We use this amazing little device with a Rode NTG-2 microphone. It will record parallel tracks at different volumes, just in case you peak higher than expected. This has saved so much time because I no longer have to ask an actor to do another take because their voice peaked too high, I just cut to the quieter track.Quickly you realise that using internal batteries to power it is a silly idea. Even high yield batteries don't last very long. Instead we use a 50,000 mAh powerbank which we connect to the mini USB port. We once left it recording all night, and we'd used perhaps one tenth of the power in the powerbank.Another feature it has is its 'WIDE' function.
