I purchased one of the early Wacom tablets (way back when) and thought I'd test out a far newer version. After a couple of weeks of use, I'm not entirley sure of the niche this aims at. Yes it's small and portable, so if you have the need to sketch, draw or polish photos on the move then a this small pen tablet may well be ideal. The move to BlueTooth connectivity offers two benefits, the most obvious being wireless allows you to use the tablet in a variety of positions and gives greater freedom from mishaps without the hazard of cables. Secondly, such connectivity allows for a wider range of products to connect to it, Mac, Windows, laptop, tablet etc.Installation of software is rather cumbersome. The interface is not very clear and ultimately, you choose two of three software titles that match your needs. These products are primarily designed for mice, with fiddly icons and menus, which are not intuitively used with the pen tablet. The pen's buttons replace mouse buttons however in some cases I found using the mouse to be more effective. You need quite a bit of practice with hovering - not touching the tablet surface when moving the pen, to move the pointer. But practice makes. Leaning your hand on the tablet whilst using he pen has no effect, so it's comfortable enough. Considering these pieces of software are aimed at mouse control, I would think that the larger Wacom tablet is far more suitable since they're likely to be used either at home or in the office. This is why I first mentioned that this product has a smaller niche. For the entry level product in the range it will also be more attractive to budget conscious consumers, as well as younger artists. The supplied software doesn't really match those demographics. The packaged software is certainly not child friendly (the electronic tablet market) and new users will have to have patience with the Corel apps. Corel produce amazing software, full of options, however I have never found them very easy to learn. Made harder here, since there are many options that need payment to unlock in some of them. I would have preferred simpler software, which was complete. This is a price thing, ensuring the tablet price remains as low as possible. You are certainly paying for the technology, not the software and serious designers or semi-professionals will have software any way. That said, with some patience, the Coral Painter program can unlock the power of the tablet, allowing for natural freehand design. It's great that the pen requires no charging or batteries. This keeps it lightweight and is not tethered to the tablet in any way. There is a place to store it on the tablet which is also very handy. I miss having an eraser though.I'm somewhere between three and four stars. The quality is what you would expect from Wacom and Corel, however the Wacom hub is ropey. The new features (BlueTooth, lightweight pen etc) push me to like it more than not though.

First impressions were very favourable - the packaging was of a very high standard - I was already impressed.I have used a Samsung Galaxy Note (2014) every day - it has an S-Pen which I use with a variety of Graphic Apps.I bought a Huion Tablet a few years ago but was a bit intimidated by the number of buttons and the set-up process; consequently it's been in a cupboard unused for years. The Wacom in comparison is fairly easy to set up and can be used with a USB cable (included) or via bluetooth - if your PC has a bluetooth card (if it hasn't a bluetooth Dongle/USB adaptor comes relatively cheap). For me it's a bit of a learning curve as the Wacom Pen/Stylus is about 3 or 4 times the size of the S-Pen but still manages to to keep it's weight down very well. The Pen has 2 buttons which can be assigned a host of functions (brush size, eraser, magnify, scroll etc.) The same goes for the 4 buttons on the top of Graphics Pad itself (4 buttons is a nice manageable number) the Wacom software, downloaded from their website, allows for a great amount of customisation and calibration of both the Pen and Tablet. I found the 'walk through' set-up videos on the Wacom site very useful, along with a number of easy to follow tutorials on how to get the best out of the interface - together these made the process a whole lot easier. It's probably because I'm not used to the buttons on the Pen yet - but I found myself using the 4 on the Tablet - and what I'm still getting used to is the act of hovering over the Tablet surface and being able to move and scroll an image (Pen not touching) but if you hover too high there is no response - but it's just practice no doubt.A big bonus are the 3 pieces of Software which are downloadable after you have registered; Corel Painter Essentials, Clip Studio and After Shot - the price of these together is just short of £90! Painter and the less well known Clip Studio (formerly Manga Studio) are amazing programs. As for use with other software I tried the Wacom with the digital sculpting program ZBrush and a similar piece of software 3D-Coat and was very impressed again. I've watched a lot of tutorials where the tutors tool of choice is a Graphics Tablet and Pen and I can see, after only a couple of attempts, why this is their preferred option; as the Wacom, with it's vast levels of sensitivity, gives much more control than the average mouse can and after a little practice I would guess the Graphics Tablet would indeed be the Artists most effective means of transferring their skills to the digital medium. Highly recommended.

