Works with Maldon sea salt which is what I think they call a wet salt. Looks dry to me, but what would I know. Bought the pepper one also.Grinds nice, but time will tell. If its a load of rubbish I shall up date the post. This appears made in Germany, Cole and Mason stuff is made in China. If its made in China I want it for next to nothing as that's what they buy it for.So initial thoughts are good work.

I have spent far too long looking for the perfect Salt and Peppermill, and this is it. The grinding mechanism is superb, and the millhas a good weight, unlike some other leading brands which I subsequently returned.The colour range is pretty, and I have the Pepper mill in a different colour. Could not be happier :)

A brilliant piece of engineering, so so easy to use. Instantly dispenses required amount of salt. First class, & great price.
