I bake a lot. This being a Vicarage or Clergy house, muffins, cupcakes etc. are always in demand for everything from our Monday Welcome coffee mornings to the Mothers’ Union knees up and sundry other events. It’s not a requirement of any kind, I just enjoy baking.My current project is several dozen mincemeat or Christmas muffins for our Christmas market, you don’t really need to know this but it does give me the perfect opportunity to try this tray out.So far I’ve done one dozen with paper cases and one without and I must say the bake is good and even. The tin is sturdy with gratifyingly deep wells and useful handles. It comes with a plastic cover that can be used to store cooled cakes in the tin (obviously not warm ones as that would cause condensation!).

Super sturdy baking tin.My wife has used this tin a few times now and it's non-stick qualities are brilliant - which is great for me because we divide the labour. Generally my wife does the cooking and I assist and as the junior ranking member of the kitchen it's down to me to wash the tools of the trade as they appear.It is a well made tin and even in a very hot oven there was no twisting, helping to achieve an even bake. And our twin grandchildren can attest too when they descend like ravenous scavengers on their stay over nights.There are a couple of design features that are worthy of a mention. This is a 12 cup muffin pan which also comes with a deep plastic cover - useful if you're a regular contributor to bake sales, children's parties or just like sharing your baking efforts at work or with family. It means you can transport your cakes safely in the pan, or if you're short of cake storage tins, you can also temporarily store your muffins in the pan.We're not the best bakers in the world - as can be seen by the evidence in the photo - but our efforts are usually edible and we managed to make a reasonable batch of apricot muffins in the tin (even if I did slightly misjudge the quantities of mixture needed for each muffin).Had no problems getting the muffins out (it is a non-stick tin)

The Wilton Recipe Right Covered Muffin tin is a 12-hole baking tray, very nicely made with no rough edges. The cavities are muffin-size, not cupcake and it looks an impressive addition to my kitchen. It is nicely heavy for its size and has a plastic cover that clips over the whole tray, meaning you can protect your muffins from marauders, either human or flies. The cover is a very snug fit so when you remove it from a trayful of goodies, mind you don't flirt the muffins onto the floor.The tray doesn't warp with the oven heat and the short edges of the tray are rounded, not square as is usual. The blurb on the packaging tells me this is to stop the tray slipping from my hands, even when I wear oven mitts,

A must if you like cooking muffins or sponge cakes. I love this set up as you get the tin for baking twelve muffins or sponge cakes but also the lid that protects them and keeps them fresh. Non stick and it is I’ve made many a muffin and not one has stuck also the tray doesn’t feel like it will bend or wobble when the muffins are in it and placing into the oven. Then after cooked and cooled the lid can go on and they can be transported safely. Doesn’t take much room up even with the lid and when not in use means that the tray itself keeps cleaner. Nothing worse if not used for a while then finding a spider in your baking trays I know from experience and with this that shouldn’t happen.

This is a aluminium muffin tin which is strong and sturdy to bake muffins or cup cakes in. The mounds are deep enough for the muffins to firm up and rise, and the same for cup cakes.My granddaughter has a birthday in a few days so this tin will be fantastic to make the muffins in and now the nightmare of transporting them is a thing of the past with this fabulous lid. They are safe from sliding and the topping on the cakes is protected too. A brilliant piece of kit which I know is going to make me wonder how I managed without this for so long. Worth five stars for the lid alone.

As far as muffin tins go, this one is extremely well made, and offers great flexibility of use.On first use the tray is great for medium-sized buns or muffins. The non-stick is very good, and the tray is chunky and solid. The convenience of not having to transfer the cakes out of the tray once cooked is a great idea. The lid locks in place really well, for an air tight fit.If, like myself with a small kitchen, you are space conscious, anything that will save storage in the kitchen cupboards is ideal. So the fact that this doubles up as a cake box is a genius idea.

I love baking muffins and other cupcakes so I was pleased to receive this tin.I am really impressed with it. It is really heavy duty and seems like it will last a long time if looked after appropriately.The non stick cover is great and I have baked a couple of times now and had no problems.The holes are a good size and create a nice shape on my bakes.It is easy to clean. You can put it in the dishwasher but I prefer to handwash my tins as I think it makes them last longer. The plastic cover is also handy for keeping it clean.

Great size for muffins - unless you like really large 'other' cakes etc! It is also very easy to keep clean. To be honest the plastic lid gets very little use here as we usually remove the muffins on to a wire cooling rack but someone out there may have a use for the lid!A good isze, it is well made and has a very nice, easy to clean surface coating.First of this brand we have tried and we are pleased to recommend it. Over time we may be able to increase its star rating but, at this stage, we'll reserve 'full' judgement.

This conducts well - cupcakes took 11 minutes to make, but also cooled quickly. It's never taken me less than 45 mins all in to prep, bake, cool and ice, but I managed the lot in 33 minutes!! Yes, I baked after work, and for once not from a packet mix.Best of all is the minimal washing up, and the handiness of not having to look for something in which to store and/or carry the contents. The only negative is that this is quite bulky, and a collapsible cover would've been... the icing on the cupcakes for me.

Nothing out of the ordinary for the tray itself, good quality muffin tray and does what it should.The advantage of this tray is the lid which can be clipped on underneath for storage or placed on top to conceal your cupcakes or muffins. It’s worth mentioning that it won’t clip on when placed on the top, only the bottom. Just be sure to realise this when picking up the tray when he plastic is on top.Quality tray that will hold up to 12 cakes/muffins which cleans very easily.

This is such a good tin for baking muffins and the like. It's a standard 12 cake size with a really good non-stick finish. I'm finding it's best handwashed. The best thing about this is that it has a plastic cover which fits over the top is you are wanting to transport your finished, cooled cakes and slots on the bottom for easy storage. It's a really clever idea!I think this is great value too - it's guaranteed for five years and seems really well made. Love it.

This is a good solid tin for making muffins/cupcakes. It feels well made and is much heftier than some we've bought from supermarkets etc. I love the idea of the lid - it's great for storage - but it bent out of shape after the first wash. Not ideal. I also find the lid very fiddly to get off once it's on. It's good that the tin is dishwasher proof and the muffins come out pretty well too. WIll get lots of use in our kitchen, and I suspect it will last for years.

Nice big non-stick tin that's the perfect size for individual muffins and Yorkshire puddings. Also made individual coddled egg and salmon rounds for breakfast and brunch. Easy to clean even baked apples and mincemeat. The construction seems to be very robust. I've yet to find a use for the plastic cover since nothing I've cooked has lasted long enough to need storage. It all gets eaten!

It was the perfect cupcake tin size! It has a nice plastic cover too. I found it quite tricky to remove the cover at one point. This covered muffin tin would be much better if it has a handle on the cover so it would be easier to remove and convenient to be carried as well. I would recommend this tin if you want the perfect cupcake size!
