Bought for my grandson as he loves doing jobs with his grandad, and, at three years old isn't quite ready for a full on Swiss Army Knife.He loves it. I had an old mobile phone pouch from back in the day when mobiles were huge, and he wears that on his belt with the knife in.The blade(s) are a bit flimsy, and wouldn't stand aggressive use, but so far we've had no problems. The boy insists on cutting his sandwiches with the knife blade, which it does perfectly well.Just for info, the knife is pretty big, much bigger than my own SAK, but that does mean that slightly fumbly fingers are able to get the blades out with no problems.

Great item for kids. I carry a Victorinox Swisschamp and whenever I use it (which is several times a day) my 4 year son always wants to hold it and play with it, which obviously could be fraught with danger. Not any longer! He will soon (Christmas) have his very own. This toy is big and chunky, ideal for small hands to be able to open and close easily. It's made of tough looking plastic with no sharp edges at all, just nice smooth lines. I've been looking for ages for one of these for him. I just hope he likes it as much as me - and I'm in my 40s!!

I read some silly reviews before I purchased two of these. I can confirm that for the money these are super. They are clearly toys. They are not as robust as a real penknife. But if you are purchasing these as toys you should not want them to be tough and robust. My sons (4 and 6) love them. And so do I. They give the sense of adventure without any risk. Go buy!!!!!

This should be seen more as a model rather than a toy. More to hold, view and open, close rather than to use with other toy tools, screws etc.The plastic used for the tools is quite thin and will break if used as a toy for screwing, cutting etc.It is larger than a standard size 91mm Victorinox (about 110mm).Good price too!

Great purchase, my son wanted his own pen knife "just like daddy's". But still being young, this is the closest he gets. As well as being used as a fun toy, we also encourage safe knife use and correct handling. He loves it and take it on all our out door adventures.

Chunky, large version of the real thing! (it does not have a real blade). bought as a gift for a 3 year old boy who follows his elder cousin about the garden copying him 'whittling'. Hours of fun so far for a toddler being grown up!

Loved by my 5 year old. He likes to take it on walks, and to use the spoon attachment for yoghurts!He’s very heavy handed and it has proved robust enough for him so far. Great fun.

I bought my 7 year old daughter her first SAK and needed something for my 3 year old son so he wouldn't get jealous. It's great and I like playing with it as much as him.

Great little item for survivalist son. He iss only 18mths and loves this gadget - perfect for dexterous kids that find usual toys boring as hell. Well made and safe.
