I have had this phone for one hour so am only writing about the fantastic set up procedure. My iPhone 7 Plus developed what I believe to be a battery bulge after 32 months which, in itself is not good, but I was only really expecting 36 months so am not too disappointed. I am still marginally better off than if I had taken out a contract rather than buying outright. If I understand the issues surrounding li-ion batteries, they often have a limited useful life as illustrated by my other laptops and power tools.Anyway, it was with much trepidation, about a week ago, when I started embarking upon finding out about transferring data from one iPhone to another. It was fairly easy to discover there were probably four methods:1.Do it yourself and set up everything manually.2. Place both phones side by side and follow the on screen instructions.3. Backup old phone to I-cloud and then restore to new phone.4. As above using iTunes. The best bets at the time appeared to be options 3 and 4 since, if one chose to back up using encryption (make sure you can see your phone screen whilst doing this as a passcode is required and if it is behind your laptop lid you wonder why nothing is happening!) all app passwords were saved. I was not too worried about these but was concerned about my two email account details. My main one - Tiscali - (via TalkTalk) has always been a real pain to set up because the various settings are not always easy to find and then not always correct! For this reason I therefore backed up to everywhere as well as downloading the Tiscali settings as provided by Apple on their settings lookup page. Fortunately I need not have worried. On arrival I plugged the new phone in near the old one. The new one turned itself on and the old one displayed a message asking if I wanted to set the new one up and transfer data. I think the first thing it must do after entering the passcode is to copy the wifi settings. Then shortly after the new phone requests a face scan. Afterwards it offers an operating system update. At this juncture, while the old phone indicates it is still updating the new, it was not entirely clear what to do - accept or wait. Having waited fifteen minutes and seeing no further progress I accepted the update at which point both phones indicated the download, verification and installation. It is worth mentioning that from the start the new phone constantly locked after five seconds and the first thing I should have done was to go to Settings: Display and Brightness and sorted it. Nevertheless after a restart and another five minutes of further transference all was complete. Both email accounts were set up and importing messages and after an hour of looking nearly everything else seems to be right too including my saved guitar tones in Amplifi. The only exception appears to be my home videos which had been imported into VLC using iTunes recently when the latter deleted them and Apple TV refused to import them; how annoying! As we are warned of the (possible) dire consequences of swapping simcards whilst the phones are on I dutifully turned both off. I was surprised on receiving the 7 Plus how hard you had to press on inserting the tool in the tiny hole, presumably due to waterproofing (waterresistancing?!). This time, biceps bulging I was armed and ready. Then it was a bit like arriving on holiday when one's carrier sends a text suggesting you import a profile to make the phone function properly in a new country. When abroad having tapped the link this usually installs automatically. On this occasion I received a, “Profile downloaded. Review the profile in settings app if you want to install it.” message. Unfortunately it was none too clear precisely where to do such but the necessary option is to be found in: Settings .> General > Profiles & Device Management. Therefore I am very pleased so far and will remain so just as long as the Wetherspoon app functions properly next time I go for a pint and the 10 Pro max lasts longer than the 7 Plus.Update - two days later. Banking app. passwords/authentication needed setting up again possibly for security purposes and since Pingit can only run on one device anyway. ITunes appears to have synched my home movies into Apple TV now (following ios 13.3 update?) albeit with numerous wrong thumbnails. This can be sorted manually similar to album art with music files although making one's own jpegs is necessary.Mike.

