Ok first off i just want to say I am a huge fan of the dying art known as the platformer game...these day's games are become alot more generic with the shooters and everything, not that i hate gears of war and stuff like that but you have to understand games like tarzan are really on the decline...and to me, this is a bad thing because this will keep gamers from a variety of gaming that they need to have an ultimate video game experiance.light hearted platformers like this one are great for just lightening ones spirits rather than just playing dark depressing shooters all the time..i wouldn't advise anyone only play games like that because to me your just putting yourself in a wrong frame of mind through constant negativity.Game's like Tarzan are a fun experiance in it's own way and a good way to just feel good and enjoy the positive and bright setting as well the comical characters..all this has put a smile on my face since 1989...As for this particular Tarzan game, i feel it is just as good as tarzan unleashed as well as the original tarzan for the ps1. what sets it apart is all the sliding you will do lol...there are slides galore in this game. No you don't surf on trees like the other two but i can assure you, there are plenty of other fun things to do. One thing you can do exclusivly in this one is swim which is pretty fun..and as opposed to just swinging on vines there are also spring vines which spring you up in the air, also quite entertaining :) Other things they have are one level where you have to race against the tide to save tirk by jumping through obsticles and another is one where you just constantly have to avoid wild boars while going through a level too. As opposed to the other two, this entire game is in side scrolling fashion aka 2d but i wouldn't let that discourage you from buying it honestly.I would highly recommend you buy this game for yourself or your child...yes, it is challenging, but i don't think you should let that discourage you from buying it either..challenges are tough, but in the end very rewarding...if anything, you could always use cheat codes if there is absolutely one part you just give up on..i wouldn't recommend doing that but hey..we are only human right? plus cheats can sometimes make a game more fun :)In conclusion i will say this...shooters are great and have highly evolved gaming as we know it...but don't let go of your inner child...don't let go of the magic that platformers like this have given you as a child. it is a part of you still whether you know it or not and mario and crash bandicoot really miss you!-Jared
