Having played The Settlers - Rise Of An Empire, I searched everywhere to get a hold of this.A much superior & challenging game to the original, it provides 8 missions in campaign mode and 12 missions in the custom game mode which literally take hours to finish. There are additional features such as being able to re-mine stone & iron at a cost once they have depleted & there is an additional category in the store house to buy & sell. Overall this a much better feel & experience than the first with a much higher difficulty level. If you thought the first was too easy until the later levels, then you'll like this.I ended up purchasing this as a download from the Game website.

This was the second of the Settlers games I have played and, in my opinion, by far the best. The graphics are excellent and you have a lot of control over your knight and your armies (it helps when you can stop them running through enemy territory when they decide that's the way to take a short cut!) and allows you to make some very sneaky moves in order to win. There isn't too much fighting (unless you want to that is) and several maps give you the option of being blackmailed by the bandits or the Red Prince if you don't want to fight!With the custom maps on offer, there are literally hours and hours of fun to be had from this game.

After seeing this item on amazon I decided to order it as I have The Settlers Rise of an empire, and have really enjoyed it. The new princess in this game is ok, I found her easier to use in certain missions expeciall mission 4. The overall game is one of colour and good graphics, althgouh sometimes my pc did crash. I did not really find this a major problem though.I was rather disappointed through when there is only 8 missions, as I had read somewhere that there were 16. It did take me quite a while to complete after having difficulty on missions 5 & 7, but I have finally done it and will now start playing the campaign missions.If you like the settlers then this is a must buy and I wish you

A pleasant way to while away a few hours, due to a change in the way weather affects the game a little more resource planning is required compared to Rise of Empire but this has improved the overall effect. I am also happy to see the return of the geologist and the ability to replenish worn out mines.Unlike Settlers 7 this can be (and is) installed on my laptop for those occasions when I am required to work away from home.

More challenges to get involved with, including rainy months when nothing grows & preventing you from crossing flooded rivers which makes quests more difficult. Well done Ubisoft. A great expansion for an already great game.

I loved the original and this adds a new character and domain for very little cash. Getting a tribute from villages is a great idea. I've played settlers from the Amiga days and I still love it.

this is by far the best settlers game i have player.if anybody likes settlers,buy this game.10 out of 10.brill!!!.one of the best games i have ever played.

as my title says this game is fun and addictive and a bit frustrating but in a nice way, good fun for children and adults

the add-on to Rise Of An Empire with much the same feel as the original game, fun to play and not to difficult to learn.