If you've used an iPhone before you probably know the deal by now, every new iPhone is better than the old iPhone and this is no different. It's yet again another great iPhone. So I'm not going to talk about the features of the phone as I'm sure you can read or watch reviews from much more talented reviewers than I to learn about those. Instead I'm going to focus on the fit and finish of the iPhone that was delivered to me and if it matches the review samples. If you don't want to read a point-by-point assessment here's the conclusion: it does match the reviews, the "hype" is real. The screen on this is incredibly bright (much more so than previous models) and perfectly uniform.I cannot see a difference from one square millimetre of this display to another. This is in my opinion quite remarkable. It's rare to find any display on any consumer electronic device that is completely uniform in brightness and colour temperature but somehow Apple has accomplished it.In addition to that, the phone came looking pristine, the seals around the edges are perfect, the screen fits in the body perfectly. There's no rattling or creaking sounds, no gaps where there shouldn't be. This phone feels very premium in the hand and well constructed. The microphone is also top notch. This is the first iPhone I've owned where Siri works from across a room without difficulty. Something they advertised on prior iPhones but didn't quite deliver on until the iPhone X, XS/XR and now 11 and 11 Pro. If you're coming from an iPhone 7 or 8 it's a big step up.The speakers are also enhanced, they go louder and they sound clearer when they do. I also found the front glass vibrates a lot less when the volume is loud compared to prior iPhones. And that's really all there is to this review. The unit I received matches the ones that reviewers also received. Make no mistake, it's a lot of money for a phone but these days we spend hours on them and they have become some peoples most important physical possession right next to their primary mode of transport and as you know Cars, Motorcycles and even great Bicycles cost a lot of money these days, phones are no different in that great ones cost more.I'd definitely recommend this phone for someone that wants the best with very little compromises. iPhones still don't have MicroSD slots and the 3.5mm headphone jack is still missing, there's no under-screen fingerprint reader either but these are all minor for me. The processing power, great camera and incredible display more than make up for some of these absent features and I've even grown to like FaceID over the years, especially its ability to hide notifications until your face comes into view.

This phone is amazing!I’ve upgraded from a dying iPhone 8 to this iPhone 11 Pro Max and it’s been such a good decision. Upon opening the box I was shocked at how much better this phone looks in person; the perfectly polished stainless edges, the matted back glass with the polished camera surrounding, the shiny front screen and the unique camera display. It was super easy to set up, just put it next to my iPhone 8 and ten minutes later everything was transferred. Including all my apps, photos, layout settings, passwords, contacts and anything else you can think of. So the transition was super easy. After setting it up, I began using it and instantly noticed the difference in screen quality. This screen is sharper, brighter and more colourful. (Due to the new screens used in the 11 pro models). This phone is also noticeably faster than my old phone with everything, as expected. The battery life is so impressive, I can go two days with light use of my phone or easily a day with heavy use, with no worry about my phone dying. Now the big things about this phone. The new cameras. I’ve been continuously impressed with the new cameras. They work perfectly together to create amazing images and videos. I use all of the features frequently so buying the pro has definitely been the better option over the 11 alone. The inner camera is also greatly improved, it is considerably better than the iPhone 8 main camera.I’ve had no issues with this phone so far and *touch wood* this phone will last for a good few years.Addressing the main thing people criticise about this phone, the price. Granted this phone was well over £1,000 which is a lot of money. But the build quality and the internals of this phone are unquestionably impressive. It’s been made of higher quality materials than most others phone (for example the stainless steel frame instead of aluminium, which is much harder wearing) along side competing with all the flagship phones available today. And it’s an apple product, which do have a higher price tag than most other products. But with this phone, it’s a much more justified price tag.

I’ve had this phone since launch in September 2019. It is without doubt the best iPhone ever. The battery life is fantastic and I regularly get a full 2 days before needing to charge. The screen is pin sharp and clear and photos taken with the camera are near perfect. Also the stereo sound is the best I’ve heard from any phone. The regular software updates are one of the things Apple does right with every iPhone and (other Apple products) receiving the update as soon as it is released. No waiting for months as android phones have to (unless it’s a Pixel). After using this phone for 8 months I can say I’ve not had a single issue with it. I have had several Samsung phones in the past, the last one being the S10+, and have always had issues of some kind as well as very slow updates. My only gripe with iPhones is the price to storage ratio. I had to get the 256gb option as I felt 64gb wasn’t big enough so ended up paying more. As I have other Apple products I find this integrates with them seamlessly.Pros:Epic battery lifeBrilliant cameraFantastic screenDay one software updatesLong software supportComes with fast chargerPerfect integration with other Apple productsCons:High price to storage ratioNo expandable storage

