Real nice HDD for external use that offers brilliant protection all round. I purchased this item as I was looking for something more rugged than your average everyday external HDD,s that don't offer much protection at all. As I tend to sometimes drop things, I've "tested" this HDD protection level in this very manner , and can safely say it'll survive a fall or two . And the hard drive inside Will still work once connected back up to ur PC. I've had two external HDD,s that didn't match the same level of protection of the Adata and because I dropped them on a hard surface , they failed. This is something you won't have to worry about with this HDD however .

I like this hard drive. I have had it for a while now and it loads files seemlessly of all sorts. Documents photographs films and many other things i have thrown at it. I have dotted off a star as the usb lead is extremely short with little wiggle room. I have a number of other hard drives with same problem and it seems to be a theme of most manufacturers not just ADATA. Please stop it. This is a robust unit and feels very sturdy. I would recommend it to would be purchasers. It is simple to copy and paste files onto or to create folders. No frills just the way I prefer hard drives to function.

I have been looking for a cheap, durable, reliable external hard drive with a USB 3.0 interface. The capacity did not matter but 1TB or greater was on my shopping list. I was attracted by the appearance of the ADATA HD650 so I purchased one. It has met my 3 criteria but in addition it has proved to be virtually silent. I have to put my hand on the case to verify that it is in operation. I was impressed so I purchased another. I carry each drive in my laptop bags because another feature is they are very lightweight.

Was unsure at first as many reviews stated that the connecting cable was weak/sensitive and often fell out when touched, corrupting transfers. This is not the case - at least not with mine anyway - I am very happy with the product. Transferred about 400 GB of files from my laptop in about 35 - 45 mins. Fast, easy to use, well protected. I would thoroughly recommend spending a little extra on this instead of buying a cheaper HDD of the same capacity. Excellent product.

I bought this is Dec 2016 not having heard of ADATA before, I wasn't expecting much, but after more than 2 years constant use, it's still going strong. Admittedly I have it plugged into my TV and use it for storing media so it's doesn't travel much (to work and back once a month) but I've never had any ready write issues and connection faults. I'm now looking for a larger drive for another use and would use this brand again.

I recieved my product on time after paying for next day delivery which was great. The product works and is suitable for use. The item was pre-opened (the sticky tab wasn't attached and the item itself was dusty and dirty) so I believe it was an item previously returned. The 3.0 USB port is awkward to put the cable in to on the device itself.

Excellent little hard drive. The last time I bought a hard drive they were enormous and used to require a power supply. This is tiny in comparison and feels very well built. Transfers speeds are consistent and quick through USB 3.0. It looks very rugged, I imagine it would survive a few drops.

Feels sturdy and has a fast transfer speed (although only in one of my laptop's usb ports for some reason, the others fluctuate massively up and down, but I suppose that's my issue). It's not too big either, you could fit it in most pockets quite easily!

Bought to use with my 2012 macbook pro and to manage my time machine backups, as had a recent ssd failure and nearly lost some of my work. Anyway hooked to the macbook easily, and had done the first initial backup within an hour.. so worth it.

Excellant storage hard drive, fast and reliable. I had three western digital drives fail on me lost a lot of photos. Wont buy them again. This adata is a must for reliability. Would reccomend to anyone looking for a hard drive.

Purchase for a friend so no real feedback on this actual drive but I purchase because I have had Adata drives before and if this is just as good it will be bulletproof! Worth purchasing for the added pretection it comes with.

Product now arrived. I understand delivery issues were with couriers. Product works for intended Purpose. Xstra Digital Storage did everything they could to contact me and advise of progress after my initial comment.

this is a great external hard drive , transfer rate is amazing and the price is also amazingwhy pay more for a brand name when I get the same with this for less than half the cost of a branded name

I have quickly downloaded plenty of data, photos and music onto this. So far it is great. Still haven't used it much, so I am reserving a 5 star, and may add it later in an update. So far, so good.

Why I really need a military grade external hard drive, living on Surbiton, I'm not quite sure. The Adata HD650 1TB is great though and I would buy one again.
