I've had the game for ages now, getting the hang of it without too much difficulty. It defiantly has close comparisons with Age of Empires, and Cossacks. And as for the historical accuracy, excellent. The graphics are not the best they could possibly be, but who cares that they are not top-notch, when the game-play is so good. There is, as I see it, only one fault: By the end of 1914 (remember the war started in 1914) the war entered a stalemate. Both sides became mired in two main, stationary fronts—the western front, primarily in northeastern France, and the eastern front, mainly in western Russia. At the fronts, the troops fought each other from numerous parallel lines of interconnected TRENCHES.Each side laid siege to the other’s system of TRENCHES and endeavored to break through their lines. This continued to the end of the war on 11th November 1918. So think about this, for a four year period, both sides fought in trenches, and yet, there are no traces of any real trench warfare of such. Whether you think this effects how you would play the game, is your own opinion. But despite this slight flaw, this is a first-rate game.P.S The guy who claimed that it was NOT the first WW1 game. Err, so what, who cares. That has no bearing on the quality of this game.

WW1 fans this is the game for you. I love it! I have been hooked on this game since it arrived on my doorstep, gigantic battles can take place on land at sea and in the air. You have to build resources to keep your military in the field. But beware, the AI is very smart, it will outflank you, attack you from all sides, and overwhelm you with thousands of troop if you are not careful. One of the things that I enjoy the most is the use of chemical weapons such as mustard gas; these things can lay waste to hundreds of troops with one salvo. Air battles can be fierce, hundreds of fighters, medium and heavy bombers, recon planes all vying for control of the skies.Any WW1 fan should buy this game right now.

I brought this game over a week ago and I haven't stopped playing it, good buy. Anyway, It's a great rts game with historicly accurate units and details. There is a wide variety of buildings and units, such as French Ethiopians, British Rangers, Russian cossacks and flamethrowers (even though The flamethrowers are very slow and die easily.) Another brilliant thing about the game is that you can make poison gas shells and suffocate your enemies to death, which is kinda cool. The only bad thing about the games is that there are no trenches or barbed wire, which were two of the most important things in the first world war. But still it's a very good game and I think you should buy it.

I managed to get my hands on the demo of this game, all I can say is - WHAT A GAME! You get to fight the major battles of the First World War, at sea on land and in the air. You survival depends on your ability to create large units, build ships, aircrafts, tanks and more. But also you must at the same time manage your economy or you country will go bankrupt. Let me give you an idea of the size of this game, you can have over 80,000 units on the map! Visit the publishers website for some truly awesome screenshots.

Just got my copy, absolutely fantastic! The scale of battles will blow you away, it shows the futility of war and especially WW1. The number of units you can kill can run to 10s of thoudsands or 10s of thousands of your units can be slaughterd. Ships, tanks, bombers you name it it is there....but no trenches. Shame about the trenches but i think it will no be as much fun without trenches. If you liked Cossacks buy this game now!

Being a massive fan of Cossacks I was instantly drawn to Entente, the game is extremely similar but builds heavily on it with larger maps, a lot more units and options and a lot better graphics and animations. And with the game being set during World War 1, which is meant to be the first game ever to do this, it makes it a must buy!
