I had one particular problem with the Rift that was driving me up the wall - they kept fogging-up. Whatever position I placed them on my face, I didn't seem to be able to effectively overcome this problem. Having read some reviews I thought I'd give this cover a try.My immediate reaction upon opening the package was that I could not believe how much I had paid for two relatively thin pieces of soft material. I was tempted to send them back before even trying it. I felt cheated. As several reviewers have said the instructions were pretty poor. Initially I thought I had been sent the wrong covers. The instructions kept mentioning the "interface" and I didn't have a clue what they were talking about. The picture didn't look like the Rift. I thought they were talking about a different VR unit. Only after 15 minutes of getting nowhere, and again on the verge of sending them back, I realised that you could pull the "interface" off the Rift. The instructions then made sense. For the absurd amount of money we're paying for these things you would expect them to include decent instructions. The fit is poor. They are secure but the ends of the covers just seem to flap around, although that doesn't affect their performance. Sometimes, especially if I am taking the Rift on and off several times, the material can sometimes obscure one of the lenses, although it really is not a problem adjusting it, just a slight inconvenience. Finally, and despite all the negatives about this over-priced, ill-fitting bit of kit, it actually DOES stop the Rift fogging-up. I have not experienced fogging since using the cover. Also, the Rift is more comfortable with the cover on. So would I fork out a ridiculous amount of money for a couple of bits of soft cloth again if I needed another Rift cover. Well, unless something else comes onto the market, I probably would. They do the one task I bought them to do, namely the fogging issue.

Bought for £19. Ok it’s a bit pricey as others have said. However you do get two so you can install one while you wash the other (you can put your headset back together with the other one and don’t need to take it apart again if you want to play in the meantime)For me, the price is worth it. It’s well designed, fits really well and in fact, rather than detracting from the look and aesthetic it actually makes the rift nicer. The cotton just looks better than foam. The instructions are ok, I think they’ve described quite well what to do but it does leave a bit to work out. Once you pull the insert of your rift out, it’s pretty obvious how to loop the loops around the top. The nose part is a bit less obvious.I initially pulled the nose part too far round and couldn’t get the insert back in properly, then I had a look and saw there is a small rim that the nose part can wrap around. It’s not a lot but once the insert is back in I think it just about pinches it in place.Overall, I’m very happy, it’s an accurate fit, well made, looks nice and doesn’t interfere with the experience.£19 is probably the limit of value, £14 would be a fairer price but I’m ok having paid £19.

The cover is excellent, and does as it says. It is the nature of the Rift that it is hard not to have two loose bits of fabric near the nose area. However, all though this feels like it might be a problem, it isn't. It works. My only regret, is that I should have paid a little more and got the replacement visor from the same company. I'm only giving 4 stars here, and it seems a little unfair, as I would encourage people to pay a little more and go for the wipe-clean replacement visor option.Having said that, I will say that the fabric cover is easy to fit, as long as you check the instructions, and works well in protecting the original foam. It is comfortable, and if you merely want to prevent sweat getting into the foam, and you find it otherwise comfortable, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. It is also cheaper than the other options!

Contains 2 covers which fit the Rift face insert quite well with a little fiddling to get a nice fit.It is nicely finished, matches the Rift headset well and is nicely tailored to fit the face pad frame.Once on is very comfortable and does not obstruct vision in any way. seems to help hold my glasses in place also.Re-clipping the face mask frame back in the headset is a bit fiddly, but that is an Oculus Rift issue.Edit:-It looks as if the product has been improved, it now connects across the nose, this might make it easier to fit.I'm still using the old design, these have now been though many washes without any issues, Defiantly does the job well.Price still an issue, but alternatives are no cheaper.I've raised my rating to 4 stars.

Extends game play by making the Rift more comfortable for me as the standard foam contact would always make my face ache after only half an hour and sweat was also a problem.I personally find the VR Cover feels slightly cooler, reducing sweating and relieves the pressure on my brow. They really should be included with the Rift as it improves the comfort of the experience and will keep your Rift hygienic (imagine how that foam will smell in a year or so).For the price I would have liked to buy one at a time for half the cost, but I have no problem with the actual unit cost as they are very well made and are chump change compared to the price of the Rift in the first place.

Great product. Makes wearing the Rift CV1 so much more comfortable. I was indecisive about purchasing this product as not sure it was worth £19 for a pair but after using them I have to conclude it's a game changer for the Rift and makes it so much more comfortable to wear for hours on end compared to just using the Rift with the foam face piece. It also helps to absorb sweat and is great if others use your Rift too as you can just throw the dirty cover in the wash afterwards and change to a clean one.Good fit too although the nose bit is ever so slightly fiddly to get perfect and sometimes need adjustment.Definitely gets a 10 outta 10 from me.

It’s cool but overpriced for what it actually is. I understand that this company is one of the few who are actually making these type of accessories, I respect that... but it’s very costly (at this time) to be charging that much. However, using this cover I have added small foam pads to make the face cover more comfortable, without this cover that wouldn’t be possible... it all worked out in the end, besides the ‘hole in my pocket’.

Nice texture and fit. Ignore the other reviews. You need a tight fit to block light and extra padding only pushes you away from the screen, defeating the purpose. The only quip I had was after u put it on (properly) the sensor that sense your face (to on/off the headset) detects this unknown material and activates the VR. It's easily fix but pushing the cover slightly (2mm up) after use. But less 1 star for that.

Before getting this I was suffering with discomfort where the oculus sits on my face. Also the lenses would fog up a lot. Since fitting this, it's like wearing a completely different headset. A lot more comfortable and the fogging is greatly reduced. If I find I'm getting fogging, I swap the covers (you get two) and let the other dry out and almost instantly, the fogging on the outside of the lenses is gone

Although I've always found the sponge on the Oculus Rift to be comfortable, I've always been concerned with hygiene and the foam beginning to break down. This product resolves both of those issues. The product was easy to fit as long as you follow the instructions and take your time. The bit around the nose is the most difficult bit.

25.8.2018

Yes, it's pricey for what it is but it's well made and it does it's job well. I don't know if the product has changed since some previous reviews but the instructions were easy to follow and it fits my rift well with no bagginess or bits sticking out. Makes wearing it for extended periods a much more pleasant experience.

27.9.2017

Allows me to play my Oculus Rift for much longer periods of time. Before, if I sweat even a little bit around my face, I would need to remove the head unit. The foam soaks up properly and makes the face feel much better. Yes, they are costly - but there is no other alterative to a decent Rift experience.

I have a rather flat nose without a bridge. And with standard headset foam i could see the floor out of nose bridge and lenses were always steaming up if i breathe through my nose. Now its darkness and no steam... So glad I bought these. Nice soft and comfy.

3.9.2017

It doesn't look as aesthetically pleasing as you might expect but it works, is completely functional very comfortable and once you get the hang of it, easy to remove and put back on. You forget its even there when you are using it. I would recommend.

6.1.2018

Even though it's light and not very thick the cover has made wearing the rift much more comfortable and there's less pressure on my eyes which means I can wear it for longer periods. For £19 I think it is worth it and highly recommend it.
