The Yale Sync Smart Home Alarm is a great addition to our home security and I’ve been really pleased with it so far.We already have the ring doorbell and the ring security light so the alarm was a perfect addition to our existing security set up, although they can’t work together we seem to be happy utilising both apps so far.The integration of being able to use the Yale home app to set the alarm, part arm or disarm from anywhere is a great function and makes arriving home easier as you’re able to disable before you get out the car ladened with shopping bags and cranky kids after school.Another feature that we really like is the geo-location notification that reminds you via your phone to set the alarm when you’ve left the house,this comes in really handy if you’ve a thousand things already going on in your head!The yellow siren box fit easily in place of the existing box and is a fab deterrent to onlookersBecause the app is linked to the motion sensors I know if any movement is picked up or a door is opened when no one is home and it can all be controlled in the appThe device itself was easy to set up, what we liked about it is that there is no hard wiring required, having just renovated we didn’t then want to go drilling holes, so being battery operated was a major plus for us. The devices themselves come prelinked making it extremely easy to install, in all it took around just under an hour to have it up and running, well hubs I should say worked his magic.The device does integrate with Alexa but as this isn’t something that we use we are unable to use this feature or comment on how it works.I do like the fact you can add up to 40 devices so we will be adding some additional smoke detectors and the possibility of the security door handle for adding securityAll in all a fab product and has worked for us great with no issues so far!. This is a great alarm system. Everything is wireless so you don't need to worry about running cables anywhere, and batteries are provided for all of the devices.Getting it up and running was really easy and just a matter of making sure that the sensors would be in range of the control unit, which had to be connected to the internet router.As a starter package, this kit has enough sensors for a small home (2x movement sensors, 1x door sensor), whilst additional sensors can be bought separately and easily added to the system.The siren is very loud, which is great as the whole street will be alerted if anyone is trying to break into your home.It also comes with tamper protection so it will be triggered if anyone tries to break it or mess with it.It's great being able to check the status of the alarm at any time by using the phone app and the application sends you a notification (and email if you require) if any of the sensors are triggered.You can easily set up zones around your house, enabling you to have the alarm partly armed when you're sleeping for example. I found this easy to set up through the app. One criticism I would have here would be that you can only have two zone settings- full armed or part armed, and are unable to set up any additional zones.A keypad is included in the kit, for easy arming/disarming when coming or going from your house if you don't have access to your phone for any reason.There are additional features available with this alarm such as integration with Philips Hue and Amazon Alexa. Home security is probably something that you shouldn't scrimp on - but for the budget conscious consumer, an expandable home security alarm system with a relatively low price point for the base system seems like a superb idea. And it would be, if the system wasn't integrated with a buggy and unreliable app. The sad thing is - the build quality of the individual units within the system seems really good! The alarm is really loud and effective and it is super easy to install as long as you have very basic DIY skills. I also personally did not find any faults with the hardware - I have a cat and was initially concerned that I might get false positives on the motion detector,but they seem to be calibrated in such a way that pets are unlikely to set them off. The app, at least on android, can be a bit of a hindrance. The previous version of the app was almost faultless, but after an update for a sleeker looking UI and some expanded features, the app was almost totally broken - it has been improved upon, and at the time of writing seems to be 'mostly' fixed. The app store ratings have suffered as a result, but make sure to pay attention to reviews written in the last 6 months or so and not the ones from 2018 - that app is definitely not as bad as it was after the initial update but it STILL has issues. It can be a little temperamental and in all honesty is a frustrating experience. The are making constant updated to it so I would be reasonably confident that with further improvements to the app I could rate this 5 stars [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I got this product and was initially scared by how many parts were in the box and trying to get them all to sync up together (I've had other products that just wouldn't play nice in my home)I was very happy to find that everything was already synced together and it was just a case of making sure where I was placing the items worked with the location of the hub.The hub itself has a battery inside it as a backup and beeps to let you know that it's lost power and is running off it's internal battery (I do not know how long this lasts on battery power however) I've also got it synced up with my bedroom Philips Hue lights so that if anything is detected on the sensor that it'll wake us up with the light to let me know someone is in my home.This is one of the best features in any alarm system I've seen to date, a quiet light alarm to give you notification and then an external alarm to scare them off if your movement doesn't do it already!Everything seems to be working perfectly, I have two dogs that sleep in the livingroom at night so I do not have this PIR setup as the main alarm at night as I do not want to be scared half to death by my dogs moving sofa's for the cold pillow lolI have done a few tests with the system to make sure the detection and delay of the siren works, which it does perfectly.I would really recommend this product to anyone who has other smart home systems that will integrate with it and it will just round up the smart home for you into a great home. The alarm set looks modern and durable. Device Installation The alarm set comes with all the batteries, fittings and plugs and it literally took less than an hour to install them at the chosen positions.App Installation Step by step installation are available in the instruction booklet and through the Yale Home app. I installed the Yale Home app, created an account and followed the instruction provided by the app. This process is really simple and easy. UsageSetting up the alarm system is very simple as all the devices were pre-linked.Some customisation options are available via the app such as configuring the full arm and part arm setting, the entry and exit delay time and sound levels. The app only offers a full arm and part arm mode, so you cannot set multiple zone alarms for