Although this isn't designed for the Oculus Quest 2, with the right adapter this is by far the most comfortable strap to use with that particular headset.I have tried out the official Elite strap with battery and after an hour that was enough due to the tight fitting around the face and cheeks and pressure on the nose, which renders the extended battery pointless!I had been using a GOMRVR halo strap for a few months which I found significantly more comfortable than the Elite strap, although the headset still felt heavy and tends to press a bit against the nose. That transfers the bulk of the weight to the forehead and aside from an itchy forehead after extended use, that has served me well. Then after so many good reviews I decided to give this a go and it is truly outstanding. Neither the Elite strap or halo strap come close to the comfort offered by this. It completely takes any weight off the nose and the bulky and cumbersome Quest 2 actually feels light. As an added bonus, the ear phones are very comfortable and audio quality is good. Even with an external battery mounted, this still feels light and comfortable to what I was previously using. Although this strap is costly, it really is worth spending the money. The cost is already comparable to the Elite strap so that's a no brainer, but when factoring in audio options such as clip on buds, this works out better in the long run than even the budget halo straps.

Works well so far. After playing with the original headset for a year I really noticed the difference with this upgrade. The best thing is the cable arrangement. It's much more comfortable. It fits into a gripper and one goes down one side rather than dangle from the back so will make room scale games easier to play. Weight distribution is better and the headset now feels more robust. You still can't flip the headset up but when you enable the camera on the headset you can see your room clearly anyway. The sound is ok but I am still getting used to it. Not as loud as the ones the go into your ears (this may be a good thing as I think I was damaging my hearing playing Beat Saber)but still good quality It still drowns out the background noise very well and its still just as immersive. No more dangling headphones that keep falling out! The instructions are very difficult to comprehend just looking at the drawings taken from odd perspectives (worse than Ikea instructions!) but I found a 2 minute YouTube video that did a good job. Just type Vive DAS and there's a video by Vive Tutorials channel. Very pleased.

The first 6/7 times using it in the configuration that i have, it works flawlessly. You only need to dial in the back knob and top strap placement on the first attempt and then from then on you can jus pull it over with ease. The Built-in audio quality is Perfect for any use case, It is a little lacking in BASS/Sub-Bass but thats easy to correct via software, Equalizer APO.The original foam is alright but could be better, i replaced it with AMVR's Pu leather padding solution and that improved comfort considerably.Sometimes while adjusting the back dial, one side can end up being longer than the other, which makes me have to take it off the headset then redial back in the sides to make them the same length again.with time these small fustrations only get worse. but for the most part it is holding up alright. A solid 4 out of 5. Wish it was cheaper, id suggest a price tag of £60.

I bought this to use with my Oculus Quest 2 (in tandem with a 3D printed DAS adaptor bought elsewhere online).Overall it does a great job with the Quest 2 and feels pretty secure even when playing fairly intense titles. Therefore I'm glad I bought it and would do so again. It's not prefect though. Apart from the fact that it's a bit over priced, my main issue is that one of the ear piece headphones does not like to stay down in its depressed position against my ear/head when in use. It frequently pops outwards into the position its supposed to be in when not in use and putting on the headset. I don't think my head is excessively large so really it's likely to just be slightly poor design and /or build quality.A shame as otherwise I'd give it a full five stars!

Having purchased the HTC vive for a project for video creation on youtube, I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference this makes everything. The comfort level is much higher than with the standard strap that comes with the Vive and ultimately this felt like how the Vive should come out the box imo.The tightening screw/knob on the rear of the deluxe strap is how you tighten or loosen it to your head, so no messy velcro or painful trapped hair if you happen to have long hair.Snug, and allows you to quickly pull it off, look at something irl and then back on again without stressful re-aligning and re-fastening.A must-have for Vive owners then.

I have wanted one of these for a while but have always felt (and still do) that it is not value for money. I have been watching this since launch and the price seems to have only ever rose. I decided though to part with my cash and purchase one. It is very easy to fit, and actually works quite well. My daughter likes it as she wears glasses and its easier to put on. The built in headphones make taking the headset on and off a bit easier. Its also much more sturdier if you are leading forward (the original strap would tend to make the headset almost fall off your head). All in a all an expensive product, deffo not value for money but a decent item.

I'm very energetic so I tend to use VR for face paced games or I react quickly in gun games so the orignal strap was fine IF i made it tight but after a while the velcro was giving because on how tight I had to strap it so I got this, its comfortablem simple to use and the quality of the sound if great. I used Bose earphones which kept getting tangled in my arms and if that was not the issue i can hear it clanking around so yes the audio does not match Bose but its really good for gaming.A must add on which the vive should already included.

This is a must have accessory for the vive. No need to plug in separate headphones anymore and the sound quality is excellent. Furthermore it has better cable management than the original which routes the cable around the side rather than over the top of your head. Additionally it has an adjustment knob at the back of the head, so no need to use the Velcro anymore.I know it seems expensive, but it's so much more than just an audio strap. It greatly enhances the ergonomics of the headset.

Perfect on my quest 2 (with adapter), far more comfortable than the stock strap, audio is far better than the stock sound and gives a much better idea of positioning in games. Only minor niggle I have with this is the headphones popping off my ear when playing games that involve a lot of movement, though this can be tightened up with a small screwdriver. Have added a battery pack adapter for an all on one solution, very happy.

I ordered this for my quest 1 as the original strap was not comfy and was loose even when tightend. Best thing I did, this goes a lot smaller than the original one and with it having foam at the back it's much more comfortable and feels more secure and the headphones a bonus, good sound and you can adjust them height wise.Looks great now ive added my personal colours.I would definitely recommend this strap.

i dont think HTC are selling many of these for HTC VIVES anymore..I think they are getting snapped up to make Frankenquests.Works wel on a Quest2 with some 3d printed adapters. (Failing that you can pick up sets of the adapters on ebay) Sound quality was better than expected.and once the fit adjusted makes for a comfortable vr experiance.A Little pricy for what it is though.

Makes a great addition to the Oculus Quest 2 though that's not what it was designed for. You can get 3d printed bracket/adaptors which allow it to be used with the Q2, I got mine from Ebay. With this audio strap the Q2 is much more comfortable to use and it's nice to have the headphones built in, very convenient.A bit on the pricey side but I like it.

6.12.2018

Ridiculous price point for what it is, but with the lack of alternatives... I suppose it's worth part of the excess cost simply because it's a much more comfortable fit than the basic headstrap that comes with the standard vive kit. The earpads feel like those cheapo sponge headphones you used to see in the 80s though.

27.9.2018

Fits really nicely on the vive, the head phones are loud enough for great game immersion, but also built so you can still hear your surroundings with a quick snap to allow you to hear those around you. The head strap is much better than the stock one as adjustments are much faster and tighter to allow better vision.

Bought to add to my Oculus Quest, together with some 4D printed parts to attach it (on Etsy). Wish I had done this sooner, as the difference in comfort is huge.If you have a quest I definitely recommend upgrading to this head strap, the upgrade in comfort and sound quality is awesome!!
