Needed a printer for very occasional use, but remember the bad experience of my previous inkjet printers..Cartridges drying out inbetween uses, ink running out at vast expense after no time at all really put me off getting another.. until I heard of laser printers...Having a nose on Amazon, expecting to pay well for losing these inkjet hassles, I came across two Brother laser printers at under £70. This included the first toner laser cartridge (basically ink, but in dry powder form that doesnt dry out or clog) which work for up to 1000 full page prints with the starter cartridge, but offer 5000 with cartridge replacements!Supplied inkjet starter cartridges running out after a week or so,

So I must have researched printers for two days! I kept going back and forth between this and the Samsung: but it had so many issues with wireless set up. So in the end I decided on the Brother Printer, I wanted something to do quick prints for my Amazon returns and for my applications(black and white) no fuss.. The set-up was unbleivablel, literally took 3 minutes. I have a MacBook Pro, which no longer has a CD drive so I downloaded from the Brother website which was provided on the CD and searched my exact printer: HL 1212W and dowloaded the full packaged. A few minutes later I was up and running! I am over the moon, the printer arrived one day later but sat in my living room for 3 days because I was not looking forward to an hour long set up or more,

Came fitted with 3 pin uk plug. Set up was straightforward - just followed the "quick setup" sheet, using a usb lead (not supplied) for the initial connection. Driver and software download was straightforward from the Brother website. Connected wirelessly to Windows 10 laptop, and after downloading the Brother print app, connects wirelessly to iPhone 5s. Print quality is clear. Printing speed is good and the printer isn't intrusively noisy. The first sheet of paper through the printer emitted a fair bit of steam, but none since that first sheet.All in all, (if it lasts) this is a good printer for the price.

I am very happy with my new printer. The WiFi works well printing from another room and also from my mobile phone and the quality of the print is really good. Those are the main things I was really looking for.The installation was straight forward although I got an error message and had to phone the Brother helpline which were very efficient and sorted it out in a couple of minutes.I would have liked it to be a bit cheaper but one bonus is that I will not have to keep buying expensive ink cartridges that dry up if not used regularly as happens with my other printer.

Only had it a week so cannot comment on longevity yet, first impressions are very good, easily linked to all machines capable of sending wirelessly to printer, connected and work fine, quality and speed good. Cost per page very good compared to existing ink jets, although I kept them for the very occasional Colour print when required. Attracted by 3 year warranty, and the 5 toner cartridges supplied each one should give minimum 1000 pages, for family use should last for-ever. So far happy bunny

I mainly used this for wireless / wifi printing so that i could send documents or images to print from my phone. This was so fast and easy. Setup isn't too complicated, just follow the easy to use instructions and connect to Wifi. Print quality is really good and it is really fast at printing. 5 ink cartridges are supplied which is so handy. Once you are using a good quality paper the printing is v impressive. Its not too bulky or noisy, and sits perfectly in the corner of our office.

This all in 1 printer is really good it looks small , compact and stylish .it is smaller then my old printer it's good value and there are ink cartridges included .I would say it's more for maybe adult use because its black and white print .as my old printer is colour with having kids printing and copying stuff that's in colour my old printer is more useful to them however as my elder daughter does lots of printing and copying and this is really useful for her.

A small stylish, easy to use printer, connection is quick & simple, although a Printer USB cable does help with installation (not provided).It comes with 5 ink carts, printing is quick & quiet.Print quality is good, but the printer does stretch the paper slightly when using cheap paper.A great little printer, which I like a lot, if you do a lot of black & white printing I’d definitely highly recommend it, the very healthy warranty also helps.

Compact black and white printer that was easy to set up using the enclosed cd and usb cable (not included), the manual does state that you can set it up without a cable though. I downloaded the app for my phone and tablet and the set up process was quick and easy. I don't think the printer is overly quiet but that doesn't bother me. It comes with 5 ink cartridges that Brother states will last for 3 years, and a 3 year warranty, perfect!

Really great value package laser mono printer with 3 years warranty plus 5 brother branded toners which should get you around 5000 pages on top of that you get £30 cash back (promo code was not in box just ring Brother help line for promo code) I have been using printer for around a week with no problems and very pleased with print quality well done Brother had Argos deliver with no problems just cant wait until actual Argos opens again

This is an amazing printer and well worth the price tag. Quality, value, performance and looks are top notch for a black and white.I brought this the day my other printer went down and couldn't be fixed. Black and white as I use for work. It came in a bundle with 3 years worth of toners, whats there to resist?I'd highly recommend this Brother Printer, by far works better than others I have had.

Bought to help print my daughters school work out and will come in handy for lots of other things. Extra toners are brilliant too. I’ve printed so much out of the first toner and it’s still going. So easy and simple to set up also. Still trying to figure a few things out but really pleased with this. Plus it’s smaller than our other printer and smart looking too.

I found the printer easy to use and set up. I have a Windows tablet, Windows phone, an ipad and an Android phone and it prints without problem from any of them. The same goes for my family's laptops and computers. The only reason it only has 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had to go and buy a shoku adapter as mine didn't have a UK plug and the cable is fixed.

Bought this as my old printer just stopped working and needed another printer very quickly which wasn’t very easy due to lockdown! Argos came up trumps! Very pleased with it! It’s a little slow to wake up the printer but prints very quickly! The best printer I have had to set-up, it was so easy and straightforward especially as I am no technophobe!

Yet again a winner from Brother.My FOURTH printer from them over last 13 years.Simple to setup, quiet, great print quality.Plus 3 years warranty and printing (cartridges) to boot.- shame no paper included :) :)And yet again another Cashback offer.- ok that pays for the paper :) :)Brother Oh Brother how do thy do it :)
