I bought this a couple weeks back as an upgrade to the Cintiq 13HD, which I bought for the same price four years ago.The pros:Screen size - you definitely notice the size difference. I’m now happy with having Photoshop open with my canvas and a reference image side-by-side and not feel cramped.Screen quality - it’s the same resolution as the 13HD, but the light is a lot better and you now have various settings for brightness and temperatureCable management - the connector is stored safely in the back so now you have no issues knocking it outPower button position - it’s on the front and easier to press, it’s minor but does make a differenceMore levels of pressure - at first it was a bit weird to draw on this,as it took a lot of pressure to get to full opacity - but after tweaking the curve in settings I have found it to be very good. It makes drawing a lot more responsive and smoother with my old brushes.Cons:Colour range - working in grey you can see it veering towards green, whereas I felt the Cintiq 13HD was going more towards red... it’s not too bad, but I did read the range was less on this than the 13HD - maybe it’s just me though! The built-in stand - love the design of the flip out feet, but it only provides one angle and if you’re painting for many hours it’s not great for your back or neck. I recommend the Wacom stand that you can buy separately - it is over priced, but definitely makes a difference and is better than the stand that came with the 13HDNo express keys - this is the one major fault, as I was so used to them on the 13HD. I am getting used to using keyboard shortcuts, but it’s still annoying. I might have to fork out for a remote, but that is super expensive!Overall - I am very happy with this, if you’re coming from a graphics tablet like a Bamboo or Intuos then do it!! If you’re coming from a Cintiq 13HD then also do it!

I decided to go with the 16 rather than the 16 pro because I don't personally need 4k or the touch capabilities.I have used an intous pro for around a year and before that an old wacom bamboo fun for about 4 years. This thing is so amazing to draw on, there is a noticeable difference moving on to a screen tablet. It's much faster to get your lines down, you can go over lines to make them thicker like lining on paper and you don't have to zoom in and out as much. I can really get a sense that this is going to speed up my production of work over the next 3 years. The lack of hotkeys is a bit of a blow but I have set the pen keys to be control - z and space (to move around when zoomed in)The pen is a bit scratchy at first, i thought i was damaging the screen (I wasn't) but i think that was just the nib smoothing down to the way I use it. It sucks but I would recommend the stand as you are more than likely going to want to change positions when working for several hours.Pros-It's wacom, they've always been reliableThe cost, yes it's more than other brands such as huion but again...it's wacomThe screen is large but not to the point of it taking over your deskThe Pen included is the same one as in the more expensive modelsCons-No hot keys on the tablet itselfYou're probably going to need a standUnless you really need the 4k capability I would honestly recommend this to anyone in any field just down to the fact it is so rewarding and satisfying to use. Just proves I won't go to anyone else by Wacom.

Important part is that it's a wacom product. You could 100% get away with a Huion or XP-pen tablet if you're looking at this price range. I would think a proper design studio would probably want to go for the Pro line with its glass screen etc.FOR LINUX USERS: I use mine with Ubuntu 18.04 instead of windows or OSX and I /CANNOT REGISTER IT FOR THE ONLINE WARRANTY/. That might be important for a few people. You have to register it through the official wacom desktop app that is not released on linux. I've had no running issues with it though and it was just plug and play with the updated wacom for linux drivers that are out there. I would also want to mention that without the app on windows/mac,because there are no hardware buttons on this Cintiq, you can't change the screen brightness (and it seems quite dim by default). I have a quite dark work area so it's fine for me but might be problematic for others. You might be able to connect it to a windows/mac platform and change the settings there and it might be persistent but I haven't had a chance to test this out.

I am an Illustrator and this tablet has changed so much about the way that I work, it is really excellent and is lovely to draw on. There is a bit of tinkering with it to get the cursor matching up to the point of the stylus, also the screen colour isn't quite exact to my laptop - my laptop has been colour calibrated, but I'm not able to get the two matching exactly, but I just make sure I frequently refer to my laptop to check colours as I'm working - the Wacom tablet is slightly more vivid in it's colours. The only other irritation is the little legs which hold the tablet up at an angle when you are working - they frequently collapse. This is a definite design flaw which I think could be easily remedied with a little re-design.Also, I have seen one or two reviews about the surface looking scratched after use - yes it does sometimes, but a gentle wipe with a soft dry cloth and the scratches totally disappear and leave the screen looking like new, so it's not a worry. Overall this is a great drawing tablet and I would get it again.

