Couldn't be easier to use - pop a PP3 battery (9V) in and it's ready to go. Slid it under or near a door and should someone open the door it shall block their ingress and emit an ear splitting alarm sound which genuinely hurts the ear. None but the most determined (or entirely deaf!) burglar would proceed. Very good price - similar items c.£9 - quick delivery. Can't fault it. A little extra peace of mind at little cost. Handy to take on travels if the hotel lock isn't sufficient for you.

My goodness! the alarm on this door stop is so piercingly loud, like a horrible electronic scream.As per instruction, I tested it before use and used a cloth to lessen the sound - but it was still loud.I used this on a bedroom door that had no latch. I was so worried about it accidentily going off in the night that I didn't sleep. Nevertheless, it works. Very effective.