Excellent phone. The battery performance is fantastic. On a normal days use I have over 80% battery remaining. My last phone was around 50 - 70% with similar use. That’s without using any battery saving features and with location services on. iOS looks the same but there are new features and the phone does a good job to tell you without being too disruptive. The cameras are great although I would have preferred manual control over night shot. I bought the green phone which looks nice although in certain lights it can look grey, I had to check I wasn’t sent the space grey model by mistake. On a max model I would have liked to have seen more features like headphone jack, sd card expansion,PowerShare, high refresh rate and maybe an additional USB port. That’s quite a lot of missing features and I don’t think I’m being unreasonable asking for those considering what I paid (other cheaper phones do this). The main downside to iPhone is the use of the obsolete lightning port, even the iPad has dropped that dead horse. I really like the phone it just feels a bit like a late 2017 phone at times when you look how far the competition has come in terms of features and innovation. Also Siri is in need of an update.

Expensive but worth every pennyLoving the camera for portrait and wide landscape shots – took a picture of a black cock a poo and it picked up every detail in his face was gorgeous – used to have to plug my phone in For power when using Siri – now are use Siri all the time anywhere went on the go – and it actually works perfectly – makes looking up things on the Internet, spelling, translation to any language including Japanese a piece of cake–Watching films is amazing the sound clarity and picture quality means you don’t need a TV in your bedroom not that you should anyway LOL I bought the highest memory 500 and something gigabytes so love it I can keep all my data with me including all mypuppy shots – I say if they have the good grace to invent it we should buy it And this is worth it-The phone is a bit heavier but I don’t notice because I keep it in my combat trousers – I can use it in the bath and not worry about it getting wet because it’s waterproof to 4 m for 30 minutes – I could go on but that will do for now if you can afford it go for it if you can’t afford it don’t put yourself in debt for it the 6plus did me well before x

I don’t often buy a new phone but my trusty iPhone 7 Plus has given up after more than three years. I think the battery is worn out and I am told I can’t get another iPhone 7!So why a iPhone 11 plus max? Well for me it’s the size of the screen and the shear quality of the screen. Also the longer lasting battery between charges. The camera is way over the top for me. If I was still doing photography it would make a good back up And I could send images direct to the editor.I am not convinced about apple getting rid of the fingerprint recognition but I suppose I will get used to face recognition.I think that the price is way over the top and that apple should have made an in between model with alarger screen because in a lot of cases the expensive camera will not be put to full use.If you are about to get a new phone you should look carefully at all current iPhone models and you may have to consider a different manufacturer as well because it would seem that the basic telephone is being replaced by more gadgets. Whilst in my local area there are still places where the signal is very low!

I have had an iPhone from the release of the original one in 2007.Pretty much everything electronic in my house is made by Apple, iPads, iPhones, Apple TVs, MacBooks, iMacs, Mac Pro’s, AirPods, Apple extreme routers, you get the idea. For this latest update I upgraded from an iPhone 7 Plus. There was nothing wrong with the 7 plus, I just couldn’t resist the latest offering from Apple.I have had it now for 5 months, it’s a great phone but I can’t help feeling somewhat underwhelmed. The camera is great but there is nothing else worth the upgrade cost over the 7 plus, yes it’s faster and has a better base memory but the 7 plus wasn’t a slouch and everything I have is cloud based so my 32gb phonewas never more than 16gb full.If I’d had the use of it for a couple of weeks on a trial I would have kept the 7 plus and spent my £1000 elsewhere. If you’re upgrading from a 6 or older it will be a massive improvement but anything newer I would try before you buy.I imagine I’ll keep this one for the next 4 years until I give in and get the iPhone 15 and have buyers remorse all over again.

