The only reason i purchased this was because it was on sale now that the gopro 3 has come out. Its a bit fiddly to put on, but once you've done it a few times its not a problem. It does give the gopro a bit more protection, not that it really needs it. I have a white ski helmet and have the gopro mounted on the side. Because the gopro is now white it does seem to blend in a bit more, not that it matters. The other factor, hard to measure though, is that it gives it a bit of insulation from the snow and cold which may prolong the battery life?!

Arrived promptly. Good quality product and makes the go pro hero 2 a little more resilient to bangs. The big thing for me, was to change the gopro to a black colour. WARNING... If you need to get to the charge socket or sd, it needs removing, which is a real gaff. I modified the case and it works fine

I purchased this cover to 'tone down' the GoPro's shiny silver look and it does just that! Helps to hide the camera in whatever mounting option one uses. And yes its hard-ish to put on or take off which why it missed the fifth star.
