Bought this as I’m migrating to the Apple ecosystem and wanted to jump now. It’s quiet, fast and so far reliable. I was worried about the i3 performance and 8gb of RAM but it’s plenty for general purpose computing and for work for me (zoom, remote admin, O365 etc) Very much enjoying it and a world of difference to the windows 10 pc it replaced. This is a stop gap computer for me until they release an ARM based iMac but I get the feeling this will be staying around as it’s so good.Two things to note:I am using it with a 27” 4K Iiyama monitor but this is not ideal. You need 2x pixel scaling for a decent “retina class” display so opt for a smaller 24” 4K if you can or a larger 5k display.

I hate that I have to have a Mac because they own the audio software I prefer to use. The i5 version works really well bit seems hugely overpriced. It's a nice neat unit and had 4 thunderbolt connections for lots of add on capacity. Annoying that you have to pay apple to upgrade the RAM if you don't want to risk the warranty. Still it does what I need it to do. Don't forget you need your own keyboard and mouse!

I needed to replace my very old IMac and couldn't afford a new one. This is brilliant and way faster than my old one. Love it!

Great piece of kit as always with apple products. Not a gaming machine in anyway but does everything I need

Note that even though they say 2020, Apple only updated the SSD size. Still a great machine
