By buying the Pastels, Ocean Colours and Primary colours, I’ve ended up with duplicate pen/brush colours which I find annoying and a bit disappointing on the part of Tombow. However the pens write beautifully and the blender brush that came with the Ocean set works great - just stick a sheet of white paper inside a clear polythene freezer bag and you have a “palette” to mix your colours on. I think the pens work out very expensive, especially in view of getting duplicates, but they are quite versatile having two nibs. I have a journal sketch pad and the paper gets roughed up and bleeds a lot so I’m going to revert to using watercolour paper and hope the same doesn’t happen there. There’s no strong scent from them either, so that’s a bonus. Hoping to do more experimenting with them in time and perfecting my technique as it’s like learning all over again.

Beautiful pastel colours. In most cases the colours matched the lids, however the pink was a little brighter than expected and the lilac a little bluer. Ink flowed freely from the brush ends, no problem with dryness.Colours on pack are:Blue 452Blue 553Lilac 623Green 243Lemon 062Pink 723Colours can be built up by going over the same space again ( so take care not to do this is you want a uniform colour!) and changed by going over with another colour from the pack so you actually get far more then 6 colours. Please see photos for colour comparison and effects but be aware this is scribbled on low quality printer paper so is not as good as if you were to use high quality paper and take your time.If you found my review useful, please hit the 'Yes' button below. Thank you.

I got the pastel kit and I absolutely love the colours. Like a few other people mentioned, the pink is not pastel, and is a lot more vibrant than the colour on the lid, so I think this needs to be addressed and revised, but other than that the colours are great! The colours are also great. They are water soluble and so far they haven't bled through papers that I use. I generally use these with the Scribbles that Matter bullet journal notebook. I would highly recommend these if you'd like to add some colour to your bullet journals!

A great pack to add to my collection. Wanted a variety of pastels to use and this gives a good selection. The blue is a little brighter than what I would class as pastel but the others are nice and calm colours.Tombow Dual Brush Pens (large brush pens) take a little getting used to so if you’re a beginner, maybe start with a small brush pen and then progress to the larger Tombows when you’ve had some practise. They took me a little while to get used to. Great pens for lettering though!

The blue and pink aren't pastel - as per all the reviews, they are bright and saturated. The pack I received had some more flexible and some stiffer brushes, so some have to be broken in before I can get equal thick strokes applying the same pressure from all markers.Great for my journaling proposes, but I would suggest also buying appropriate paper to prevent fraying the brush tips so that they last longer, and for clean thin strokes.

Amazing markers, but the brush tip of the pink one in the pack I received has no colour. It's not that it's dried out because it is wet, it just has no colour when I draw with it (which makes me really sad because I bought this pack mainly for the pink brush tip marker...). The rest of the markers, as well as the thin side of the pink one, works perfectly though! Smooth glide and perfect soft colours.

I’d been wondering what the hype was about Tombow and now I know. The colours are beautiful and the brush works so smoothly. I’m new to bullet journal and brush lettering but it’s very easy to get used to. I would just say that some colours show up more than others - like the green and yellow are much paler in comparison to the blue and pink which I’d consider to be a bit more vibrant.

Perfect for brush lettering whether you’re a beginner or a pro. The flexible brush tip allows for smooth line width variance from thick to thin. Tombows are known as the best for a reason. So glad I found this pack especially as certain ones can be quite a bit more expensive - this is good value considering it’s tombow.

The pen housing is much more pastel-y than the watercolours inside, but the colours are truly beautiful. I thought the yellow pen was a bit dry at the bullet end, compared with the other 5 pens. These dry quickly but blend beautifully while still wet, so I've no regrets at all.

These pens are a dream to use. I am able to share in boxes in straight lines effortlessly. I also use the pens for highlighting titles in recipes, book lists etc in my bullet journal. The blue & green are not really very pastel but still lovely to work with.

Apart from the pink and blue the shades are lovely pastels. Had to get a replacement because in the first pack the pink pen didn't work. Amazon were very quick to replace. Came with a free hard nib fudenosuke pen which was a pleasant surprise!!

I'm a newbie at lettering and these pens are a great starting point. I found these easier to use than my black tombow burush pen for some reason. The colours are beautiful. Easy enough to do a nice transfer from one to other colour.

Really nice brush pens in pastel tones just beware that the pink pen is much more pigmented and bold than the rest, would hardly call it pastel but other than that it has a beautiful selection of colours and I use them all the time!

I was sceptical about the Tombow hype but decided to treat myself as these as lovely colours. I wasn’t disappointed! They blend beautifully and the pens seem to be excellent quality. I have since ordered the handwriting set.

I was looking for pens to draw with and pens to highlight my bullet journal with, these do both. No 'bleedthrough' on bullet journal pages, and you can highlight written text without smudging your ink. Very pleased :)
