My wife and I wanted to buy our son the official Thomas (Learning Curve) shed for his third birthday but as the cost was approximately £70 it was not a justafiable purchase. I spent a lot of time online and in various toyshops looking for the best price and/or a suitable alternative before finding this model.to our son, this is great. He doesnt know it's not branded with "Thomas" and it performs the same function of allowing him to play with his set and alternate trains. He loves putting them "to bed" in the evening and the shed itself is always the base by which we make the track (all roads lead to the shed, so to speak). I do think that, to look at at least, the official shed more looks the part, but at almost a third of the cost, and fully useable with the wooden Learning Curve track and trains, this offers excellent value for money.Sopme of the parts are loose (water nozel, oil cannister etc) but we haven't had any issues with parts going missing (a minor miracle in our house) so overall, this comes with a really strong reccommendation. If you're looking for a shed, and watching the pennies, you can't go much wrong with this. You're child will love it.

great value for money- lots to play with, a great additon to any wodden rail way. It compatible with all sorts of woooden track and thomas sized trains fit nicely into the sheds. The downside is it not especially robust, the spout of the grease pump detached the day after we got it - there appeared to be no glue holding it in at all - this was easily fixed. the lid of the oil pump came off a week or so later and was lost somewhere. The black arm thing (water pump?) detached a few months later and the little hut has disappeared without trace - but as it was well out of scale with the wooden men it's loss was unlamented. Other than that the rest of the shed has remained in pretty good nick and still gets played with regularly.Despite these niggles it is so much cheaper than similar products from other manufacturers i still give it a big thumbs up. Big jigs are a real godsend if your kids wooden railway ambitions and bigger than your wallet.

Great big and strong wooden train shed. it is magnificent as it fits 5 trains and even a repair area with a oil and water tank that kids can press to pretend the trains are being repaired. I have bought bigjigs products before and we like them. They are not as strong as Brio but they are good quality and they are well made, fun and affordable. There is a big selection to expand the train set and make it more interesting, the turn table by the same people is also brilliant and both my children enjoy playing with the shed and it made my little girl interested in trains too! I recommend here products.

Engine shed of a good size and has lots of features. My son loves parking his engines in shed. Only slight downside is shed space doesn't allow for the longer engines (even without tenders) and the doors swing open very easily and sometimes open onto space next door (little confusing for little ones!). Also have to ensure doors are open wide before train drives in or door gets stuck open by train. I am sure older children would have no problems but for my (only just)4 yr old caused a few stressful moments until he worked out what was happening!Overall though would say good buy!!

Having aded this to the rest of the railway set it adds a really fun addition. The kids love it and the Engine shed is the centre piece. The quality of the materials and build quality are what you would expect and my only concern is the hinges on the shed doors; I think they could do with being a little stronger, so anyone whose child is clumsy or rough with their toys should bare this in mind.Yes it's a bit on the pricey side, but you're buying a very good product and not a plastic imitation (it's of wooden construction in case you're not aware).

Bought for my son last Christmas (2013) and he still loves it and uses it for his Thomas wooden trains, though he knows it is not the Tidmouth shed from the stories or animation (which is too expensive!) It was just a bother to have the oil drum/pumps and water pump loose so I have superglued them on and it works better for him this way. The bigger wooden engines with a separate tender also do not fit which does bother my son's sense of organisation but he doesn't complain.

A very important part to add to the wooden train set. Perfect. The detail on the shed makes this well worth paying a little bit extra than less detailed cheaper versions. Particularly love the see through roof above each shed so the trains can be seen inside. Will house up to 5 trains so lovely to add to the collection and include at the end of the track

I bought this Five Way Engine Shed for my grandson who is three and a half. It arrived on time and he absolutely loves playing with it and makes up endless games using it. This shed is colourful and sturdy and works well with his wooden track. I highly recommend this as a brilliant toy that will last for years and years.

My son loves this shed but I find that it's not very solid. We've only had it a few weeks but the stickers are already coming off the doors. Also, the doors are a bit narrow, so some of his trains are difficult to get into the shed. I have to say that it looks impressive though and is getting a lot of use!

My 3 1/2 year old Thomas mad son loves this. He hasn't noticed that it is not the official tidmouth sheds one! It fits with his brio train set perfectly. Haven't had any problems with it breaking like some other reviews. My son isn't the type of child to chuck things about so maybe that's why.

We got this for Xmas for our two-and-a-half year old son. His face was a picture when he unwrapped it and he has played with it every day since - he has great fun enacting scenes from Thomas The Tank Engine and putting the engines away each night is part of the bed-time routine.

We have bought the Five Way Engine Shed as a Christmas present for our four year old Grandson so have not taken in out of the box. It looks exactly as advertised and we have bought Bigjigs items previously so feel confident that it will be sturdy and give him hours of enjoyment.

We have this toy for 2 years now and it is still as new. WIth all the doors that open and close, the turning platform and the oil pump, it has provided my son with hours of playing. Fits well with many brands of wooden rails that we have (Thomas, IKEA, etc).

The engine shed is well constructed and nicely finished with good detailing. It also conveniently and easily plugs into an existing railway network. Our grandson is very pleased with it.So, a good product, which arrived well packaged and on schedule.

This engine shed is very good quality, quite impressive for a little one to see (or open as a present!) and the resale value is excellent so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this if you are looking to buy an extension to a wooden railway.
