very pleased I bought it.Precision quality hardened carbon steel mechanism

This pepper mill, as well as the matching salt mill, are beautifully made and lovely to use. So nice that I have ordered an extra set for my mum, so that she can enjoy them too. This model is also the perfect size for the cupboard.

Item arrived very quickly - an easy transaction.The salt mill is better than expected and grinds my Himalayan salt crystals to a much more useable size for most of my cooking and baking needs. Good old Cole & Mason !!
