After research as to whether to get an official one or a copy - I was disappointed to read reviews the the official ones also shared the same problem as the copy I was replacing... that the connector to the laptop got immensely hot to the touch and I felt it was unsafe. Reviewers on the Apple site were saying about the reduction in quality of the materials used etc - but I opted for the official one anyway, and to be honest, so far, the charger is working fine, and the connector doesn't get hot.

When my charger conked out unexpectedly I was left in a bit of a pickle - flat battery and the slight doubt that maybe it was the laptop that was dead, not the charger. Thank god Argos carried this item, the official Apple charger, as my previously cheaper version was clearly not meant for a long life and the real deal had the computer powered up and running in no time, with only a day left hanging while I waited to pick up. Great product and I was so happy it was in stock at my chosen store.

Having had a bad experience with other online retailers passing off repackaged, non-UK and potentially counterfeit chargers it is very reassuring to know the Argos can be relied upon to sell genuine Apple product, in the correct packaging, with valid serial numbers, etc. Perhaps a little more expensive that some of the so-called deals online but it is a good price for the real thing, and it is ready for immediate collection.

When people say if you are buying a replacement for an Apple good, you should spend the money to get a proper well you should. This is the second charger I've bought the first one being a proper Apple product and you know what yeah it pays unfortunately to buy Apple's instead of a cheaper. So yeah buy this one instead of a fake and save yourself time and energy and just do it.

I have had my mac since 2013 and the charger was really broken to the point I had to pretty much hold it together with tape. I looked everywhere for a new charger. I thought eBay would be good, but I thought if I had brought one from there it might blow up. So I had a look on Argos and brought it that same day. I can now carry on writing and playing wow :)

Works just as you would expect. It’s been converting electricity from the wall into my MacBook like only this charger could. If you need a new charger and you have the right MacBook, then this is the one for you. Only issue is it is mighty pricey. If buying a new laptop to get a free charger wasn’t as expensive then I’d advise that instead though.

Yes this power adapter is expensive, but it is an official apple charger, and after the number of horror stories I have read online about cheaper third party adaptors found on ebay, it just isnt worth the hassle of getting a fake one.This one feels solid, and is safe.

Good service all very quick and one in stock. Only problem that being an Apple product it didn’t say exactly which laptops it was compatible with and you can’t open the box to check so I had to take a punt. Luckily it was fine for my 2011 Mac Book Air.

I bought this due to the fact that an imitation charger I bought just suddenly stopped working after less than 3 months. Yes the genuine apple ones are more expensive but it's better value for money (at least I hope it will be! Ask me again in a year?)

I needed to replace a Mac power supply and as they now have different Mag connectors I was not sure which one would be suitable. The agent was incredibly helpful and went to great lengths to find me the right power supply. Very good indeed.

I bought a second hand MacBook 2013 late . Come with a crappy power supply ( non genuine) I decided to bite the bullet on this official charger and what can I say what delight it is to use . You get what you pay for

It's a charger, it does the job, but they are expensive. which is why people look for cheaper copies which may catch fire. Me I'll still to Apple once every five to seven years replacement worth getting the correct one.

Great product, I searched high and low for a reasonable/substitute charger but settled on an authentic Apple product; very glad I did it works the same as my old one, i plan to take much better care of this ones wire.

Just got it but looks and feels better than the previous one I bought. Additional cable length was a good surprise, means I can use it in more places. More expensive than other products but you get what you pay for.

Its an Necessity and I need my laptop to work. What more can I say. Cost is too expensive though but I blame Apple, not Argos. Argos shipping was fast and retrieving was easy at my local Argos pickup location.
