I purchased mine in Dec 2012 and unfortunately the mechanism has broken in the past few days. I did try to mend the plastic mount with superglue but it was nigh on impossible getting access. It lasted 8 years so I can’t grumble really.I do love the style so I’m really disappointed it’s broken. It cost £150 new so I don’t think £18.75 per year for a bin is too much of a waste (pardon the pun!).Two more things that really disappointed me on receiving the bin and mentioned in some of the reviews is the plastic handles and foot pedal which are made of plastic made to look like chrome. Within days of ownership I cleaned said handles and foot pedal with an anti bac wipe which also removed the chrome

I love this bin. As a bin it is phenomenally expensive but as a fashion accessory for my kitchen it's just great. The design is clever, the appearance contemporary and fun and everyone who has seen it is dead jealous! I moved into a newly refurbished house which was frankly a beige blizzard and I wanted to introduce some colour. This fits the bill perfectly.

Our second of ths type of bin the first having worn out, old age nothing wrong! Great mecahnism, no need to touch the bin to put things in & kids love using it too because it's "fun"! When the first one broke we did look around at others but could find nothing to compare. Looks great, hygenic, funtional - what more could one ask for from a bin?!

Shiny and glamorous! Not even looks like a garbage bin! Looks perfect, attracts the eye, non-touch opening obviously a plus.Only thing I didn't expect/like is the plastic pedal... although seems heavy-duty, it's still made of plastic, why?Anyway, in total very satisfied.

Well when you have a new kitchen the last thing you want is a poor quality looking bin. We had to get a replacement due to a few minor flaws in the first one, but more than happy once replaced.It looks the part, but just remember not to throw away the elastic band!

Bin is great, beautiful easy to use, so nice not having to lift a lid. Reason it only got 4 stars was due to the delivery. It was just left outside the building as we weren't in. Would have preferred to have to go collect it from a depot than risk it being stolen.

this is the second bin purchased, not closing properly gap at back, i sent it back, received this one with the same issue, am i being fussyi would expect a perfect closing for the cost of item, still haven't decided weather to return again

beautiful craftsmanship, the perfect bin for everyone, looks fabulous functions with precision and a joy to own one after years of only dreaming about it. Excelletn price only on amazon , next day delivery.

Nice heavy construction, well made kitchen bin. Bought this as a daily deal so blown away by its quality and VFM. Study pedal and secure closure and big bin design means less emptying. Easy wipe clean.

Design and function! But the plastic handles on the side are a detail which disturbs the balance of the retro design and quality finish! On the whole it's a good size, practical product!

I had an orange one before, but needed a white one after having a new kitchen. Love it as it has been slightly modified with a soft close lid and it’s easier to clean in side.

What a great bin. Looks great in the kitchen. Arrived much earlier than the estimated end date so very pleased that I didn't have to wait too long. Good packaging. Love it

I love this bin, had it about 6 weeks now and it has transformed the room !! Lovely and bright and as the lid has a brilliant seal you don't smell the rubbish.

This is our third one and they do not break but the rim becomes dirty and rusts. Could with a spare rubber band. Lovely design and good looking!

Very stylish, good quality, highly recommend for the way the opening tightly closes stopping any aromas escaping. Easy to keep clean.