example. The alarm could then be armed and disarmed from the app on the phone or through the keypad provided. When the alarm is triggered, notifications are sent to the phone and/or email depending on the chosen options. There is also the geo-location option which reminds you to turn on the alarm when leaving the house. Overall A very good wireless alarm system which is easy to install and configure. The thought of installing a home alarm system was quite daunting, but Yale has made this as simple as possible, everything is wireless, so you can more or less get by without drilling any holes.The PIR sensors are shaped so that it can fit in a corner with two flat edges touching the corner, you can then use the provided tape to stick them in place. Alternatively, they will sit on a flat surface with the tape applied at the flat rear.The alarm box is a little more complicated but if you have an old system in place, you should be able to swap them over.You need to download the Yale Home App and set up your account.Prior to physically mounting everything, it is best to set the system up via your mobile and check it is all working.The hub requires an ethernet connection, and it also uses a DC 9V/1A plug rather than microUSB. With everything set up you need to pull all the tabs in the devices which gives them contact to their batteries.All the devices within the kit are pre-paired so allows faster installation. If you are adding additional sensors, you will need to follow the steps within the app which includes putting the hub into learn mode then pressing the buttons on the sensors to pair things up. Very clever alarm system, this is the future. I do not have to worry on holidays anymore, because I know what happens in and around my house. Thanks to smart technology and geolocation feature. I even cannot forget to set my alarm because this is impossible with Yale Home Alarm. The installation could be easy but they even have local Yale Smart Security Partners to help. The installation does not take more than one hour and you have one hub, two individual motion detectors and a door or window motion detector installed. There is a very easy to understand leaflet with lots of illustrations in the box. The whole system is wireless so the starter package contains the remote controller too.There are even more accessories to buy to make your home security system personalised. A great alarm system. My husband was able to set it up himself by following the included instructions which was a bonus as we did not have to pay someone to come and do it for us.Love the fact it is compatible with our amazon alexa as we use a lot of smart technology around the home and this fits right in. Text alerts available if the alarm is set off, we have not had this happen for real but did a test run and can confirm it works! I have also set reminders to alert myself and husband to arm the alarm. I am a bit of a safety nut so this makes me feel better knowing that anyone in the house is less likely to forget to set the alarm before leaving. It is also as simple as 'Alexa,ask yale smart to set the alarm!'. An all round great tool for anyone who wants that added security to their home. After my life situation changed and I’d be living alone with my children, I decided it was time to invest in some safety features for our home. I did quite a bit of research, on various different brands and systems however this was the one that seem to have the most features and seemed the best value. I’m so happy that I made the purchase! It was so easy to install and set up, so much so I was able to do it alone. There was enough parts for all the key areas in our home, and setting it up with our iPhones and Alexa was as simple as making a sandwich! Peace of mind is priceless and this alarm will give you just that. I feel so in control, I don’t worry too much when I am out and the technology has been completely trustworthy,such an intelligent product That still gives me full control when I’m not in the house! Really easy to set up. Can just stick the sensors, although i screwed them in. Already pre-linked together and if you but extra sensors they’re really easy to add to the system.Easy to arm and disarm and as yet after having it for a few weeks haven’t had any false alarms or poor connection issues and all the sensors have full signal strength.The only issue we’ve had at the minute is with using the keypad to arm or disarm as it seams to be either intermittent in its success or just doesn’t work, which isn’t too much of an issue for us as we were always looking to use the app but would’ve been a good backup just in case. Plus there’s no touch key fobs for this system only the big fobs with the buttons which don’t look as nice and take up more room on my keys.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Impressed with quality of the kit and I found the system pretty easy to get up and running. The instructions were clear and visual and the app is great. Great that all devices in the kit were already paired. No issues with the wireless either in a two story 3 bed. Needed to drill a few holes etc to get the different parts up around the house but nice that the fixings were included. The alarm for the front of the house is huge and looks great. There were also two security stickers in the box which are good for putting on windows as a bit of a deterrent. Alarm is very loud which is good. The biggest con is that it doesn't seem to be compatible with Google Home devices, which I prefer to Alexa.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So I was testing Yale Family Alarm System and Yale Smart Camera for few weeks now and the results are pretty good. Setup and installation was quite easy. After positioning all part and fixing just downloaded the app and synch all together with camera. camera was easy to connect just plug in the wall socket through usb which could be longer. Other minus is that if you installing camera outside you need bugger hole to fit through the usb other than that is cool. the Alarm system has couple of sensors, light, siren and hub. The sensors could be faster acting at night but other than that is good. Camera has pretty good night vision. This alarm kit is amazing!! We had been battling with the idea of having a security system installed in our home but due to costs and the amount of work and mess with dust etc involved, we decided not to bother. That is until this product was recommended to us! The alarm system is amazing! With each sensor being portable, we can move them to different rooms in the house meaning when our pet dog has the run of a particular room it’s not an issue. The alarm can be monitored from my phone which I love, the product is just so easy to use and so easy to install and use. I would suggest watching YouTube while completing installation as the instructions included are a little vague when following. The system itself was quite simple to install and was completed within a few hours by my partner as I admittedly have little patience for installing technical devices. He had little problems when installing. The wireless sensors are really good and sensitive to movement, for the price I would have expected to have seen a few more sensors included.
