I was dubious about getting a desk fan that ran off a USB 5-Volt supply but the reviews all indicated that it was OK. So how did it fare?PROS----1. Compact, so it fits on my desk (shelf) without getting in the way. About 140 mm at it's widest by the central pivot hinge.2. QUIET! In an office this is important so I'm glad all I hear is a gentle whirring and my nearest desk colleague hears nothing at all.3. It's lightweight so it's easy to move to get the breeze in just the right place (plus the fan moves up and down).4. YES! It generates a nice breeze from about 45cm - 60cm away, certainly as much as I'd hoped and more than I would have expected. If I have it any closer it's actually too much breeze!CONS----None.

Bought this for work to cope with 'tropical moments'. Not allowed to bring in or plug in anything electrical at work. Also not allowed to connect this fan via its usb connection to work pc so I am running it from the Anker astro mini lipstick sized portable charger external battery pack which charge at home beforehand and works very well. This fan is bigger than I expected and very quiet so doesn't affect anyone else at work and provides just about enough of a breeze to help me to cope. It has been an absolute godsend to me so I highly recommend it.

This is a great little fan.....for a few months. Ordered two for myself and a colleague, they arrived but one didn't work at all. Advised Amazon and they immediately sent a replacement while we sent the faulty one back. Now just two months later the repalcement has stopped working. Ok, it was only £5 and while it worked it provided the perfect breeze and was very quiet. The other original one is still working and worth every penny. Disappointed but Amazon have been brilliant offering to replace or refund, no questions asked.

This fan is very reasonably priced and is powered from a USB slot. It is excellent and gives a good draft due to the large blades and is almost silent. It is very lightweight due to being plastic, can be tilted to change the angle of draught and has an on/off switch at the back. This one in black is very discreet and blends in well around PCs. Delivery was fast (ie. does not come from China). Can't be faulted and I would definitely recommend it.

After the initial problem with the first delivery having transport damage the response was excellent in sending a replacement and cannot fault their commitment on ensureing the customer recieves their order correctly. The fan gives out a nice cool breeze and is a very quiet runner (even the boss can't hear it when it's running!!) Great addition if you work in a quiet environment

I previously purchased a USB fan for my work desk but people kept wondering what the buzzing noise was. The motor of it was still too noisy for an office setting.Then, I purchased this item following some recommendations from colleagues. This is nice little fan which really *is* silent. Now I can stay cool, and nobody even knows it!

Fantastic little fan and it really is virtually noiseless.... Its USB but if u have an adapter u can plug into mains. Its not hugely powerful but better than battery alternatives. U will need it quite near to get good effect and it's not big enough to cool a room. If u get hot flushes it's great tonplug in at ur desk

This is a brilliant little gadget - small, sturdy, effective, and (relatively) extremely quiet (as it's impossible for a fan to be totally silent!). I have had no problems with it moving about, even though it's perched on top of my computer. It has been a godsend in the hot weather. At the price you can't go wrong.

I use this to keep my desktop computer cool as it is located in an enclosure that has very little air circulation. Before I bought this I found the computer became overheated and would suddenly shut down but this fan has overcome the problem. It is whisper quiet so I don't even notice its presence.

The recent hot weather was affecting my sleep as I have asthma and am not supposed to have a window open in the bedroom, so I'd been wheezing a lot. The fan is light and almost completely silent and has been a Godsend. It looks pretty good, too! I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Very small and fairly quiet. I bought it for when I am staying in stuffy hotels with poor airflow. Works well sitting by the side of the bed when sleeping, even took it to Tenerife to help in the non ac room.Not great amounts of airflow, but fine when used in close proximity!

Had it 24/7 blowing cool air to the back of my iMac. You can hardly notice there is a fan going in the room. You need to sit very quietly with all devices muted in order to hear it. Just a whisper and blows a powerful stream of air. For the price, well worth it!

First unit packed in after 4 months but was easily returned and replacement posted out very quickly. Can't fault the customer service of the company but the quality of the product may be some questionable but only time will tell if it was a one off fault......

I bought this fan to create air movement in a small AV cupbord at home THAT I JUST BUILT. uSED IN CONJUCTION WITH A THEMOSTAT it does the job very well.Above all you can bearly hear it let alone if the tv ,etc is on. p.s Sorry about the caps lock being on

Works as expected .. Not particularly high airflow but for what I needed it works perfectly. Item is described as 'Noiseless' not strictly true but it is very quiet, ordered another. All in all very good but far too much additional packaging from Amazon
