There are a few things I use every single day for one thing or another and feel lost without and sadly, permanent markers are one of those things! So many endless uses that these are used for in our house and the amount we use them in DIY and craft etc never seems to stop growing. As a result I've tried lots and lots of different permanent markers and made the mistake of trying to cut costs with very cheap ones in the past too - they're rarely as instant drying if permanent at all and always run out or dry out too quickly. BIC and one other brand are the only ones I now use and BIC are definitely the best in this arena - there's barely a surface these won't work on, the ink dries quickly, the tip is perfect for versatile use and they last extremely well. They feel proper quality too and I've sadly grown to really love the smell of these over the years too. These pro markers are absolutely perfect and a good price for a 12 pack.

I use permanent ink markers a lot for labeling, drawing, calligraphy etc. I have tested these markers to write on multiple surfaces and they work flawlessly. I have a wooden plank in the garden saying "Bees and Butterflies are welcome" which I have to keep re-ink due to extreme weather elements keep on wiping it out. I understand that sun and rain can wash out any ink but in the past it disappeared quicker than I imagined. This set states it is Ultra resistant permanent marker which can withstand extreme temperatures. I cannot tell as yet how long my plank re-ink will last but I am happy that the marker has very dark black ink and it flows very easily.I was able to write directly on the wooden plank which was chalky and dusty.I also quickly scribbled on sketch pad and marker seems to flow rather than a drag.I am very happy with them and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good quality permanent marker.

Having used these BIC markers before, I know how good they are. They are as permanent as any ink can be. They will fade in bright sunlight over time but a lot slower than those cheap markers you get in pound shops. There is very little in the way of surfaces that you can’t write on with these pens. Plastic, metal, linen, wood and just about anything else you can think of. Unfortunately, it’s permanent on clothing as well, so be warned and keep out of the reach of children unless you fancy buying a new wardrobe or redecorating. Most markers of this type have large tips, while great for making posters, they’re not much use for writing with. These BIC ones have a fine tip and you can write just like with a ballpoint pen (see my sample photo).Overall,if you need quality marker pens that last then you won’t go far wrong with these.

The Bic 964800CS marker pens write well on most surfaces. I’ve been using this type of solvent based marker for many years on a wide range of surfaces including metals and glass, and was very glad Vine offered me these to try.The fibre tip works as claimed with good flow to a well defined line about 1mm wide, so long as one does not spread it by pressing too hard. The Bic marker is not removed by water, or methylated or white spirits. It smells like it might have something like acetone as its solvent, and cellulose thinners eventually removed it from a hard surface. The cap is a good fit and might be sufficiently air tight to prevent the pen from drying out too quickly – as often happens with solvent based pens.Only time will tell how long the unused pens in this pack of a dozen might last on the shelf.

These are great BIC pens! The price may seem a bit much, but with a box of 12, it's unlikely you'll ever really need any more. Their design immediately stands out, attractive to the eye and - more importantly - ergonomic. It's sleek grip really is nice to look at. The cap comes off easily and it writes in a fine line - say goodbye to thick, bushy drawings!I found the pens last for a long time, I use them fairly regularly and have had no trouble in jamming or running out of ink. They write across a variety of surfaces very well. Very impressed, highly recommend.

These pens are good quality....I have used similar sharpies before. The medium tip on these is actually a bit finer than the Sharpies which is all good. They do have quite a strong odour from the ink (The Sharpies don't)They do the job I got them for...addressing "old school" brown paper parcels. Not a complaint about the pens....but when the package arrived I was short 2 pens due to a squashed box packaging, the whole thing had got a bit crushed. As these were an amazon vine review sample....I'm not complaining just pointing it out!

These permanent markers, as is often the case, do smell a bit of solvent, but they are useful to have. These gives a black feltpen-like mark. They have a tip on the end. And they will work on plastic, metal, cardboard cartons, wood and glass. They are water resistant. Also good, incidentally for permanently colouring in faded on black fabric. :-) You get 12 in this pack. Do be sure you snap the lids firmly, otherwise they dry out. The only downside is the smell. But you can't really avoid that with permanent markers.

Great permeant markers, write really well on a variety of surfaces, tried them on wood, metal plastic and cardboard, all fine. Even tried damp wood and they coped well. I will mostly be using them in theatres to write on white Gaffa tape, so they are pretty perfect, and could easily rival the Sharpies I normally use.The Amazon packaging however was atrocious, my outer box arrived open, and the inner box of pens had not had the ends closed, so most of y pens are now in the Royal Mail somewhere.

Great markers. The materials are really great—quality metal barrel with a cap that stops them rolling about. The nib is a bullet point that tapers to a fine point. It's basically perfect for writing on boxes for shipping—way more control than a Sharpie. They'll be excellent for creative work, and just about anything. They smell pretty solventy, in a good old fashioned Magic Marker way, so the fumes might upset sensitive souls in confined spaces.

Very useful box of black fine tip pens:Great for writing on plastic, metal, cardboard and anything else in can test on so far.Excellent for writing labels on plastic storage boxes as it dries very quickly and doesn’t smear or rub off. Will definitely buy again when they eventually run out. The writing does not wash or rub off no matter what you do so -BE WARNED!! Definitely keep away from kids otherwise chaos will ensue!

These markers come in a box of twelve, they are water resistant, medium tip black indelible ink permanent markers that will write on just about every surface - glass, wood, metal, cardboard, plastic - everything I have tried worked anyway! Just wait a few seconds and it dries quickly and smudge-free.Not at all a bad price for twelve. Very useful for both home and office.

Quality, quality, quality as you would expect from Bic - long lasting and reliable deep black marker pens. I use them for drawing and marking parcels, but an added bonus is all the surfaces that they can write on without smudging. As you can see I used them to fill in chipped paint on a Staffordshire flatback staue and it worked perfectly - permanent and invisible, great.

This appears to be solvent based pigment, judging by the odour, and so more durable than other inks. It is intense in colour, but not as quick drying as I anticipated - it does smudge on plastic immediately after writing. Once dry however, it is almost impossible to clean off.Does what it aims to, which is all you need from a marker, isn't it?

Nice black permanent marker. Smooth flow of ink and stay on surface well. Used it on woods and plastic materials that stay outdoor, the ink stays on well over different weather. The tip isn't very fine so not suitable for small fine writing. The metallic handle makes it look sturdy and professional. Overall very happy with these markers.

In my workshop I use a lot of Sharpies. They just do what I want when working with some materials and of course are permanent. And I reckon these are just as good with an even finer line. Perfect for crafts and even better for gardeners who want to mark up plant labels.Overall a great option if you want a weatherproof writing pen.