This Wacom 10” tablet is slim and lightweight. It comes with an electric pen, cable to connect to a PC/laptop and minimal instructions. The instructions really only indicated to visit the Wacom website so after I had connected the tablet to my laptop via the cable, I went to wacom.com and set up an account. You don't need to set up an account but without one you won't benefit from the free software included. I followed the instructions for a Windows driver download and restarted my laptop. I was then set up and ready to use. It is also set up for Bluetooth if you don't want to use the cable, just check your device is Bluetooth as well. There are three software programs included – Corel Painter Essentials 6,Corel Aftershot 3 and Clip Studio Paint Pro. I didn't want to get bogged down with learning all three programs so I downloaded the Corel Painter and put electric pen to plastic tablet. The pen itself comes with four refills, one already inserted and three spares within the screw top body of the pen. They aren't ink refills, I presume that with use on the tablet they just wear down. It all works just as it should but I have a lot of practise before I can produce a masterpiece shown on the box. It feels strange to start with, hovering above the tablet draws as well as sweeping on the tablet but with different results – it all just takes getting used to. I went to YouTube and watched some tutorials which are very helpful in what to expect from different mediums – pencil, charcoal, watercolour, spray paint etc. It's all very fun getting used to how it works and using colours and different paper textures. For a budding artist or if you need to do a spot of artwork or alter images for fun or small workplace, this is an excellent tablet to start with. It's small enough to carry around with a laptop and would slot alongside a laptop in a bag/rucksack for students or workers. It might be too small for professionals and a larger tablet may suit better.

This is a great entry-level drawing tablet. It has a good weight to it and looks like it’s been well-made rather than looking cheap and plasticky. It’s a small drawing tablet (aprox 19.8cm x 15.8cm) and it’s also quite thin (about 5mm). You get a Wacom stylus included for use with the tablet. Neither the tablet or the stylus have a cover included so you need to be careful, especially with the stylus nib.Set up is really easy and only takes a few minutes following the on screen instructions. I plugged the tablet into my Mac during setup, using the USB charging cable provided. Bluetooth pairing with my Mac only took seconds. You get the option of downloading some free software during the setup process. My favourite was Painter Essentials 6 as this includes different brush tools and effects to help get you started with drawing and doodling with the tablet. There’s also software geared towards photo editing and comic book & manga drawing. You can only choose two of the three software programs on offer so choose wisely! The tablet is responsive and accurate most of the time but isn’t as pressure-sensitive as I would like. I’ve been mostly using it for quick sketching, writing and more detailed drawing for graphic design, using the free software included along with Adobe Photoshop which I had already. If you’ve never used a drawing tablet before, it will take a bit of practice to get the hang of, especially if you’re trying to draw something that requires precision and a steady hand.Overall a good product which does what it’s supposed to. It’s not going to be as sensitive or as quick and responsive as a professional level product that you would pay hundreds or thousands of pounds for but it’s a good quality product and a really great way to try out digital hand-drawing to see if it’s something you really need and will definitely use, before investing a lot of money into something more powerful.

The bluetooth version can be use wirelessly or connected using the USB cable included in the package.other than the software that were suggested for downloading, it can also be use for other programme such as adobe photoshop, onenote for note taking and many others are also supported. The tablet can be seen as a replacemtn of a keyboard and the pen is a mouse. Once get use to the feeling it is very simple to control. The pen nib can be wear out quite quickly if you draw a lot but there is 3 replacement nibs included which will last for a long time. Extra replacement nibs can also be purchases with a reasonable price. When i draw, i tape the nip of the pen so it doesn't wear out too quickly.and it doesn't feel much difference from not taping. The screen synced well with the table without delay and everything run smoothly.I am a tatal beginner for using graphic tablet and i found this tablet very friendly for beginners. For the free software i chose Clip Studio Paint and Corel Painter Essential, CSP works fine and looks professional but Corel Painter Essentials was unable to download on my macbook as it was not supported by mac version 10.12.6 which is a bit disapointed.Overall this is a very nice graphic tablet, easy to carry around but needed to connect to a laptop/computers before it can be used. It is very suitable and friendly for beginners like me and i highly recommend this product.

Anyone who knows anything about graphics tablets will tell you that Wacom are basically the kings of this type of product, and there's good reason for that. This is just one more great tablet from them. Now, I'm not a professional at all; just someone who likes to play around, and this tablet is perfect for me. It's compact and neat, and the build quality is great. It's super simple to set up and use, and there's even a choice between Bluetooth and USB depending on how you want to use it. I've got it plugged into my PC, but I tested the Bluetooth and it connected to my laptop with no problems. Now I'd guess that if you are someone who wants to use this for professional work then you might want to get a larger size, but for a beginner, amateur, or professional on the move, this is perfect. In fact, I have a friend who works as a graphic designed, and when I mentioned that I had this, she told me that she had actually just bought the same one and loved it, so you're getting two recommendations for the price of one here.

This is a perfect tablet if you are just starting out with them! I used to have a Wacom Bamboo but unfortunately they have been discontinued I believe. I upgraded to an Intuos Pro Large but found that it was cumbersome to set up and use with my small desk, so I figured I would buy a smaller tablet.I wasn’t disappointed! The tablet is a perfect size for someone with limited desk space, and anyone who also uses their keyboard for shortcuts etc, and their mouse all at the same time. The desktop range seems to be good and installing the drivers was a piece of cake! If you don’t enjoy having wires attached to your computer accessories there is a Bluetooth version.Note: Some windows 7 users (like myself)may experience permissions errors if the tablet isn’t connected and the drivers try to run, this isn’t an issue with the tablet at all but a general windows 7 error which can be easily fixed with a simple google search of said error.

