This is a superficial breakdown of 30 minutes spent with the card, so take it with a grain of salt.Using it with an adapter into a laptop equipped with a decent SSD, you can expect write speeds that constantly dip as low as 9-10 MB/s and go upwards to 28 MB/s. Read speeds usually sit in the high 20s. Haven't tested it straight into a device, so speeds might improve, as shown by another customer with pictures (70+ mb).As for the capacity, as I see this argument popping up over and over again, please educate yourself why the advertised capacity by the manufacturer is different than the one showed by your computer. A simple google search will give you multiple articles regarding this. For all intents and purposes storage is calculated as you would weight, distance etc, by adding zeros to the end.so 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,000 megabytes (MB) etc. However due to how computers work, they will not show these values, but instead:1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,024 megabytes etcThe bigger the drive is, the more capacity is "lost" in the listing of your device.128 gb = 1,099,511,627,776 bit1,099,511,627,776 bit = 137,438,953,472 byte137,438,953,472 byte = 134,217,728 kilobyte134,217,728 kilobyte = 131,072 megabyte131,072 megabyte = 128 gigabyteI made a quick calculation (which could be slightly incorrect, failed math):The amount you "lose" is as fallows:Gigabyte difference = 73,741,824 bytesSince per GB your are "losing" 73,741,824 bytes, then 73,741,824 bytes x 128 GB = 9,438,953,472 bytes, which converted to GB equals: 8.79071 GB (as shown in the picture).Windows machine shows 117 but if we add the "missing" 8.7gb = 125.7, which is closer to the advertised capacity. Also this might be true for write/read speeds as well, and the actual product does not advertise 95MB/s, rather "up to" which is correct.Does the job, but I would use it for complex write and read situations. Only really useful for mobiles and other hand held devices.

This short review is for the Transcend 128GB microSD card, not the 256GB card it seems to have got mixed in with. [EDIT May 2020: However, I've now bought a 256GB card - see below]My Fiio X3 II has no problems playing hi-res FLAC files with this card, so its transfer rate is fast enough.Surprisingly the write speed was only around 30MB/sec, using Win 10 and my usual USB 3.0 kit. However, since my PC's reformat USB 3.0 hasn't been up to its usual speed on other devices, so I can't blame the card.To sum up: it's Transcend, it's a respected brand (not some oddly-named unknown brand card), and it works fine...EDIT: May 2020 256GB microSD card purchaseThe 256GB card writes at around 30MB/sec (USB 3.0 adaptor)and seems fine. For those who worry about such things, the memory/capacity is listed (by Windows) as follows:-exFAT 247,396,827,136 bytes 230 GBI personally don't worry any missing space as there is nothing I can do about it. I just use the card...

Bought a couple of these for Victure Security Outdoor Cameras, that record with audio at 1080p (don't know bitrate, sorry). Following formatting in the camera, they seem to work. I am not running them with full-time recording but with motion detection, which hopefully should avoid the cards wearing out too soon – which is a real concern with these less-expensive cards. If I run into any problems I'll update this review.Simple, basic packaging with no wasted SD card adaptor provided, as with some other micro-SD cards.

Having used slower versions of this card in the past when I needed a card for a secure phone I was given a choice of 4 cards to use and this being one I decided to try it on a PC first before loading into a phone to check it and it transfers as fast as any pro photo card I have found at a fraction of the cost...Would buy again when I need any further cards. But saying that with the size plus large phone memory you need to record a lot to fill it. over a month on I am still trying and not got close yet.

This Transcend card gives satisfactory performance, I think.I use it in the microSD slot of my Surface Pro 6 to provide bulk storage. Please see the attached benchmark photos. In my testing, it gave slower write speeds when formatted as NTFS (vs exFAT), but I think it is still OK.Random access R/W speeds are not too bad, better than a HDD of a few years ago.For GBP 14.95, 128 GB, it's OK.Only four stars because it does not achieve the advertised 95 MB/s read speed.

Packaging was indeed incredibly frustration free!I bought this for my Nintendo Switch as I saw it's one of the cheapest U3 (min 30Mbps write) 128GB MicroSD cards available.I have installed all of my games on there and they work without problems. I have already recommended it to two family members with switches and they use it so I have no problems recommending it here! Perfect little thing for those running out of Switch storage :)

not sure where is the problem, I have a transcend dash cam, but it came with 16 GB memory card, so I decided to upgrade it to 128 GB, but now there is a problem. It keeps me asking to format card every time card is full (aprox. after every 12 hours). Maybe it is cameras fault, but it did not ask me to format card while I was using 16 GBAnyone have any idea why it is doing like this?

I got a pair of these for a couple of Tablets. I read that they might need reformatting to get the max capacity but I didn't have any issue with them at all showed up as 118GB storage available. I think that's pretty common to loose some of the space with rounding fo bytes off to GB. Next day delivery was spot on!

Bought this to replace another Transcend card, a 64GB class 10, which after several years, entered a 'read-only' state - so I lost no information, which was good! This card performs similarly, only with twice the capacity. So, good speeds, a verified capacity and a good price - what's not to like!

Bought to replace a failed corrupt card, and very pleased so far. Arrived well packaged in retail blister, has fast read/write speeds and so should do the job?Currently in use in a Thieye action camera. Shows 117.5GB of useable space. Intend buying another...

I purchased this card to go inside a Karaoke microphone so I can add lots of varied music in time for Christmas. Had no problems uploading music on to it via my mac and it works a treat so really happy with this purchase. :)

Bought for someone nintendo switch. They are super pleased with it. Writes fast, from 44-65mb/s. Really recommanded for any switch users. Just note, this comes in a frustration free package unlike sandisk SDD.

21.5.2019

Works just like any other SD card. Can't see why people pay more. It's rated high for speed (and I haven't noticed any lg when using it), has a high capacity and is cheaper than any others I could find.

11.12.2019

I've bought multiple Transcend high-speed MicroSD cards before and they've all served me well. No failures to report thus far (unlike Sandisk cards) and they are speedy enough for 4k video recording.
