First anyone thinking of buying this sort of product should note the same unit is badged with all different names. Mine says "ClimeMET" on the front of the main unit, and CM9088 "Made in China" on the rear. You will see the same product, with a different names on it. One difference between them some of them seems to be that models get the time automatically from a radio transmitter, whereas for others it has to be entered manually. One is supposed to put the batteries in the outside unit first, then on the internal unit. They syncronised quite quickly. I put the units next to each other, and the inside and outside units showed about 0.5 deg C difference. There is nothing in the specification for the accuracy of the temperature sensor, but for my purposes it is not too critical. I'm in Essex in the UK, and found the time got set pretty quickly too.The picture on Amazon shows the exterior unit as "Temperature sensor", and display temperature on an LCD display. In fact, the unit I got supplied displayed both humidity and temperature on the external unit. The same outside temperature and humidity are of course shown on the internal unit.To be honest, I have not taken too much notice of the symbols for what the weather is going to do. This might seem strange, but I mainly bought it so I could measure the temperature and humidity of my laboratory. I think if one is honest, the metrological office can do a better job with all their software running on lots of machines in parallel, then what a small battery powered unit will do. So I'd trust their data more than from this unit. I think if you really believe it is going to be very accurate, you are probably fooling yourself. The interior and exterior units communicate with each other, at a frequency of 433.9 GHz - at least according to the rear of the unit. Despite the fact both my alarm and air conditioning unit works in the unlicensed 434 GHz band, so far I've not had any problems. The somewhat annoying thing about this unit is that the pressure history bar-graph, which covers the last 24 hours in 3-hour periods, updates every 10 or so seconds, despite the fact the fact for 99.9% of the time, it will only display exactly the same data as it did 10 seconds earlier. The manual is poor, as others have pointed out, but I managed to work out most or all of it in the end.I have this in my lab, but are just about to order another one for the house! My wife quite liked having it around, so I'm going to buy another.Dave

This unit feels well made and sits on the wall on our landing providing useful information on the outside temperature first thing in the morning and last thing at night. This provides a guide to how many layers to dorn when dressing, frosts in the garden and whether there might be ice on the car. The barometer reading (in mb)is very accurate and is linked to symbols and arrows which indicate an improvement or deterioration in the weather. Barometric history is shown on a bar graph. Flashing arrows and symbols also indicate particularly significant changes such as storms or heavy rain. There are also theshold alarms that can be set. The clock is controlled from the DCF time signal from Frankfurt and can be set for British Summer Time.My only criticism would be that you cannot take the displayed weather symbols too literally. A full Sun symbol is often displayed in response to a moderate rise in air pressure even though there may still be significant risk of showers. Finally as with many of these units the Inside and Outside Relative Humidity is displayed. I'm never quite sure what I am supposed to do with this information.

This product is absolutely brilliant. The transmission distance is very good indeed. I have tried other products and they would not even transmit a distance of 10 feet through a double glazed window. The layout is clear and large and the weather tendency icons are smack on and the pressure bars are not constantly changing every second like some other products which drove me mad. They are static but show how the pressure is changing over a period of time which is surprisingly useful. Take your time and read ALL the instructions FIRST then sit back and enjoy a truly good weather station. I highly recommend this product.

This weather station is well made, and operated well straight out of the box having taken into consideration the basic commissioning. The was only one hitch. I wanted to place the main unit on a shelf next to my computer. On the other side of the computer is the window through which the outside unit was to be placed, a mere 1m apart. Because of interference from the computer, the indoor unit couldn't see the outdoor unit, so they wouldn't pair. However, repositioning the outdoor unit to a window about 7m away from the computer solved this issue, and all is working well now.

I love this weather station as it has all the basic info you need to know at a glance.First of all it is very simple to set up. Put the batteries in the remote sensor(the one that goes outside) then put them in the main display unit and that is basically it, and you are up and running. You can adjust a few thing to suit your needs, like temps, dew point and barometer. The time updates on its own automatically. Also it has a nice green backlight when you need to see the display in the dark which stays on for about ten seconds.

I am ordering my 3rd. TFA weather station: one to easily monitor the moisture in my tortoise's box while he hibernates in the fridge, one to monitor the greenhouse temperature over winter from indoors, and the third to monitor the temperature outside, again without going outside. I've found the first two reliable and pretty good at transmitting through lots of walls, which is why I don't want to risk another make for the third. Just love having the information so clearly displayed and in a convenient spot

Having given up on weather forecasts we bought this on a whim. It provides accurate information and was easy to set up. It has predicted showers and an increase in wind speed and we're happy with the product. The only downside is the indoor display unit isn't easy to view. You press a button to illuminate and then it's perfect but it would have been nice to be offered a soft backlight option in the settings.

This has been very useful in helping me decide what to wear as I now know the weather outside. It gives plenty of information and the accurate clock is very handy although it needs to be placed somewhere where you can receive the signal. The weather predictions are fairly accurate although sometimes it says its going to rain when it doesn't.

Still working, occasionally loses touch with the outside sensor. Quite complicated to set up. I've got another one from a different manufacturer which seems more accurate. The weather forecast on this one is very slow to change and when the two units disagree, its nearly always this one which is wrong!

Got it on a lightening deal and seems to predict the weather fairly well. Temp's seem a little off, but I do have the outside sensor hiding under a little "weather shield" I built on my shed so it's pretty hot out there. I'd defo buy again at the price, wouldn't pay a huge amount more.

I purchased this a gift for my father and he's very happy with it. The delivery was very fast coming from Germany and set up was straightforward. It took a couple of goes to sort out the correct time as it's updated from a German radio clock but soon had it set for BST.

Have had several weather stations over the years for farmer husband, this is better than more expensive models we have purchased. Has the hard to find feature of recording actual time of minimum and maximum temperatures which several more expensive machines do not.

This is working fine at the moment. The only problem I have with this type of product is that they tend to last no longer than the first battery. I hope this one's different!

I chose this item as a gift. The Station has all information needed and looks easy to read .I chose the rating as at this time I am not able to verify with recipient.

Excellent piece of equipment. Very easy to set up and everything works well. The instruction leaflet leaves something to be desired - far too brief and inadequate.
