I bought these shoes for cycle touring instead of carrying 2 pairs. They fit all my criteria1. Recessed cleats2. Have enough grip for wild camping and light trekking3. Subtle and fashionable enough to be worn around town without looking overly techieClipping In:I have never used recessed cleats before, but found them easy to use. They are probably a little bit more difficult to clip-in than my usual road bike shoes, but not much. As far as walking, the cleats do not scrape at all except if you hit and uneven surface, but for the most part no one will be aware that you are wearing cleats. Perfect.I use: Shimano A520 SPD Touring Pedals. These shoes work fine for clipped-in or clip-less pedalling.Normal Wear:The shoes have plenty of grip.I played a game of basketball in them just to break them in before my tour. No problems at all, no slippage. I found them more than comfortable enough for camping and casual walking.Fashion:Fashion wise, I think they are fine. I have to be honest and say I would prefer my normal road bike shoes for riding and my normal Converse shoes for casual wear. But they look decent overall.Sizing:I noticed that a lot of reviewers are mentioning that you need to go a size up with these shoes. But the real issue is that the Amazon size chart does not match the Giro one. For example, the Amazon chart reports that my 46 shoes are UK-12, but the chart of the Giro website reports that 46 is UK-11. I ordered UK-11 (46) as a I normally would and the fit is spot on.Misc:. They are nicely water resistant. I did get stuck in a big downpour, but if my feet were wet I did not notice it. The shoes dried quickly as others have mentioned.. They came back from my little cycle tour in excellent condition and seem well made.. I would definitely recommend these shoes for commuters and cycle tourists.. These are the best selling MTB shoes over at Evans, but are cheaper here.

The shoes have a firm but comfortable seat. On the bike: With the shoes I manage to easily click into the Klickpedalen and if it does not succeed, the profiled rubber soles ensure that I do not slip off the pedals. Even when driving, you feel a solid and secure connection to the pedals and has a good and safe driving feeling. On foot: The bike shoes are not primarily intended for running, you can also notice in these shoes. However, compared to other cycling shoes, these shoes have a much better and better running feel. If you are planning a break with a short walk, then these shoes would be suitable. Small drawback: In my opinion, the only thing I can complain about is the allocation of shoe sizes.At first I had shoe size 48 ordered. My right foot has size 46.5 and my left foot has size 46. Shoe size 48 fit well on the left foot and not on the right foot. So order canceled and size 49 ordered. Now fit the shoes on both feet well. My advice is therefore to order these shoes two sizes larger. If you know that, there is nothing to complain about the shoes.

I bought these and another pair of shoes that had dual purposes (walking and cleating in). These were much lighter and way better looking than the others. I agree with other posters about the orange trim but it really isn't that bad. I plan to change to red or black laces anyway and the other minor spots of orange will be chalked up to more reflection for night rides(??) Not a deal breaker either way...for me at least. The shoes were really narrow though. I up a size for the other shoes (thanks to reviews) and they fit perfectly. I didn't see many people saying to order larger in the Giro's so I used a chart and ordered normally. Unfortunately, I am going to return these for a pair two sizes larger.I am still giving 5 stars though because the size is the only gripe I have so far and it is easily remedied with a return (hopefully). I will update if things are not perfect after I have the right size and I ride for a while. I am a size US11 and got these in size EU45. Switching to EU47.

I'm a mens size 12.5 in most shoes so I ordered these in 46 and they fit perfectly. I'm glad they come with cleats already inserted. The shoe feels sturdy and well connected while I'm on the bike while not being overly stiff while I'm walking in them. If you were planning to bike some where and spend a few hours walking around, I would recommend bringing extra shoes but a quick trip to the grocery store or something, these things are perfect. After about 100 miles, I don't see any visible signs of tearing, wear, seams, or anything else to suggest these are not made well.This isn't the shoes fault, but I would reconsider getting this style of shoe in the future. When I'm commuting to work in my jeans,they look great. But when I go on longer rides, they look a little odd with athletic shorts or cycling shorts. That doesn't reflect on the shoe, but just wanted to bring it up. Consider when you'll be wearing these most often and get the appropriate look.