i had an awful experience trying to order this product from the wacom webpage... waiting for the product and a refund for months and bad customer service. I finally decided to purchase it from amazon and got it delivered within few days. It was essential for my university projects and I'm pleased with the result. I've decided to not invest too much money and therefore not go for the professional version, as I read about not working products and bad customer service in reviews. so far i am lucky and don't regret anything about my choice.it is important to know that the tablet alone can't do much, if one doesn't know how to use drawing softwares like photoshop or sketchbook etc. Also, this model needs to be connected to a computer, it works as a second screen you can draw onto. This detail comes in handy, as for my kind of projects the wacom doesn't only work as a drawing tablet but gives me the opportunity of a second screen, but some might prefer a drawing tablet that works without cables and computers

UPDATE: To spend over £500 and not be worthy of a plastic holder is a bit cheap in my opinion. It would have been nice to have a proper pen holder than the fiddly fabric version. And the other niggle is to not get a decent stand with it. Buying a proper stand is another £80 (ish) and that's annoying.ORIGINAL THOUGHTS: It took me a few years of wanting one of these and trying every cheaper alternative from the cheaper Wacom devices, simulating a cintiq with iPad apps like Astro and Duet as well as even buying a cheaper 'cintiq' style tablet a couple of years ago but nothing comes close to the real thing! This is gorgeous in every way and it works absolutely superbly with minimal set-up and with every app I've used it with since placing it on my desk.Thank you Wacom for making an affordable 'entry level' display tablet for use by people like me on a limited budget that actually does exactly what it says on the box. I absolutely love it. Nothing less than 5 stars across the board!

I had been looking around for a while for mid-priced cintiq and this one seemed the most reasonably priced for the size. Only had it a few days and am in love with it. Very responsive and comfortable to use. The colours on the screen are a bit warmer compared to my laptop monitor and the display isn't quite as crisp but overall I'm still satisfied. I was surprised that it came with uk and euro outlet plug which was a nice extra if I ever want to take it abroad. I got the device without the stand. I personally find the in-build legs give enough of an angle but it depends on your working style. Only real downside was I had to buy a vga to hdmi converter as my laptop only has a vga port.(my laptop is quite old) Wacom don't sell these so I had to use a third party. It didn't cost much so wasn't too much trouble.8/10

After setting it up and using the cables provided plus, in my case, a thunderbolt 2 cable to HDMI, it worked straight off the second time I turned it on. On my MacBook Air, I used system preferences, Display to use mirrored display to see a match on the pad and on the computer. Made it easier for me to get into it.I use it with Photoshop. Nice clear colours. Also found it nice and clear with large print for writing emails too, something I had not expected. M only difficulty has been getting used to the new photoshop. There are other programs that are simpler and can be bought outright, but PS does a very sophisticated job. Very happy with this product and the support was excellent by chat, when a cable was not pushed in properly, even given lockdown! Very logical analysis and clear instructions.

I bought this item as I wanted a good quality drawing package. This brand was the best on the market. But very expensive. I wanted to have a tablet I could carry around. But this Software only comes with large screen's and needs a computer to save your work too. The cable from the screen to your laptop fits very awkward. And you would not want to keep unplugging it. If I had not waisted money buying an touch screen Laptop, I could have bought the more expensive version. I watched Videos of the item. It's a pity I could not try before I bought. There are so many features I have not explored them all yet.

The Wacom Cintiq 16inch after 4 months of use, has honestly left me feeling happy to have made the purchase.Whilst I will update this review further down the line should any issues arise, the tablet has exceeded my expectations.Drawing on the screens surface feels very smooth, the parallax is small and the pen this device comes with handles great. This model is a bit expensive for beginners so I'd recommend a huion Q11 for those eager to move into digital Art. ????

12.1.2020

Bought this in the sales for £100 less so definitely value for money. Only just getting into digital art. Works really well with Corel painter or essentials. Pen sensitivity is excellent. Good size screen. If you’re just getting into digital art this is a good tablet for a reasonable price.

Purchased this for my Daughter's 18th Birthday. She loves it and exactly what she needed for her college media course. The screen resolution is awesome and works directly with Adobe Photoshop, and money other programs. It's a great piece of kit if you're into media design.

10.10.2019

Exactly what I wanted having used it for months now I can safely say its quality, no scratches so definitely no protector needed ,if you're worried about scratching the screen just turn your sensitivity up guysss! Brilliant piece of equipment!

21.3.2019

Excellent bit of kit. Affordable. I’m a hobby digital painter, so it’s ideal for my needs.
