I have just purchased this Weather Boy to replace an Oregon Scientific model which after 4 years had stopped working. A contributory factor was probably that because the OS model was of an upright design it could get knocked over fairly easily so I decided that this oblong WB model should prove to be more stable. It is working well and the display is well formatted however for me, there are 3 shortcomings:-1~ The automatic time signal is centred on Frankfurt so the UK time has to be set manually but thus far I have been unable to set it with complete accuracy.2~ An on screen indication of the outside humidity would be useful.3~ The green backlight is rather dim because the screen is edge lit from only one of the shorter sides.

Sets itself up within minutes apart from default time and sunrise/set. For sunrise/set, follow instructions to replace Frankfurt with London. This does not affect the default time which requires much fiddling about. It can be achieved but I can't remember how. When handling, take care with hair-trigger buttons round the rim of the instrument. Result is a clear, accurate clock and weather-report. It's one of the few with moon and sun info. You still need to look out of the window for a final check on whether it is raining.

I'm very pleased with this little unit - it looks and feels to be a good quality item and has a nicely laid-out screen. It easy to set-up and latches on to the radio time-signal and out-door sensor immediately. It provides all the weather information one could reasonably expect or want for a home installation. I was a little concerned initially as to how long the outdoor sensor battery would last in the very cold weather - but it seems to be holding-up very well.

I bought this Weather Boy to replace an Oregon Scientific weather station which had given excellent service over many years.The Weather Boy does everything the Oregon scientific did plus relative humidity and alarm for significantly less money and so far works well,however the instructions are not easy to follow or very logical and setting it up is a much more complex procedure than the Oregon,but once set up it is very good.

Bought this as an extra Christmas present for my husband and he has been quite taken with it ever since!!! He found it was easy to set up and it is small,compact and unobstrusive in the kitchen.My only grumble is trying to stop my husband's constant updates; I guess the novelty will wear off............

I bought a weatherboy exactly the same as this one in Germany last Christmas and we love it. So I tried Amazonto see if you had anything simillar and you had exactly the same so I purchased it as a Christmas gift for ourfriends.

The weatherboy XS is a good little device which works as described apart from an inability to get it off Frankfurt time zone. The icon is entertaining but it is the data that it provides that is useful.

We use this fun weather station in our motorhome. It is a good quality product with adequate number of features for a station at this price.