I'm new to using bike shoes and very pleased with this purchase. I'm glad the directions listed torque settings for the pedals if you're new to using them with the shoes. It's much easier to get comfortable with using them correctly when they're set to release easier. Big thank you to Campmor who fulfilled the order. I emailed them to change my order to the next size up and they were very quick to respond to my request.The shoes fit nicely and am surprised they're not too narrow since I have wide feet. Too early to tell how long they will last.....now if they'd just change the lace color from bright orange to black I'd be even happier.It's a minor gripe since I'm more into function than fashion

4 stars because the cleat needs to be recessed further. They look amazing and are very comfortable! (if you follow everyone's advice and get one size larger than normal) Even walking in these is pretty comfortable. While they are rather stiff (like every bike shoe) there's a bit of a curve in the sole that makes each step feel pretty normal. My ONLY complaint is the fact that the hole for the cleat needs to be deeper. Or the sole thicker, however you want to look at it. When I walk on concrete, I can feel/hear the cleat grinding.Side note: I have somewhat wide feet with high arches and these fit very well. I'm usually a US size 11 so I got the size 46 and they fit great.

I really love these shoes. They fit me well (I'm a size 12 US and got a size 46 here), they don't make any noise when walking, and they look good - like normal sneakers. I once had a random stranger ask me what kind of sneakers they were because he thought they looked good and wanted a pair. He was shocked when I showed him the bottom of the shoe and explained they were for cycling.After constant use for nearly two years, my pair is really starting to show some wear and come apart. I feel that I more than got my money's worth, and I ordered another identical pair.

To-life high-quality and good-looking shoes lenkkarityyliä applying for. Cool shoe, where the air is exchanged on the toes as well. The sole is stiff, of course, but eg. Grocery arrest suffers from very walk cycling along the way. According to an online discussion narrower lestiä I expected, but I was pretty kapeajalkaisena integral forefoot and toe for extra space. So far I have used these shes pretty much every day and they are comfortable and versatile, I use them for daily commuting on a cyclo cross bike. Don't listen the reviewer who commented on the sizing, they are not small. If these are your first bike shoes, don't forget to ask for the cleats with your pedals (the part for the shoes) or order them if you don't have them. Also, make sure you tighten them properly or carry an allen key when you take them for the first ride. On my first outing the cleat had come loose and I had lost one of the screws.

Because I have an orange bike with black accents, I spoke these shoes. The mesh on the sides and top of the pass is open, so your feet to ventilate. Not so easy to see in the picture, it sits atop pass a clientele elastic loop to keep it fixed your shoelaces. Bikster what optimisch the measure. This is still something smaller. Normally I have size 42, now has become yet 43. So I have to order a 2nd time. This is handled by Bikster further tidy, all you have to have some patience because it is a foreign site.

I have no complaints about the shoes. I ordered a size 47. I normally wear 11.5 or 12 in US sizing. They fit fine. I don't have wide feet but I can see where the width might be an issue for someone with wider feet. They get a full 5 stars from me because they're exactly what I wanted. I can ride my bike anywhere, hop off to walk around, and I look like I'm wearing normal sneakers. Using SPD cleats and they will clank and make noise on uneven ground but that's to be expected.

I am satisfied, got exactly what I expected. Listen to people here saying to go size up - I'm glad I did. I'm normally 41.5-42 EU size and 43 is perfect. The ventilation on top is great for hotter days, but you will need a pair of overshoes for chilly mornings and/or rain. They are easy to clip in and out, despite what some reviewers say. This is my first ever pair of SPD shoes and I haven't had a single problem with the mechanism.

The first pair I bought was with a salesman that shared he sold these to Seattle bicycle police because 1) they are very comfortable both riding and walking, 2) the stiffness is helpful on long rides, 3) they breathe well. I went and put a couple hundred miles on them and found those claims to be spot on. I went to Amazon and bought another pair. I have had multiple complements that they are good looking as well. The orange pops.

Exactly the kind of shoe I was looking for. Personally I think they look great & They are comfortable just as a shoe on their own. I cycle to work & have to walk a bit around to get to changing rooms etc. So there’s no slippin & sliding that I’ve had from previous Bike shoes. The cleats are well recessed into the sole so you don’t sound like a tap dancer walking around (disclaimer: I’ve nothing against tap dancers!)

Great shoes. The sizing guide is slightly off like other reviewers have said. It states that if you are size 12 in most brands like I am then a size 46 should work. I bought a size 46 from my local bike shop and they were too small. I returned those and bought these in a size 47 and they fit great. They are narrow which is perfect for me because I have narrow feet but could be a problem for someone with wide feet.
