I bought these inks for my Canon MG5250 printer because as usual Amazon was the cheapest. The ink arrived promptly, perfectly packaged in it's sealed outer packaging and cellophane wrap and as usual no problems. As another reviewer has written, I am no expert on inks etc just a normal home user who prints a stupid amount of pictures of their child so keeps running out of ink! I do agree that they are a little pricey but I had a Kodak printer before this one that ended up costing even more to run on one ink cartridge at a time than the five that the MG5250 takes as every time you turned it on it would do a run (don't know the technical name for it) and use up ink even when you weren't printing but were scanning.I have been very sad and sat down and kept a tally of how many prints I have gotten out of the Canon as opposed to the Kodak before having to change the ink cartridge and the Canon one has still come out cheaper despite five ink cartridges. I would definitely recommend the Canon MG5250.

Having had a variety of printers of various types and makes over the years (I was a professional photographer) and also having tried the refillable kits (got more ink on my hands !) and 3rd part offerings (which generally produced poor colour on prints) I quickly came to the conclusion that the original Canon Inks were the way to go.I do realise that they are VERY expensive and can't argue with that, but having to in the end re-do poor prints and having to buy Canon cartridges in the end anyway, what is the point of messing about with any other types ?They give consistent results, don't leak ink all over the place (I had a 3rd party one leak in my printer which made a really bad mess, which took hours to clean) and I can honestly say I have NEVER had a problem with these cartridges. The saying "You get what you pay for" certainly applied to ink cartridges, and despite the cost I know what I will always buy !

I found this fitted well into my printer which was as expected as my printer is designed to accept this ink cartridge. The colour of the ink was found to be black which was a relief as this was the colour described on the box and it would have been a disaster if all my black printing had come out in yellow or even worse green. The ink certainly appeared inky on the page which is really how a good ink should look. If it looked like paint or cloth this product would have been no good at all. As it is this proved to be exactly what I needed to print black ink onto paper from my Canon ink delivery device. Brilliant item that I will certainly buy again.I hope this information will help others in the crucial ink buying process when their own ink supplies begin to dwindle. Buy with confidence and do not panic.

and both times I've ordered it, it has come in a box. Even if it hasn't come in a box (as my coloured inks have arrived without a box through another seller), the simple fact that they are clearly labelled & engraved with the Canon labels should tell you that it's genuine - these cartridges are not yet refillable or duplicable as I've found out from the Cartridge World where I have bought my inks for the past 3 years.Plus, I think that it's better no box has been provided - has the previous reviewer ever given thought to the fact that maybe, just maybe this seller may actually have bought wholesale from Canon, who has actually provided them without boxes? Much better for the environment too!Anyways, thanks for the top notch ink cartridges at a very good price - much appreciated! :-)

I was going to buy this cartridge some months ago but was put off by the negative review, but later thought I'd give it a go. I'm glad I did, because what arrived was a genuine Canon ink cartridge, all sealed up in plastic as are the originals which you'd buy in the shops. The only thing missing was a box. But if you're reading this thinking well it must be dodgy because it doesn't come in a box then just go to the shops and you'll get exactly the same cartridge but for an extra £4 you'll get a nice box which you can put in your cardboard recycling! With everything so expensive these days this ia a good saving and I'll certainly be using them all the time from now on.

The Canon CL1 526BK ink delivery time was excellent, The downside is this. I bought my last one on the 15th January at a price of £6-19p. yesterday I went to order another one and the price had gone up to £9-36p.. That is an increase of £3-17p. How on earth can you justify an increase like that??? Also the Canon 525 BK has gone from £6-79p up to £10-49. An increase of £3-70p. They are good inks but the price is certainly getting out of control. I am afraid i am having to look into the price of these inks further. I understand people now buying Compatable inks, and I think that is going to be the answer. Please can you reply to this comment.A.J.BROWN.

This product does what it says on the tin, excellent. However, as we all know, the quantity of ink is reduce for the same money. The Selling of printers at low a prices, ensnares the captive market. However, the sucker punch comes when you have to purchase ink. Now that companies have you custom, that start to mess about with ink levels. Is this good marketing on their part? I say no, especially those of us who print our own photographs, it works out far cheaper to have them printed by companies who specialise it field. They offer some great rates.Amazon have over the years, offered their customer great prices, at time some super reductions.

I always run an inkjet and a laser printer photo's scanning etc vs plain text quality / cost means you need both. Over the years I've used and owned various printers ink jets and lasers from Canon, HP, Epson, Lexmark and Xerox. I'm currently using the Canon Pixma 8150 as my inkjet. For me it's main purpose is a photo printer and negative scanner. It gobbles the grey ink with alacrity but it's the grey that gives the photo prints the great tonal variation. It's one of those cost vs quality calls. Yes having the grey in the colour arsenal is an extra cost but boy does it improve the final image quality.

Great quality (genuine) product and at a good price. I try and always go for genuine compatible products simply because you know what you are getting is going to the job properly. I have tried cheaper alternatives in the past which sometimes end up being false economy. If they are an extremely good price and work well than ok, but if they run out more quickly and you end up buying another one as cheaply then ok, but what is the point of that?! Very pleased with product.

Good quality cartridges for your Canon printer, easy to install and remove the packaging from the cartridges. As the saying goes, with these newer printers you end up paying more for the inks than the printer themselves and that’s definitely the case with these. They’re quite expensive! Also you get a "low ink warning" long before they actually run out! Also one other little niggle with these is the amount of plastic used to wrap these up, it’s really overkill!

Good price and delivery. I read a review how someone who had purchased the same Canon Printer as I was considering felt let down for not getting this with it and spoilt his day. He claimed not to be able to use it till he got it, put grey into printer help search it thinks your depressed. I am sure this product will be fine once I find what I have it for and I have it when I do, "Just don't tell the wife it may not be needed" check things out first for yourself.

In this life you cannot have everything as the saying goes. This especially applies to canon ink cartridges. The printer and Canon ink combination produces brilliant pictures that will survive the years on display. However you have to pay through the nose and watch as the ink disappears apparently into nowhere. The only advice I can give is keep your printer powered on all the time - it seems to reduce the amount of print-head cleaning = reduces ink wastage.

Always use original inks for your printer. 'Compatible' inks have a reputation for blocking the jets and usually are not 'chipped', i.e. your printer may not correctly read the remaining ink level if at all. Canon ink for Canon printers is what you need although they are expensive. It appears that printers are cheap but the manufacturer makes money on the consumables, i.e. the ink cartridges, but we just have to live with that.

Haven't used it yet, I'm figuring it'll work fine (I have always been pleased with Canon ink results) if it doesn't I'll amend this review. However, it arrived loose in an envelope. Nothing in description stated this would be so and I expected it to be 'as new' in a package. If seller saves money this way, the savings on postage should be reflected in the price. I am subtracting a star for this reason.

It does what it says on the tin. No problems at all with it in my aging Canon MG5250.It's not the cheapest ink, but I trust it and it's never let me down. It would be nice to be able to visually see inside the cartridge to see how much is left though, rather than solely relying on the software to keep track of usage.I've ordered it a few times and it always arrives well packaged.
