Apart from cider this is my only alcoholic tipple and I'm devoted to it. It is an aperitif, not quite as sweet as a red Martini, having a herby taste and hint of bitters in the background. Everyone I've introduced to it has enjoyed and the only problem is tracking it down.Oddbins stopped stocking it about 3 years ago and few of the high st chains have heard of it. It is worth the effort searching and I was happy to find it sourced on Amazon, having finished my last bottle at the start of the year. This really is an excellent aperitif, try it!

I bought this based on the reviews as i'm a bit of a Negroni fan. A lot of people said this makes the best Negroni and i'm still on the fence. If you look into the name of the drink, it literally means 'point and a half'. It's basically a mix of sweet and bitter, which is traditionally where the Campari would come in. It makes a decent Negroni but I definitely think there are better bottles out there for the purpose. Neat vermouth isn't for me so wouldn't like to comment on how it tastes by itself.

Have bought this as one of 3 different types of red vermouth to replace red martini for a negroni. It provides a slightly more bitter taste in comparison to to others, nothing major, and is exceptional.I like the sweeter vermouths in a negroni and I also like this one as it provides a real contrast. It's also relatively cheap so well worth a try.

I buy this for my wife. For years she's been a fan of vermouths such as Martini. However, she's now been converted to Punt E Mes. Usually she will have just one drink before dinner but, having had her first glass of Punt E Mes, she said she would have another. Must be good. Drink it with a little ice, a slice of orange and just a splash of soda.

When you can get this on offer, get it. I discovered it by accident. It is THE best vernouth out there. This makes the king of negronis, sure, but unlike other vermouths, you can enjoy this one neat too. It's not too cloying, it's not too sweet, it's got an adult bitterness. Just sublime stuff, and I'd never heard of it.

Great stuff, dark, pungent, and not too sweet - my favourite vermouth for a negroni, even more so than the differently wonderful Cocchi (and a fair bit cheaper). I hate the tax avoiding bastards who run amazon, but I can’t deny that it’s a wonderful thing to have stuff like this easily available with NDD...

When a fine vermouth and the perfect amount of antica, came together, after a hard day at the office, they melted the world away. So legend has it. After I discovered this, and trying other vermouths, but nothing comes close. Straight, Negroni, Manhattan, Vesper. This is king. There is no equal.

my father used to drink vermouth in the late seventies,so this was truly a blast from the past for him and gave him a lot of amusement,he enjoyed the taste and the memories it brought back ,his birthday went with a swing ,delivery perfect and on time for his birthday.

An old drink. Punt e Mes means one and half points. The story goes of a merchant who, after a bad day, asked for one and half drops of bitters in his drink. This is, of course, impossible and caused laughter and the drink evolved from there. It's a story.

Not too sweet, and easily the best of the "commercial" vermouths. A few ice cubes, slice of orange, or lemon - some high quality olives to nibble on , and you can pretend you are back in Italy having an aperitif.

I bought this to make my Tuscan sangria authentic, and it did. Tastes great into the bargain. Could not get this in my local area, or from local supermarkets that's why I ordered this online.

Delivery was excellently timed, and the product is as advertised. This is a most efficient way of procuring a difficult to find bottle of alcohol. The recipient of the gift was most pleased.

A halfway house between a sweet vermouth and an amaro and the best of both worlds. Fantastic stuff. It compliments and balances with the sweetness of aged spirits exceptionally well.

For some reason this is hard to find - even in high end wine shops. Great with lots of ice - either on its own or with tonic/slice of orange/lemon. Totally more-ish - beware.
