I'm impressed by the silence and the power of this little fan. My office seems to be permanently overheated, but because we hot-desk I can't get a standard desk fan. This little beast is almost utterly silent, and I can feel its breeze even though I am a good 50-60cm from it. It also has a sturdy flexible metal cord, which allows you to angle the fan however you like. The cord rotates completely where it meets the USB plug, which is very handy indeed.I have a few issues with it, however. First, the metal cord, which allows you to customise the rotation of the fan, is ever so slightly too short. Since there is no way to stop the fan while it is plugged in, this makes the fan difficult to adjust.I can understand that lengthening the cord increases the weight of the object, and that brings me onto my second point. It is also a bit too heavy. This, I believe, cannot be helped, but if your USB port is vertical, you might notice it tilting as the fan head pulls the plug to a strange angle.Neither of these niggles reduces the functionality of the fan as far as I can tell, so between them they only cost the product a single star.

I bought this fan to use with my Raspberry Pi, as I had noticed that it was getting rather warm and I am a bit over sensitive about technology I love. When I was looking online for a USB fan, I noticed there were lots of chunky devices, and so when I discovered this small, neat one, I was pleased. I would have preferred another colour as white can be seen as a bit bland, however the other choices for colour where over triple the price, which I found confusing since this one is only £6.The fan itself is pretty much perfect for my uses. It is perfectly 'plug-and-play', as in, I literally plugged it into the usb port on the computer and it instantly began with no troubles. It is very quiet and you can not hear it unless your ear is right up against the blades. The bendy metal arm originally disappointed me since I could not bend it to hover over the Pi perfectly, however, I managed to balance some weights over it and after about an hour I had managed to bend it in place.Overall, I think this is a very high quality fan and possibly the best value one that money can buy.

So my office colleagues are laughing at me. "Its too small", "Its not blowing out much", "You should send it back, its pathetic".I like it though. I like the small size. I'm not a fan of big intrusive fans on my work desk. Also, I should declare that I'm not a fan of ..er.. fans. The blowing annoys me, I don't like the wind rushing past my ears. Fortunately I have no hair so don't need to worry about the L'oreal effect. The blow on this is just shy of being perfect. It cools the air around my face just enough.I like the size of the lead, enough to go through the slot at the back of my desk and around to the USB on the front of my tower on the floor by my feet.If you don't work in an air conditioned office, this might not cut it for you and you'll want something bigger and with more power. At the very least, its easy to pick up and hold near your face in extreme circumstances. But if you work in a hot office and need a bit of power, this might not be for you. If you like it light, go for it.

This is a deceptively efficient little fan. On first turning on I wasn't overly impressed, but after leaving it running for a few minutes I realised it was doing a very good job of cooling the air around me. It was purchased to help me live through my hot flushes which I had been managing by using a 12" desk fan placed about six feet from my armchair. Those of you who are going through the same will know how frustrating it is to turn a fan on because you're too hot, only to be turning it off again five minutes later because you're too cold, and repeating the process again and again during the evening. The Arctic Breeze is small enough to sit on the table by my armchair so convenient to turn on and off as the need arises.I am running it off a usb battery pack to get around plugging it into a usb port. I purchased a second Arctic Breeze to use in my bedroom; that one lives on my bedside table plugged into a spare usb 5v 1a phone charger. The motor is very quiet and doesn't interrupt sleeping.

The styling and build quality of this device are very nice; it's small, smart-looking and its weighted base means it stays put easily enough wherever you choose to place it.In operation you can't really expect too much from a USB-powered fan. Even on the maximum setting the breeze you get is quite weak. It needs to be close to you if you're going to feel it at all, and on a hot summer's day I imagine it would be like trying to douse a raging inferno with the contents of an ice bucket. It's more "Arctic" in name than nature. The upside is that the fan is very quiet. This is easily the quietest fan of any description I've ever owned,so it gets plus points for that.If you're looking for a quiet fan that will give you a gentle breeze and won't take up a mains socket, then you could do a lot worse than this one. On hot days, though, it probably won't be enough to cool you down, and should be looked upon as a secondary cooling device.

There was a bit of a wait for this because the Fulfilled-by-Amazon option was out of stock. However, once supplies arrived I received it within a couple of days by free Supersaver delivery.I've tested it for about 10 minutes, and find it nice and quiet - no thrumming noise, as it's not standing on a surface. It looks a bit precarious jutting out from the USB port at the side of my laptop, but it does seem to stay in place, and is easy to angle. The breeze is quite gentle - hardly arctic! (I had nothing else plugged into the USB ports). It gives a refreshing cool shot when you put your palm and wrist near.Emboldened by some of the other reviews,I realised that touching the hard plastic blades wouldn't result in a hand like the late Dave Allen's! It feels like touching the teeth of a very thick comb, and it may remove a flake or two of skin, but nothing worse.

