This is the follow up to the original Steins; Gate and is again produced by 5pb and Nitro Plus, with original scenario writer Chiyomaru Shikura returning. Like the original the game takes the form of a visual novel with interactivity limited to a few selections that allow you to follow the five story lines.The tale follows Rintaro Okabe, the protagonist from the first game as he attempts to save the life of Kurisu Makise in the beta world line.The bulk of the original cast return too, along with a couple of new additions.The presentation remains much as it did in the first outing, making excellent use of lush stills and limited animation to tell its story.
