This is just about the only product currently on the market that can turn almost any decent dynamic microphone with and XLR socket into a digital audio recorder, simply by attaching it to the socket.It works. Its recordings are of good audio quality. However, the controls and the display are very small and fiddly to use, plus it seems rather fragile. Drop the mic with the DR-10 attached and it is likely that the union between the two will be the failure point.Good for Tascam for producing an affordable device that occupies a niche that no other manufacturer is currently addressing. Possibly adding another £50-£100 of build quality,