Works perfectly for keeping my Surface Pro 4 i7 cool. I am a serious power user and have managed to get the surface to shut down due to overheating but not since using this. It doesn't ever use thermal processor throttling now.I power mine from the dock rather than the surface USB as it only has one port and this is the reason for the 4 stars: It's not the fact that it won't run from the USB - It probably would. It just that there is no power switch for when I go home at night so I have to unplug it which will wear the port on the dock and that's a lot more expensive than this fan.MANUFACTURER: FIT AN ON/OFF SWITCH!Other than that its great and I think it would make a reasonable small face fan for a desk too.Just don't touch the blades when on as it hurts. Not dangerous though, just painful.

Purchased for use in the office where I am generally quite warm and if too warm feel sleepy - not good in the office. Normally I use a big fan bit it's noisy and sometimes more breezy than I require so, after checking a few, I decided to give this a try.I've used Arctic items for years in various PC's I've built as, in particular, they make good quiet CPU coolers so expected this to be as good and it is. I like how small it is and how it looks, all in black, also the variable speed switch is great and much better than having just 2 or 3 speed option switches. I tend to have it on the minimum speed and there's no noise and just the right amount of breeze to cool me.The flexible neck means it can be angled just right for a light breeze over my keyboard.Very happy.

I was a little skeptical about this fan due to the short length of the arm, I thought it would be too far away from me and too difficult to position. However, I'm sat here in a strong breeze for a tiny fan and it's only taken a few moves to get the position just right! It doesn't hurt if you catch your fingers on the fan when it is in use but it does make quite a dramatic sound! I bought this fan because I am a contractor and work in lots of places, some of which are seriously uncomfortably hot. This can now pack into my laptop bag and go anywhere with me. I may even buy a second, for those REALLY hot days, and have one on either side of my laptop screen!!

The Arctic Breeze Mobile - 92mm USB fan has been great for use in my office. It is very quiet with just a slight hum, and it produces a very cooling breeze. Safety-wise, it stops if you accidentally stick your finger in the blades. It does not have an off switch, so it starts when you insert it into the USB port and stops when you remove it.Two further points:- It can be made portable by using a mobile phone USB power bar. Handy!- With a vertical USB port like mine I have had to wedge some post-its under the USB attachment. The fan tends to lean downwards under it's own weight and I don't want to over-bend the wire, otherwise it'd get 5 stars!

I have had this fan for over a year - I even bought a second one, so now I have one for home and the office! It's the only way I survive spring and summer tbh. Trust me, this fan is all you need. Very little noise made, a soft and gentle breeze is enough to cool as long as you are at your computer. The neck of the fan is easy to position, after a year mine is not as stiff as it used to be, but it still holds for the majority of the day without repositioning. You won't be disappointed with this fan, it really is that good :)Ps everyone else at my office is jealous and always want to borrow it! Probably the only downside to this great product.

I was so impressed with the first one, I bought another two!I'd seen other USB powered fans in a sort of cage thing but this does away with that altogether so the blades spin free. It's slightly larger than most as it's a 7 blade, 9cm fan. Although the blades are solid, It doesn't hurt if you touch it accidentally. The bendy metal stalk holds position really well however you want to twist it. It's a cooling breeze - just enough to cool you down but don't expect a storm force gale to blow out of the thing. It's also amazingly quiet. When I'm not using it to cool me down, I point it under my laptop stand to supplement the cooling flow there.

Great little fan for hot office days at the PC - it pumps out a surprising amount of airflow, is discreet and impressively quiet. It can easily be angled directly at your face for maximum cooling power. It plugs in and immediately just starts spinning. Note - if you 'sleep' a PC with the fan plugged in, it may continue to spin indefinitely depending on power settings. On the negative side, the fan only has one speed (the product header suggests it has 'flexible' speed) and the bendy metal arm would preferably be ~50mm or so longer to be perfectly adaptable (although it functions fine at current length).

Received this as a gift and wasn't too sure what to expect as most USB gadgets I've had are pretty useless and just a gimic....this is not the case with this one! It's very sturdy and well constructed, it's doesn't feel like it will break very easily. I plugged it into my laptop and was very surprised how effective the fan is, it certainly cooled me down! I was also surprised how quiet the fan is, it was like it says virtual silent. You can angle the fan any way you want, the rod is very strong and stays in position.Overall it is a great little gadget, well worth the money you won't be disappointed

I picked up one of these for my second PS3 as my original console died from solder degradation and my room is like a sauna, so I just wanted something to keep the air moving and the underside of the PS3 cool. The fan itself is a lot quieter than other USB fans out there although it is louder than the playstation, and the air is channelled broadly rather than in a singular narrow straight line. My only criticisms would be that it should be available in black, and that the flexible stem should be twice the length, but still impressive and very effective for cooling specific areas of the console .......
