I love a quiz and so does my seven year old son. As I'm a reasonably regular Trivial Pursuit player and my son had already joined in with reading the questions, he was excited to hear that there was a family edition with questions specifically for children. The game didn't disappoint. There's a complete set of adult questions (blue) and a set for kids (yellow). A lot of the questions for the children are multiple choice so a bit of lateral thought along with a bit of guesswork can be employed. The game is much quicker than the original with the inclusion of a "wicked wedge" side on the dice instead of a six and lots of "throw again" squares on the board. The only downside to this game is the humiliation of being trounced at one of your favourite games by your offspring. I am looking forward to a Trivial Pursuit-full Christmas.

We bought this game on a whim with some leftover Christmas money. Well it turned out to be money Very well spent. My children (aged 8 & 10) adore this game and would play everyday time permitting - that says alot since it means they would choose a game of this instead of playing with the Wii or DS. It's great for adults too, since I've had to clear out a few cobwebs where my school learning is stored to answer a few questions!I suppose the best thing about this family game is that there are 2 sets of question cards. It gives the kids something to strive for - answering questions off the older age targeted questions is something they're well aware is something worth working towards. All in all,a great family game!!

I bought this as a family game for Xmas and so far we must have played it more than 10 times. Bought for a child age range of 11 to 14 and for two adults, I find the game is enjoyable for all with the questions being neither too hard nor too easy for the children, and at the usual level of hardness for the adults that you would expect from a Trivial Pursuit game. The children take great delight at being able to answer questions without any hints or clues, and also the multiple choice answers allow them to make an educated guess.I thouroughly enjoy playing this and expect there to be many more games up to and over the coming festive period.

I ordered this version because I already have the 2006 edition, which is what I received. After a few emails, a replacement order was sent. I was let down again as they had, for a second time, sent the same wrong item. I have now asked for a courier collection for both wrong items and a refund. Unfortunately, Amazon have listed both the 2001 and the 2006 edition with the exact same name "Trivial Pursuit Family Edition". So to recap, if you want this 2001 edition, don't buy it from Amazon, because you won't get it! Note, my ratings are for the item itself, not Amazon's incompetency.

Much enjoyed by our family, and we haven't got fed up with it yet. The original version of this is better, but adding questions for younger quizzers has certainly allowed everyone more enjoyment. The addition of a cheese option on the dice means you get through the game quite a bit more quickly, so youngsters aren't quite so fed up of waiting for their turn. This is invaluable when you have around 9 or 10 players, as we frequently do. The questions are well framed for the younger element so it's nice and educational too!

I really enjoyed playing with my kids because it's great fun and the quality is outstanding.... It gave me family quality time, made me realise their knowledge, their weaknesses and it was fun to play. I was a bit concerned with the questions because I wasn't very sure weather it was suitable for the whole family but to my surprise, it has questions for children/teenagers and adults so, suitable for the family. I only played once and we all enjoyed very much... I advise everyone to have a go.... we all loved it....

As a family with two children aged 10 and 12, we are always looking for games we can play together. This one is great and challenging. If there was a downside to this shopping experience it is that the playing pieces supplied in the small plastic bag were not correctly packed and we are missing an orange counter and some of the smaller coloured wedges are incorrect with too many of some colours and not enough of other colours should 6 people play, so attention to detail lacking when it was packed maybe!

Trivial Pursuit was a very educational game good for general knowledge, sports , geography and the arts. I first learnt about Zsa Zsa Gabor's famous phrase 'I would never hate a man so much to give him back his diamonds' from this very game. I had some classic duels with my dad (a controversial 7-6 loss some 18 years ago) and it provided me with hours of pleasure that I hope to transfer to future generations. This game hasn't aged ; maybe the questions but you do get refresher packs for that (do you ?).

I live in the US and had found it great playing that version with my 7 year old. You can only answer 1 question at a time so it stops the adults from getting too far ahead, my 7 year old wins at least 70 percent of the time because the kids questions are geared towards him (mostly some are for older kids).Game is usually lasts about 25 minutes. Bought this version to send to friends back in the UK but I believe the format is the same.

I bought this game because I love quiz based games. This game was perfect... there are loads of different questions and in different levels, so everyone in the family can play it. There are also two ways to play the game, so you can just have a quick game, or have a longer game for those rainy days. The questions are good. They are not only questions you might know the answer to, but also questions you can learn facts from.

I played this with a 10 year old and a 6 year old and it worked! I had to skip a few qs for the little one but apart from that it was a success. I found the adult qs harder than I remember when I last played it.They got the rules well and were very happy to read the questions out in quiz master style. The childrens qs range from the name of the river in eastenders to how many bags of wool ba ba black sheep had.

Great family entertainment.Personally, I disagree with some reviewers and I don't think the children's questions are too hard. I think they are challenging enough, but not as hard to put them off playing. And you can always skip some questions to adapt the game for the younger ones.My only criticisim is that the questions have an american bias and some are impossible to answer.

Very good game, allows all ages to be equally involved in competitive game of Trivial Pursuit without feeling disadvantaged. Also the simplified board and the "pie" die speeds up the game considerably (30-60 minutes) compared with normal Triv.Even if you don't have any children playing, just using this board and the adult questions is better than normal Triv.

This is the one game that we all truly love as a family, including my 5 year old!! We have played with friends and family over Christmas and we've been delighted to have it. You can vary the level of difficulty by picking yellow or blue cards, and there are so many cards, I can't imagine us getting tired of this game for many years to come. Educational too!

Brilliant family game. Children's questions perfect for our 9 year old, 12 year old does mixture of adult and children's (alternate) and parents do adult ones. We all really enjoyed playing this over the holidays. Delivery was really quick. It was a last minute purchase before Xmas and didn't really expect to get it on time for the big day but we did!