I used to have an iPhone 7 Plus, then changed to a Galaxy Note 9, as I thought there wasn’t a need to spend so much on an iPhone... within 6 months I regretted my decision and was on the hunt for a new iPhone. This is when I bought the iPhone 11 Pro Max. At £1,300 for the 256GB model it is VERY expensive. But 100% worth it.The battery life on this phone is INSANE. Everyone used to say the Note 9 had good battery life, but I can get 2 days out of this thing! I NEVER have to worry about charging it. Even with very heavy use, I can easily get 8 hours of screen on time with this phone. The camera is also incredible. Before lockdown I went to Amsterdam and took some lovely photos. The night mode is also amazing and takes great photos in the dark, without flash. This phone is the best phone I have ever had. I will never go back to android again. If you’re considering purchasing this phone, just buy it. You won’t regret it.

Before anyone says anything I’m not a iPhone fan boy before I bought this iPhone I had a Samsung.Right to the phone. And why I feel it’s the best one.1 Battery life it last so much longer and with the fact that on a daily basis I’m using a lot of music apps tv apps it seems to be holding really strong.2. The camera it’s so refreshing to have so many different modes like wide and night and things like that but it’s not just we will throw this on the phone and hope it works. Every photo I have taken has been crisp3. Security on the phone I use the Face ID and I have to say they have improved this it actually recognised my face instead of just a full nope.4.The IOS13 I will be honest I haven’t really noticed much of a difference apart from where u update apps. I’m not really a fan of thatAll in all the rating I would give this phone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Read full review...

I originally wanted this phone in the space grey colour but as this was out of stock I decided to go for the silver, the phone itself is ideal everything you could want the camera is excellent and although it is a considered purchase because of the cost the fact that you can get it on 12 month interest free credit is great and actually made the decision easy as I considered it is better to purchase the phone outright rather than with a contract of 2 or 3 year as you would if you purchased through a mobile network which in the end would cost a lot moreI know that once the phone is paid for it is mine with no further cost and the price you see is the price you pay as long as you pay it off withinthe 12 month buy now pay later periodSo glad I decided to purchase and would recommend this phone to anybody

Previously I’ve had the iPhone 4, 6, 7plus, 8plus and XR. This 11 Pro Max is the best by far. It’s an absolute joy to use.The feel of the phone is amazing, the aesthetics have improved, everything is just.....better!There’s so many fantastic features I really can’t write them all here, you’d be reading for far too long. All I can say is don’t hesitate to get one if you’re thinking about it. You won’t regret it.I decided to upgrade early as I’m not interested in waiting for 5G capabilities. By the time we get round to expanding the networks for 5G, so they’re actually useable by most of the country, it’s probably going to be 2022/23 anyway! One slight negative (to others, not myself). No USB-C.I’m not fussed by that though. Love this iPhone!

Ok this is not a cheap phone, but it is brilliant!! The camera is amazing! The battery life is exactly what I hoped! The phone gets used a lot and I only to charge it on my way to and from work for my hour commute, and a full charge Saturday night. It’s never gone below 50%. It would probably last a few days if I just left it. It’s responsive and having the notch keeps time and signal easy to quickly identify (I thought it was going to be intrusive, but it wasn’t). The screen is wonderful too! I love this phone! My only gripe is the size is a little too large to use single handed, but I went for the phone for the max battery and knew it was large.I didn’t fully realise how big that impact was going to be.

Apple hit it out of the park! I’ve never had a battery like this, I finish everyday on at least 40% and that’s with heavy use of the camera, lots of streaming and other day to day apps. Screen is bang on, colours are accurate and very bright! Stereo speakers are also incredible, loud, crisp and the binaural sound is REAL! Then there’s the cameras, Apple just know how to do it don’t they, the way they seamlessly work as one is some achievement.. the ability to zoom out 0.5x to zoom in up to 10x while recording is very useful! If you’re thinking of upgrading from a X or below, get this phone!!

I tend to miss a few models and after about three years, upgrade to the latest offering. I never buy on contract and only have SIM only.I like bigger phones so the Pro Max was the obvious choice. Like most people, it's an essential business tool and this has not been disappointing. Has more weight to it compared to my 7 plus but the screen is really remarkable and the battery life seems to be sufficient for my daily needs unlike my predecessor. Expensive yes. You could probably buy a reasonably small second-hand car for similar money but I doubt you get the quality, reliability or use.