I've been using Wacom brand graphic tablets for my job (graphic design) and at home instead of a standard mouse for over 12 years now and they really are the industry leaders. Even this small sized one is perfectly capable of handling any project that I undertake. The functionality and customization options are excellent as are the ergonomc benefits (I originally started using a graphics tablet after years of mouse clicking started to give me repetitive strain injury). I got the wireless version, which was straightfoward to connect via bluetooth. The internal battery life isn't spectacular (I get about a day and a half of solid work before it prompts me to recharge)but you get a USB cable and can continue to work while charging. All in all, if you're thinking of getting a tablet, don't go for the cheap options, spend a bit more and treat yourself to a Wacom.

This item arrived just at the right time for us. We are currently building a house and in that connection, we want to make drawings and comments etc. on plans/photos etc to ease the communication with our architect and builders as they are in a different country. Whereas that is possible on mobile apps and with a standard computer setup, our limits for writing and marking anything precisely with a mouse or pointed finger were quickly shown and this is where this pen tablet comes in handy. It is so easy to set up and then just start drawing, commenting etc. - like you would on a piece of paper.I think it is clear from the above that we are not specialist users in any capacity, but it has eased our use so much.Once the dust settles after this big project, I'm sure we will be able to spend more time using it for editing photos etc.Recommended

I think this is a really good addition to my computing world. It is a terrific little graphics tablet that helps me loads. I have health problems that prevent me from being able to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time but this allows me to be in a more comfortable position and write what I want to put in to a computer program instead of sit up and type it in. Perfect. It was a bit of a faff around to install it but it installed after a couple of attempts. There are two programs that can be downloaded to use with the tablet. Size wise I think it's too small for graphics artists, being just A5 in size, but for any other reason I think it's fine. It picks up the stylus easily and smoothly and is easy to use.I'm delighted with it.

I have always used Wacom and have never been dissapointed with the overall feel and build quality of thier products. Thier pens are always accurate and thier pressure sensitivity has always been spot on. The battery on the Intuos is amazing. Can easily sit through 2-3 drawing sessions of 3/4 hours at a time before needing to charge it. Not having the cable there is much more comfortable. My only bug bear as will all drawing tablets is the fact they continue to use plastic pen nibs which inevitabley end up marking the tablets surface after a peroid of time. If like me you move your drawing around and tend to use the tablet very centrally the wear does become more noticble quicker. But overall great drawing tablet and would recommend.

I am a Linux Mint user. I got a Wacom tablet because I had read these are the only ones that have native linux support. One thing I want to clarify is that the maker itself does not provide linux drivers, however it does redirect you to the github page that provides these. Linux Mint does in fact have pre-installed the drivers, however I had to update one or two of them in order to get it to work. However, after trying for several hours, I could not get the tablet settings to recognize the buttons, and I had to change the settings for them manually from the terminal. All in all, it will work, it is a good product, but you might find it is not as easy to get it to work on your linux distribution as you might have expected.

I haven't had a drawing tablet before, so I was a bit unsure whether I should get one. Having finally bitten the bullet and purchased this, I wish I'd bought one sooner! It makes digital drawing a hell of a lot easier, and I haven't had any issues with it at all! It's also managed to survive being dropped a few times, and I can bring it around with me where-ever I might need in my bag without worrying about it being damaged, which is a bit of a relief! This tablet can survive a clumsy owner!I bought the small, and the size is perfectly good in my opinion, there's enough room to draw properly on it.The free software is nice, and I do use it occasionally, but I feel it works best with Paint Tool SAI.

This is a nice looking tablet that comes in good packaging. It's a good size - not too big or too small. My daughter compared it with her older tablet and she says that it is more pressure sensitive, which makes it easier to draw in a more natural way. It comes with extra nibs, with instructions on how to replace them too. It's easier to transport as the cable detaches. It has 4 buttons which can be programmed to which ever shortcut keys you like which can be really handy. The installation was straightforward and the instructions were clear. Some tablets don't use the full screen, but this one does, which makes it easier to use.

It's a good, easy-to-use product. I'm very new to digital art so I had no idea what to expect but it's been great. Had a bit of trouble getting the software for it - I think I installed the tablet onto the computer before getting the other downloadable stuff off the website, so I haven't had the chance to use the programs mentioned on the box. Although it did say that I could still download after installing...Still, I'm not dissatisfied. The pen does tend to get stuck every once in a while - the pointer on-screen won't move, but this doesn't happen very often and I've found it to be a great experience overall.
