...and i guess that's what makes it worth reviewing! Because this is an awful lot of money for a charging lead! Now its true that you can buy cheaper,unbranded ones online for a fraction of the price but all the reviews seem to suggest that you'll stand a good chance of burning your house down. So at least if you go for the OEM version like this one you can sleep easily, knowing that you have played your part in Apple becoming the worlds first Trillion Dollar Company.

As anyone who uses Mac gear knows they are pricy, but have in the past chosen alternatives and been disappointed. This was a replacement not for a failing device but because of dog damage to one of the cables thankfully not of the 240v side .... As all Mac gear simply does what it says on the box back up and running in minutes ..... be careful when purchasing be sure and double check there are variants that look the same but work on higher outputs ...

Each time I have bought a Mac or had one through work I have received the 1 charger in the box and always needed a second spare but have never bought an apple charger as my 2nd because of the price.I decided however this time I would as I heard they last a long time and my most recent amazon 5* charger cut out after 9 months. In summary - very happy, worth the price for apple product and performance is very good! I have a MacBook Air 2017

I needed a charger for my MacBook Air fast due to the situation of covid-19 and needing to work fromHome. (Due to the puppy chewing through myn) I was able to contact Argos, order, and purchase a charger within 30 minutes. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone who was very helpful and ensured that there was stock available in my area to help make the process smooth, so thank you!

I saw cheaper alternatives online but I am always dubious about buying accessories that are not apple, as you run the risk that the device will say that it doesn't support them. It's an expensive item but i'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. The previous cable lasted nearly 7 years so Im hoping this one will last just as long.

This product was exactly what I needed. It works for my Early 2014 Macbook air and the lead is short enough that it no longer gets tangled in my bag. Definitely worth the price rather than paying the ridiculous amount on the apple store! arrived when it said it would. Great product. Great service. thankyou

I am one of these people who are afraid of buying a « fake » charger that could affect my Mac so I’d rather put that ridiculous amount of money for a charger...Does what it is supposed to do, I ordered it and collected it the same day which is quite convenient !

Argos were quick to deliver in my local store and the staff were very helpful. My puppy chewed through one wire but had to replace the whole unit rather than just the cable damaged. Most of the elements for sealed together so can't unplug sections and replace.

This Mac Charger appears to be the original Apple one. The price is the same as you would get it for on Apple's site (expensive!) but Argos delivered it on the same day, which is great as my previous charger had broken and I needed my laptop for work.

The design of the charger may not mean it lasts that long although I have had my previous charger for approx 6 years so can’t complain really. It would be better to not have to wind the wire round the plug as this will always create a weak point.

Can't distinguish from a genuine apple charger - great quality and at a much better price than from the Apple Store. Can't fault the buying process, speed of delivery or the product, thoroughly impressed.

Very happy w/ the quality of the product, even if I feel the price of chargers are somewhat outrageous, but this is a perfectly good apple charger, at half the price of what you would pay on their website

It does what is supposed to, as its pretty much a monopoly, if you need it, you'll buy it. It will charge your Mac, but, for what is just a laptop charger, Apple are expensive, so it's not worth 5 stars.

I bought this as a replacement for an original charger that had broken due to exposed wires. The replacement works perfectly fine and is very good value when compared to other similar replacement.

I need a second charger. One I leave at work and the second at home. Then I don’t have to bother about charger if I took it or if I forget it. With two chargers you forget that you need one!
