This is a great lens for the price. The IS is consistent and allows you to stop down a couple of times in many situations. It's widest aperture of f4 produces pleasing subject isolation and bokeh on full frame, but operates best and sharpest at f8 for me. The true strength here is the wide focal length range which means you rarely need to change lens in many situations. The AF is fast and accurate - but you need to know the strengths and weaknesses of the camera AF system to get the most out of it - check your manual, as certain AF features may not work as expected (eg. the lens is a 'group C' on usable AF points on the 5Dmk4, which doesn't include the dual cross type AF point.)On full frame there is a little bit of barrel distortion at 24mm,

Having had the original EF 24-105mm F4L lens for many years, it wasn’t my intention to upgrade but I’m so glad I did. The Mark ll version handles so much better, has better and quieter IS, is a bit sharper in the corners and is also a little better at dealing with barrel distortion. Although it has to be said the centre sharpness is no different from the older lens. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase, the old lens was great but this is fantastic!

Very impressed. I've used the 18-135mm STM lens for my 70D for the past couple of years and the results have been pretty good, but this is an L lens and the difference is clear. Superlative sharpness, and if photographing in RAW with a bit of post-processing, the results can be outstanding and professional. Although best on a full frame camera like a 5D, I've been quite happy with the focal lengths it on my crop-sensor 70D.

Upgraded from the previous version, seems slightly larger, feels very sturdy and sports a new Lock switch. The only criticism with the Mk I was the lens creep, extending when attached to the camera body suspended from a shoulder strap. Not a problem with the Mk II, flip the switch and its fixed!As usual, very rapid delivery from Amazon, arrived next day, great service.

If you want to shoot at 24,35,50,85 and 105 and have sharp images handheld at a 15th of a second then this is a great lens. Admittedly and according Rudy Winston from Canon this lens was designed for the huge sensor cameras such as the 5DS / R. I have the 5DS and am very happy with this lens when mounted on it.

I never bought this lens from Amazon mines came from Hong Kong cost £640 brand new. This is my first lens which I bought with a canon 80D. And I must admit it is brilliant piece of lens and the autofocus are all top a great lens. The lens are really heavy but quality made a must have!!

This lens is just perfect for my Canon EOS 5D Mkiv, the focus is extremely fast and the clarity is pin sharp, very happy with it and probably one of the only lenses you need. Came with the lens hood and Canon lens bag. Great value.

I bought this to replace the MK1 Lens. Which was a great lens, but unfortunately suffered from lens creep whilst walking arround. Glad to see the MK2 has a barrell lock which is a major improvement.

This lens is super sharp and lives on my camera 90% of the time. Brilliant for travelling light with my full frame Canon 6D. If there was one lens I could not do without then this would be it.

Had a chance now to try in various scenarios, very impressed with low light performance - even hand held. All the usual good vibes from a quality Canon lens

Only had this lens a couple of days but so far I have found it an excellent lens. The way it has performed the few times I have used it has been brilliant.

This was for general studio use, pack shots, poroducts etc. Does exactly hwta it says on the tin. Barrels a bit at 24mm but Lightroom profile sorts this.

I bought this lens EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS II USM to go with my Canon EOS 6D MkII and have been very happy with the pictures taken with it.
