Apart from the colour of the plastic, this hygrometer looks identical to one by Youshiko, which I purchased at the same time (hence why this review is virtually idential to the one for Youshiko). I suspect they're made by the same factory and sold to different companies, so they're essentially the same device, which makes comparison of accuracy easier than if I had purchased two completely different hygrometers. Insofar as accuracy goes, this one and the Youshiko appear to be the closest, but even so there is often a difference between them regarding relative humidity, sometimes by as much as 15%. On temperature it's never been more than 1%, though. The problem with cheaper varieties of hygrometers is that their accuracy does vary,

I simply love this thermometer hygrometer. The design is very simple yet slick and eye-pleasing. The device is accurate, practical and reliable. The display is larger than I expected but that just makes reading the numbers easier. The colour is nice and does not stand out, so very good for desktop use. It is very light-weight. The max/min button and the C/F exchange button are at the back of the device, not the front, giving it a clean appearance. I agree with previous reviewers that the viewing angle is limited. You have to face it straight on to read the numbers. The battery compartment is a bit stiff. The plastic inserts are quite thin. So I dare not open it unless absolutely necessary for fear the compartment would break.

This little Thermometer/Hygrometer was purchased to be fitted inside my motorhome so I could easily monitor the damp levels inside the vehicle when it's layed up for the winter. This little unit is very light and could be stuck to a surface using double sided sticky pads, but as it also has a keyhole type mounting for a single screw on the rear, this is what I used. It also neatly hid the screw hole left by the motothome's previous owners! It even comes in a choice of colours.The display is nice and east to read, with equal prominence given to both temperature and humidity. I cannot testify to the accuracy of the unit as I do not have access to testing equipment,

Had some issues in our house with condensation in winter. Bought a dehumidifier, but wanted to be able to keep an eye on the humidity to see if it was having a real effect. This little gizmo was perfect. Great design, very clear display, simply to use. While other reviews are right about the numbers not being viewable at certain angles, as far as I know this has always been the case with LCD displays of this nature, and if you're too lazy to tilt the thing a handful of degrees then there's just no helping you.Runs off those cheap cell batteries (I forget which exact type), with one included so it's ready to go out of the box. Has a 'min' and 'max' function which shows you the highest and lowest readings from the past 24 hour period,

Pros:- Looks nice and stylish, modern, etc.- temperature is accurate enough (I am a chemistry A-level student and so tested it with a thermocouple and this was very close to real temperature)Cons:- Not backlit at all, so must be bright-ish to see the numbers- viewing angle is small, must be facing roughly straight-on with the device. If you look at it while standing up and this is below you on a table, you will struggle.Overall:The no backlight and small viewing angle is really a consequence of extending battery life, and I would rather have a long battery life and have to look at the device in the day at the correct-ish angle, than have to change the battery every week and spend a fortune on oddly-shaped batteries.Flawless design,

When I opened the box my initial impression of the thermometer was that it was quite stylish with large easy to read digits. When I removed the protective plastic film however I noticed a small piece of plastic or adhesive stuck in the middle of the clear display. I hoped it would wipe off but unfortunately it was on the inside. If I can spot it then whoever was doing the final QC inspection should have spotted it as well!Amazon returns brilliant as usual. I have bought a red one now. Lets hope this one is OK.Update 15th Oct: The new thermometer was delivered today and looks very smart. Surprisingly accurate too. I have increased the score to 4 stars.

Sound product for the price.Had them for a few weeks now and they are doing what I required them for which is monitoring various room temperatures and humidity levels around my home.This has allowed me to balance my heating system etc in cordination with the digital control thermostat and thermostatic radiator valves and obtain the correct comfort levels in all rooms given that lounge, halls, bedrooms etc. should all acheive and control at different levels.This optimisation, without losing any comfort, is saving on the running costs of our home buy putting heating etc in the correct rooms.

This arrived on time and works well. It works as described too, which is great with only one minor "problem". The default is Celsius and I use Fahrenheit and I've noticed that it changes back by itself sometimes. I have it in an accessible place which means I can turn it around and press the button again, so it's not too bad. Maybe those buttons on the front would be better? As an after-thought, I think it would be nice if the makers could show both Celsius and Fahrenheit on the same screen. There's probably one out there I just didn't search for it!

I had purchased around 20 Hama thermometers a few years ago for most of the rooms around the house and they pretty-much all went kaput over that period. They were awful quality and I cannot understand how Hama could have put their name to them.Enter these lovely things. They look smart, are slim and importantly, can be wall-mounted. The digits are nice and large although you cannot really see them fro angles greater than around 30 degrees from the centre. Just bear that in mind when positioning them.

Arrived promptly, well packed and there was good communication from the seller. Very clear display. Can't vouch for its accuracy, in fact we think the thermometer is a bit out but it was for the hygrometer feature that it was needed. It is certainly vey sensitive, reacting immediately as it is taken from room to room. We bought it because we have a condensation/ mould problem in our new house and have just bought a dehumidifier. These two pieces of kit are proving very useful in sorting the problem.

I'm pleased with the pair of hygrometers I bought. However, they show that the room temperature is one degree lower than my room thermostats' figures, so either the hygrometers or the room thermostats are slightly wrong. Easily portable, can be used on their stand or hung up. The accompanying leaflet explains that they re-set themselves every 24 hours. When they reach the optimal temperature and humidity level a smiley face appears on the display.

Does the job. Confirmed my suspicions of a very damp room, made me buy a decent dehumidifier. It is accurate within a couple of %, dehumidifier shuts off at 55% and this device usually has the same measurement. As others stated, you have to pick it up and look at it straight on to see the numbers properly, but this is a tiny issue for me as we don't exactly have to check every 5 minutes. Looks good and is small.

Great product. Seems to be accurate. Great display, nice size and design, easy to read (near and far) and so pleased there are no hideous logos. I bought this more for my plants, than for myself but thanks to this product I became aware that the humidity in my flat is actually quite low (even for me) so I will buy a humidifier soon. I like this brand (I have their alarm clock which I'm also very pleased with).

This is one of the most useful items I've ever bought.Good compact size, very clear display and easy to stand on any surface, so can be moved to different rooms if necessary. If you have a damp room and you think it is affecting your asthma then this is essential for you to monitor the humidity. It also gives you the temperature of the room. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.

I'd previously bought 2 of these for my parents who wanted to check whether the dehumidifier they had bought was working properly. I then bought this one for myself as I wanted to measure the temp during the recent heatwave. Nice, big, clear display, doesn't take up much room. A lot more accurate than the free heatstrip thermometer that my electricity company gave me years ago!
