The bottom line is I am glad I bought this bag.The pros: 1. long enough to easily hold my Nikon 500mm with body and teleconverter attached 2. big enough to also carry my iPad, phone etc by inserting my own velcro/padded dividers to act as internal side slots and for longer trips I can throw in some spare clothing too 3. Quite lightweight which helps for hikes and cycling 4. The opening flap allows me to pull the camera out with the zips just a third opened from the top so I don't have to lay the bag flat on the ground. 5. Outside side pockets can be used for small water bottle. 6. Improvised quick realease strap can be attached to the outside to prevent accidental opening. The cons : external and internal pockets are very small and are barely large enough even for cleaning stuff, not even big enough for a teleconverter. This means the user needs to be creative in using their own padded dividers/velcro to create space to slot extra gear in, like an iPad or phone, but be very careful those things can't fall out and end up in the bottom of the bag as that could damage the lens. Conclusion : Great bag for carrying long lens + other gear on short trips/rides...I wouldn't take it up a mountain or use for serious jungle treks, but it is definitely much better than the closest "competition" from the likes of Thinktank, who ought to think more

I purchased this as a holiday bag for my fuji x kit. It's very well made with comfy padded straps and belt. There's the main compartment with adjustable padding, a laptop/ipad compartment, twin outer pockets and a lower outer pocket. It also comes with a rain cover and tripod straps. The main compartment holds my xt2/battery grip with the 100-400 and 1.4 tc mounted. It also holds my xp2/xp1/xp1/xt10 and a mix of short zoom and prime lenses. It also hold my charger, blower etc. and the outers hold a few 10 stops, batteries and cables. There's also room for more!Excellent backpack for fuji x multiple bodies.

Before I brought this bag I had well what I thought was originally a decent sized bag, when this arrived pretty fast aswell I then could see the size difference was next level , I could put my old bag inside of this one , all round the bag is perfect loads of space have a 5d mk4 with a few lenses including 70-200 so needed a bag that could hold a good few sized lenses and does that easily with room for more. With the straps and support can easily walk round all day no matter the weight that is inside the bag as well supported.

I've bought many tamrac products over the years and have always been pleased with the quality of the items, this doesn't disappoint well made will hold a 500 mm lens easy, I use it with my 500mm and D3s or 700 body attached, bag is well padded and adjustable camera collar and lens pads work to get a snug secure grip for your equipment, some internal pockets for filters etc and lower zipped pouch, extra accessories can be added, overall a good quality bag to carry your expensive equipment.

After using it for the first time, i'm excited with the comfortable feeling it had on my back. It has enough space for my gear and more (extra batterie, cards, etc) !!! High quality material, thick and adjustable padding provides required safety of gear; and plenty of compartments for small items. A five star for sure, even though a bit expensive, it's worth the cost.

Holds a full line up. 2 x XT2 bodies with grips 100-400, 50-140, 300 2.8, 16mm, 56mm, 90mm, 27mm, 18-55, light meter, tubes & extenders, 2 x large flash. Plus everything else needed for a full days shooting, with space to spare. With a large Manfrotto 055 tripod on it i can still carry it for miles.

Great bag. perfect for my needs as a landscape photographer with full-frame DLSR, 4 F2.8 lenses and all the filters and accessories. I tried many bags over the last week, this is the only one that provided everything I need

Great bag. Keeps the lens nice and secure. The only thing I would ask for is more compartments on the side of the bag to put things. There isn't a lot of space inside with the larger lenses.

The backpack is perfect for my use in accommodating a DSLR with battery pack and 100 - 400mm telephoto lens attached. Plus ample space for additional lenses and and kit to be stored.

I pack a lot of kit in this. Medium format camera, lenses, filters etc but it’s comfortable to wear with the waist straps adding stability and comfort

Love it. YTop quality bag, well made . I’ve taken the waist belt off mine as it got in the way when not wearing. It’s still super comfy without

Super backpack which with one of the foam pieces in the bottom just can handle a Nikkor 600mm FL with an attached camera.

Bought this to tote a 500mm lens. Fit is perfect. Well made and sturdy. Not too heavy either which is a bonus.
