If you have palyed and enjoyed Championship manager, whenit was made by si games and eidos DO NOT BUY THIS... i was looking forward to this because owning an xbox the last version which was available was a couple of years ago and it needed updateing so along came CM5 yippee i whent and bought it loaded it up and started to play WHAT A LET DOWN i tried to get in to it i gave it couple of days play but still wanted the refined feel of the old version...this game is to clumsy in all aspects especially the 2d game. I have sold this game back to the shop (making a big loss) and instead upgraded my PC and gone out and bought sigames/segas FOTBALL MANAGER the real McCoy...

This is the first football manager game I have bought for a console and the chances are that it could be the last. Compared with the old PC games, the scrolling between screens is very sluggish and laboured, and seems to take some time to master. Time which I, and friends who have bought the game, haven't been willing to invest. The screens seem to be crowded, and it isn't obvious where abouts you are on them. I'm trying to think of something good to say about this game but to be honest, nothing is coming to mind. After two days I took it back and swapped it for Tiger Woods 06, now that's a game!!

Anyone considering buying this game should realise that it is not the old Championship Manager that we all know and love. If you want the latest version on the classic CM game you need to buy FOOTBALL MANAGER which is published by Sega. The confusion comes about because the team that created CM split from Edios and while Edios kept the Championship Manager name as part of the deal the team took the game itself with them to Sega

If the xbox version of this game is anything like the pc version then it will be rubbish! add the fact that the previous attempts to put a better pc version of champ man onto a console didnt even work then you have the makings of worst football sim ever!defo recomend Football manager 2005 for the pc, but think the current champ man creators are having a giraffe!
